It smells so nice here! I need whatever they're using. Strongest, most fragrant jasmine tea i've had. I thought that it would come with milk since I ordered the jasmine tea with matcha cloud foam which was listed under latte, but I think it didn't have any milk? Will try just ordering a milk tea next time but i'm still very happy with my drink. Does take a while for the drink to get made though . I think I waited 30 minutes and there was only one group of like 4 people ahead of me.
First time trying HeyTea and it was delicious! The wait was around 15-20 mins and there were a lot of people, which was expected since it's the weekend. I got jasmine matcha and it was delicious. Honestly worth the hype and will definitely come back and try other things! Their mango drinks were sold out which was a bummer. Service was great and they made the drinks as quickly as they could.
I had high expectations coming in since many of my friends recommended this place. Sadly, I was disappointed in how the Supreme Matcha Latte tasted. I personally just don't like when my sweet drinks have cheese/salt flakes added to it since I don't think it compliments well. I avoided their Cloud Matcha Latte when I learned that the "cloud" foam was made of cheese. Thus, I was very surprised when I realized the Supreme Matcha Latte also had a cheese/salty flavor. In general, it was not sweet enough and I also did not expect the drink to have some sort of gelatin chunks in it...Definitely was not a big fan of the drink (5.5/10). The drink took about 15 minutes to be ready because they were so swamped with online orders. They have a fan inside that never turns off, hence, it was so cold for me while waiting for the drink. Parking is convenient and free as there is a parking lot. Not too many tables and chairs set up inside as it's very small. Overall, I don't think I'll be ordering matchas from here, but I would be open to trying their other drinks.
I ordered off the app cause this location can get busy. And considering the busy parking situation, it can be difficult picking up your drink. The picking up line was long while no one was ordering. The line moved decently but the staff were definitely busy and doing their best. You're also not likely going to be hangout around inside since it mostly packed with folks waiting for drinks. This location is more for a pick up amd go type. I was actually going to save my drink for the next day but wanted a sip to try it fresh. I ended up finishing it in one sitting. I got the supreme matcha latte. It was good, not too sweet, and quite creamy. I definitely would get it again even with the hassle of obtaining it. I tried another's drink that had boba. And it was pretty good. I usually don't prefer bobas cause they can be too tough and chewy. But these were soft and thus unintrusive for your drinking experience.
HEYTEA is solid and pretty unique when it comes to their milk teas and tea slushies. As long as you've decided to get a premium tea at a premium price, then you can't really go wrong with HEYTEA. You can actually taste the floral notes from the tea and they use fresh fruit, so there's a lot of positives. The downside is that a drink is quickly approaching $10. But if you're here already, then you'd accepted it.
More like 4.5 stars honestly, but I rounded up lol! Date of visits: 1/19/2025 and 1/20/2025 (MLK Holiday) 2 days in a row, guys! This is how you can tell how much I love a place and how it leaves me wanting for more! First time I experienced HeyTea was in Singapore back in 2023. I thought it was just ok at that time. They were more tea and not so much matcha and fruit drinks iirc. Yesterday, I had Mango Grapefruit Boom and today I had Matcha Bobo Shake . I actually wanted to order Matcha Coconut today, which is one of the collab between Vita Coco and Hey Tea, but it was marked sold out. Between the 2 that I tried, I like Mango Grapefruit Boom better. I like how the mango and the grapefruit provide quite a contrast of flavor in the drink and the coconut flavor from the coconut milk and the coconut pudding actually bridges the 2. Meanwhile, the matcha drink was just ok for me. I wanted a stronger taste of matcha and unfortunately I didn't taste it in my drink. I also think the drink is rather milky. Somewhat more milky than I usually prefer. Not sure if I could order it with skim milk next time, if what I had today was whole. My son who ordered Matcha Zen Latte on the first visit commented the same about the lightness taste of the matcha in his drink. Come on HeyTea, step it up! All in all, both visits were positive and I can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu!
Heytea recently opened up in Rowland Heights. They are so super popular in New York so my friends and I wanted to try it. Some of their drinks are insanely overpriced ranging from $7 to even $10 for their specialized slushy drinks. We all ordered the mango coconut boom. It came with mango, coconut jelly, and sago inside. The drink was super refreshing and didn't taste artificial at all. I wanted to try their matches too but they were more on the pricey side. The inside isn't too big and their seats are pretty short.
Boba- 8/10The boba was good, but not the best I've ever had. Personally, I would have liked to see more boba in the drink, but that's just my preference. Drink- 8/10 Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea- I asked for 100% sweetness, but this drink was definitely not sweet enough for my taste. I even had to go back to ask for extra sweetener. I've had brown sugar drinks at other places, and they've always been much sweeter. Service- 9/10 The customer service was great, even though the staff was busy. I had a few questions for the cashier, but she spoke quite softly, and I had to ask her to repeat herself a few times. Overall, I appreciated the service, but a little more volume would help! Cost- 2/10 $7.99 in total with boba. Oh hell no this drink is way too overpriced!!
New boba shop alert?!?! Finally tried HeyTea (I've been wanting to try their Irvine location but one opened in this area so yayyy) after waiting so long after they popped off on social media. I ordered the coconut mango bloom and LOVEEE how they use real ingredients - the mango OMG. I love coconut and mangos and this combination was litcherally the best thing ever. I ordered my drink at 40% less sweet & imo it was perfectly sweetened :-) I need to come back and try their other drinks -- when I was inside I got a whiff of a strong tea fragrance and I LOVED it ! I will try their teas next time I come. I would reccomend ordering through the app because the wait is a bit long. I waited 15-20ish minutes for my drink. The ambiance of the shop is aesthetically pleasing + super clean.
Good: +The boba was the perfect chewiness as very yummy! +The ordering kiosk worked well and the order came quickly Bad: -It doesn't seem like they have a selector option on their menu for milk alternates so dairy free folks beware! Some of the drinks have a whole different menu item for the dairy free variant but it seemed inconsistent. +The shop was pretty crowded despite the large amount of seating
Not sure if I'd wait 30+ minutes for this again... I highly recommend ordering via the app instead of in-person. I've been to several HEYTEA locations now, and this is definitely one of the busiest shops I've seen! ON A WEDNESDAY @1PM, There were 65 DRINKS ahead of me in queue when I ordered. Despite the insane price tags on these drinks......... The fresh fruit and ingredients truly draw me to this chain everytime. I'd recommend the Fluffy Cloud Crisp Grape (crasy expensive though...) or the Mulberry Boom. If you like Milk Tea, the Cloud Milk Tea with Sago is great (but expensive for what it is). Their VitaCoco collab was TOP TIER too :)))
This place popped off on social media lately so I stopped by one Monday evening when I was in the area. Heard about lines wrapping around the corner so I was glad I went on a weekday evening around 7pm as there were only about 5 people there at the time with plenty of seating both indoors and out. Great aesthetics; everything is white. A few people working the store and everyone seemed pretty friendly and helpful. There's also a kiosk on the side but it wasn't working at the time I went. Perhaps it's for when the store is more busy. I ordered the cloud matcha and my friend got the mango grapefruit boom or similar. Despite seeming like there weren't really customers there, it still took about 15 minutes for our drinks to be ready. I assume there's quite a bit of online orders for pickup. We both enjoyed our drinks and would come back again. Taste was great, napkins looked cute, and even the sticker they use for the side of the drink was good quality. I thought the price was a little high for the more average drinks like a regular matcha (my matcha drink was $7.99) but a bit more reasonable for the fancier drinks like the mango grapefruit or the coconut mango. Hearing great things about the other fruity drinks from Yelp so I'd be willing to stop by again and try something else. Don't forget to use the app for a percentage off your drink.

Was worried it wouldn't nail the grape flavor, but it exceeded it, has a green grape juice, fresh flavor with chunks of grapes and topped with cheese foam. A MUST try (9.8/10) + Mulberry Strawberry Boom ($6.99; 0-cal sweetener, less ice, less sugar): the mulberry flavor is the strongest, subtle strawberry and lemon. Pieces of mulberry very similar flavor to blackberry but less sweet. 0-cal sweetener has that slight aftertaste (6/10)
this was my first time trying heytea and i was shocked by their prices bc its a more $$$ boba very pricey but it makes up for it bc the drinks look so nice and taste very good. i love mango so i loved this drink, not too sweet and very fluffy and light. this place has a cool aesthetic too i like all the stone. a location opened in sd so i want to try the grape boom and the triple matcha next read more
Drinks taste good, smooth, and are high-quality. I understand what the hype is. We ordered just a little bit too many between 4 people but we wanted to try many of the drinks. I've fully converted to being a heytea stan. Ever since they opened in Irvine and Rowland Heights, I swear I've been going at least once a week. I do wish the drinks were a bit more affordable, but honestly, the quality is consistently high and totally worth it. My go-to orders are the Coconut Cloud Blue and the Coconut Mango Boom. Both are incredible. The Coconut Cloud Blue literally tastes like if Melomelo became a drink. Basically coconut milk ON CRACK. The Coconut Mango Boom is super refreshing, especially in the summer when mangoes are in season. And if you're into floral flavors, the Matcha Cloud Jasmine Latte is also a fave, very jasmine-forward and super aromatic. I'm hoping to try their matcha supreme soon. I've rarely had a bad experience at Heytea. One time I did get a plastic wrapper in my drink (yikes), but their customer service was great and refunded me right away. My only real complaint is that the Rowland Heights location doesn't allow online ordering, which means you can't collect points, kinda annoying. But other than that, I highly recommend Heytea as your next tea stop. :)) read more

Good quality boba and milk tea! I had the bobo milk tea with less sugar and less ice. The milk tea itself was very creamy and a good sweetness for me, and the boba itself had a good chewy texture and a light sweetness. The store was very packed when going on a weekend night, but that is to be expected with a good boba shop in the area. The seating was alright, I was glad they had lots of tables for people to sit outside. I'd recommend this boba spot for sure! read more

Came here on a Tuesday around 7pm and it was relatively empty! I've walked by here on a weekend before and it was super packed. I had a few questions about the menu and the staff were super nice and helpful. We got the Coco Water Matcha & the Matcha Cloud Green Tea. The matcha here is SO GOOD! I gave a sip to my husband who does not like matcha or coconut water and even he said it was some pretty good matcha! I can't speak for the other drinks (yet) but their matcha is definitely worth trying! read more

This drink is probably the worst matcha I've tried. The wait was pretty long about 40 mins or so, It just tastes like water and milk, hardly taste the matcha. Not worth no dang 7.99 lol read more
On a whim decided to try a different boba place with my 15 yr old and my 12 yr old. The ambience was my jam.. organic/no artificial ingredients, clean white asthetic. It was pretty crowded inside. I did not have to interact with anyone because I ordered from the kiosk. My favorite part is.., the only place that had a lite menu and calorie count on all of the drinks. That may not seem very exciting but this is pretty rare and since I am watching what I eat this is super helpful. We ordered and I checked out an it was about 27.00 dollars for 3 drinks.. omg this better be good. Restroom was out of service for construction so I could not rate the cleanliness. Upon observation, the workers are friendly to the customers and are working really hard behind the counters without talking. Me: passion fruit tea with lychee off of the light menu (5.99). I ordered it with real-0 calorie sweetener. I would order this again. I loved the real fruit pieces, the taste, and light options. 12 year old: mango slushee (9.99). Had cheese cloud on top. He rated it an 8/10 for the delicious mango slushee with real mango on the bottom but he said the foam was salty. I tried it and it was delicious because it was cheese foam, the quality was amazing but my kids do not appreciate cheese anything. 15 year old: (10.98). Fluffy cloud strawberry. My daughter is the picky boba drinker and said it was a 6.5/10. She loved the fluffy texture and said the quality was there but didn't like the cheese foam as well and it was not an option to take off on the menu. She loved the jelly on the bottom. Summary: I would go here again, but by myself so I don't have to pay for my kids expensive drinks.. ha ha. My drink was reasonably priced but my kids were expensive and I am sure it was because it required more expensive ingredients. read more

I've been excited to try HeyTea as they recently opened up here. I got the Coconut Mango Boom and Mango Grapefruit Boom. They're known to use all real ingredients and I can clearly taste it. The mix of both drinks, the coconut mango drink and mango grapefruit drink was very complimentary. The wait time may be long because there's always a line. Service is good The shop is pretty small but for the size of the place., there's lots of seating right outside. read more
AMAZING!!! I got the coconut mango bloom, and it was a SOLID 10/10. I had very low expectations, but to my surprise, I was mind blown. I usually cannot finish a whole drink when I go to noah shops , resulting in throwing around half a drink away..... BUT I finished this drink within the first 10 minutes. Please try, if you like mango and coconut - It's so goood!!! The shop is usually packed, waiting time was around 15 minutes. Worth every minute though! read more

The line was long for a reason! The drinks were so yummy and the sweetness levels were perfect because I don't like my drinks too sweet. I got the green tea w/ cheese foam. The foam was so gooood. I tried my friend's grape boom drink. It tasted like the jellos you get at asian supermarkets, so it felt very nostalgic. Even though the line was long, the workers were quick with making the drinks. Since this store was recently opened, there were a lot of people on arrival. The vibe was very vibrant and the store itself looked classy and modern. Line was not too long and the service was fast, but I wish they had more physical menus to look at. The only menu available was right in front of the cashier, and the QR code they had directed us to download the mobile app, which I feel is an unnecessary extra step, especially for those who just want to look at a menu. I ended up getting the strawberry peach boom with less sweet and half ice. It was overall a decent and refreshing drink. My only big issues with it was that neither the fruit nor tea flavor was that strong and that it only came in a slushy form (employee said all the boom drinks were only in slushy form). I may return again to try the other fruit drinks to see how they compare since trying only one drink from their variety of options is the not the best judge of the store as a whole. read more
If you love fruit teas, you have got to try HeyTea! One of my favorite boba shops from China, HeyTea has made its way to Cali and it's as good as I remembered. My favorite drink from them is the Crisp Grape Boom, it's blended grapes with green tea, peeled grape pulp, and optional agar jelly and cheese foam. What makes them unique compared to other fruit shops is their attention to detail. Grape tea is one of my favorite new trendy drinks, and I've tried almost all the local places that offers a variation. However a lot of the times the grape skin gets stuck in your teeth and makes it difficult to drink even if the flavor is great. HeyTea does not have that problem at all, their grape tea is smooth and the addition of peeled grape pulp makes me feel extra spoiled! I also love their mango coconut pomelo drink. The menu is slightly smaller than the one from China but they're adding new items here and there so I'm excited to see how they grow! Service is fairly quick, you can also order on their app for pick up. The parking is kind of tight but there's a small underground lot as well. Can't fault them for that. Also all the HeyTea stores smell amazing, like fragrant jasmine. read more

Was finally able to visit a HeyTea location and they did not disappoint! The employees were all so friendly and welcoming :) They were busy making many drinks so expect a little wait time while waiting for your drinks! Also, they were probably training a bit too. Ambiance was okay, small seating area indoor and outdoor expect pretty loud music(which I was fine with). Neat, simple, and tidy place. Wished the place was bigger As a cheese/cream topper lover I would definitely recommend HeyTea! Their cheese topping was on point and delicious. I ordered the Strawberry Peach Boom and added double cheese w/ regular ice and half(medium) sugar. The combo went so well together. The cheese was so addicting lol For the sugar level I would recommend from 50% to 100% for their fruit drinks(haven't tried their milk tea yet). To me 50% sugar felt like 25%-30% sugar Hopefully in the future they would add more drinks onto their menu! I would come back to try their other drinks if I'm around the area :D Btw parking lot is pretty small and felt compacted read more

Wanted to leave a review with photo of latest menu since there aren't any. I tried their coconut mango sago drink and it was nice and lite. Mango was sweet and in season. Quite a few people working and they were all busy making drinks. I used the self serve kiosk to place order, very user friendly. read more

tried heytea for the first time in NY this past summer and have been craving it ever since so i was super excited to see a location up near me! they were super busy when we got there and constantly had people coming in to pick up mobile orders. the cloud crisp grape was especially yummy with the real pieces of grape and the matcha zen's foam was chef's kiss. read more

Got the yumberry cheese foam. Tasted pretty good and fresh! Ambiance was nice and had a lot of people on a Sunday! Parking in structure or the lot. This place is located next to Ajisen ramen. Would go again to try the mulberry ! read more

We went late afternoon on a Friday and we were able to order our drinks right away. We ordered a strawberry boom and supreme brown sugar boba milk. The strawberry boom was very refreshing and the sweetness was perfect. However, the supreme brown sugar boba milk was very disappointing as it tasted like plain milk. Despite that, I would definitely come this place regularly though for the strawberry boom. It is also a nice hang out spot as there is some cozy indoor seating and plenty of outdoor seating. read more

one of the best tea shops I've ever had. This is one of the few boba shops that actually sticks in my head and constantly crave now. Their use of fresh fruit makes such a huge difference in texture and flavor compared to other shops, and even the inside of the store smells like fresh tea leaves. can't wait to go back again and try more flavors!! read more
