Finally tried the mango mango drink! Can't believe the drink includes 3 mangos in it along with other ingredients. I can see why my coworkers love it too! Will definitely reorder this again but maybe at one of their other locations because parking was difficult to find in the small plaza.
Went with my coworkers to try the drinks and they were honestly rlly good. We got the mango drink and the rice Hojicha drink. The service was very quick and the drinks came out quickly. The store isn't super big with a couple of seats to sit while you chat or wait for your drinks. There's this free photo machine which is so cute for aesthetic hangouts.
We actually got our order delivered to our office today, and I would say my drink really hit the spot on a labor intensive day. I got the mango mango which was a quite refreshing green tea smoothie. The drink was loaded with huge chunks of fresh mango, agar boba, county milk, with a twist of grape fruit. The drink is definitely on the sweeter side, but it was refreshing and everything was as you'd expect. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.
My fave drink here..their Poppin Milk Tea Quarter Sweet, w/ Rice Krispies, and popping barley boba; has so many layers to it, coconut, barley, roasted tea~ My top 3 tea stores here in Rowland-- 3Cat, CHA Redefine, Chi Cha, w/ Tenju a runner up 4th.
Update: I was for their seasonal mangosteen BOGO. TBH neither of the drinks stood out to me. I got them both with no sweet. I wasn't a fan of the pearl in the Jasmine mangosteen pearl. Also the mangosteen flavor isn't strong and it tastes artificial flavored. The peach flavor isn't strong enough either. I wouldn't get these two drinks again. Came here wanting to grab a tea as a refreshment. The inside is very small so the recommendation is to get it to go. The service was fast on the weekend. Would recommend their many assortments of teas. The jasmine was really good.
I ordered the Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte ($7.25 - Large - 75% Sweet - Less Ice) with Brown Sugar Boba (additional 75 cents). To my immense surprise, it's very delicious. The milk carries that crisp, fresh tea flavor. And its Brown Sugar Boba came silky, warm, and supple. It's one of the best boba that I've ever tasted. (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring card or contactless payment.) I arrived at Cha Redefine (Rowland Heights) on a Tuesday (around 11:30AM - Opening Time). Parking is available, but it's competitive. Luckily, I found an open spot in its big lot. As I approached Cha Redefine (Rowland Heights), I felt myself frowning at the "B" sign on its window. When I entered, Staff casually glanced upon me before resuming their chatter amongst one another. There's two self-service kiosks, and I felt disappointed how each screen looked sticky and smudgy despite being the first customer of the day. Staff felt youthful and easily distracted. When I'd sit down, Staff were audibly gossiping and laughing about past customers. It felt surreal and unprofessional. Staff did greet me kindly when I made eye contact; however, the direct interaction with Staff felt minimal. My order took two minutes and 11 seconds. Very quick! As mentioned, I genuinely loved the Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte ($7.25 - Large - 75% Sweet - Less Ice) with Brown Sugar Boba (additional 75 cents). It's Sri Lanka Ceylon Black Tea with Fresh Milk, Whipped Cream, and Honey Roasted Pecan. The top felt fluffy; the honey roasted pecan had a fresh crunch; and the tea felt fresh and soothing. The warm brown sugar boba were the showstopper though. I felt myself melt into a puddle of joy as I munched on these cuddly, fresh pearls. Concerning ambiance, Cha Redefine (Rowland Heights) is fairly bare. The four small tables, floors, and windows are very clean. However, during my visit, the restroom was out-of-order. The music is upbeat and soft. There's also about four available electrical sockets beneath its long bench. When I'd arrived, there were not many customers during opening time. Overall, Cha Redefine (Rowland Heights) offers thoughtful, good quality drinks. What's the point of having a rewards program if the reward can't even be honored? I drove all the way from Orange County to redeem a birthday reward through their Toast rewards app, which provides a $5 off QR code that is supposedly scannable in-store. Unfortunately, none of the employees were able to scan the code and simply told me to try ordering online instead -- except there isn't even an option to order online. It felt like the system was set up to fail, and no one was willing to help troubleshoot or find a workaround. The staff came across as nonchalant and dismissive about the issue. What frustrated me most was that even though they could have taken my order directly, they told me to go back to the kiosk and try again, which required waiting in line behind seven people. After about a 15-minute wait, I finally got back to the kiosk and discovered the reward only applied after entering my phone number -- not by scanning the QR code like the app instructs. I don't place all the blame on the employees -- the app itself is poorly designed and misleading -- but the lack of guidance and customer support in-store made the experience worse. Overall, it was a very disappointing visit, and unfortunately we won't be coming back. **note: the irony in all this was that I showed them the Toast app, which they operate their reward system from and the employees looked at me like they were seeing it for the very first time. If you look down at the register, it literally says "Toast" on it and so does the screen where you enter your number for rewards.
Orange Green Tea with Avocado Foam was shockingly good... It sounds like a really odd pairing BECAUSE IT IS! I recommend sipping the avocado foam alone first. Almost like avocado ice cream, but better. Super fresh, rich, and creamy! I looooved this. I could eat that by itself even... The Orange Green Tea itself was super tasty!!! Fresh orange juice with lots of pulp. Not too sweet (I got 50% sugar) and the tea flavor shined through. A fragrant jasmine tea. I recommend!
One of the best hojicha lattes I've tried!! Cheese Hojicha Jelly Latte It was creamy and the hojicha flavor was nice and strong. Nice cheese taste from the cheese milk. Doesn't feel oily. Comes with da hong pao tea jelly, which has just the right consistency and texture, not too firm and not too soft. Served with fresh milk. 50% sugar wasn't too sweet. Got it with less ice. Had a good experience here at Cha Redefine. Came in no wait, browsed the menu a little bit and had no questions. Everything was pretty descriptive if you are familiar with most tea houses. Our drinks were made in a very reasonable amount of time. We didn't have to wait excessively as some reviews had mentioned. It was perfect for us because we had gotten some food at Liang Crispy Roll and since they have no tables there, we brought our food to Cha Redefine where they have 4 small tables to sit and enjoy our drinks and our food. It all worked out. As for the size, getting the larger of the two sizes was only an additional charge of $.45, so pretty worth it.
I've been to their other locations, and this one is just as good. There's some seating inside, and they also have a big parking lot, though it does fill up fast. You order through a self-service kiosk, which is convenient. We got the osmanthus chappuccino and the cha cha hojicha. Both were really good! Our favorite part was the mochi in the drinks, and the added oats in the cha cha hojicha gave it such a nice texture. They also have a cute free photo booth inside, which adds to the experience. Definitely recommend!
Absolutely love the Mango Mango. It's so fresh and refreshing. Love the fruit chunks and jellies. One of those drinks you can't stop sipping. The Coco Mango is also a great option if you're looking for something fruity and creamy. It's blended with their House Avocado Smoothie. Not overly sweat. You order from the kiosk, and staff seemed to turn around drinks at a decent speed. This place is small with little seating. I hate this parking lot so much, but worth navigating for all the goodies in this plaza.
This place was solid in all the drinks from refresher to matcha latte!! We got their lemon cha @ regular 100% sweet which was very refreshing and flavorful with a good balance of sweet and sour and it tasted like real fruits, not artificial! The matcha matcha was heavy in the sense that you taste alot of matcha while still being sweet. I love sweet einspanners but have GERD so sometimes it's too sweet for me but because it's matcha foam instead of cream on top of the latte, it was the perfect amount of "not TOO too sweet" just perfect. and this was at 100% sweet btw! read more

We got the Strawberry Slush, and I also tried the Cha-Cha Lychee Rice, which honestly ended up being better than I expected! I usually stick with lychee green tea, so I wasn't sure how I would feel about the rice wine flavor, but I was pleasantly surprised. You can taste a subtle hint of the rice wine along with the lychee, and the flavors actually blend really well together without being overpowering. The Strawberry Slush was also really good! We got it at 125% sweetness, and it ended up being the perfect level of sweetness for us. I was hoping to try the matcha as well, but unfortunately they were sold out when we came. I'll definitely be coming back, and hopefully I'll finally get to try the matcha next time! read more
Stopped by on a Monday night around 9 PM and had a great experience. Ordering was super easy thanks to the self-serve kiosks, which made the process quick and convenient. I ordered the Taro Mochi milk tea and customized it to 25% sweetness. I generally don't like my drinks too sweet, but I wasn't sure if choosing 0% sweetness would affect the taro flavor. Thankfully, 25% ended up being perfect. This was easily one of the best taro milk teas I've had from any boba shop. The taro paste really allows the taro flavor to shine independently from the milk tea itself. A common issue I find at other places is that the taro flavor is either too weak or the drink ends up overwhelmingly sweet. Cha Redefined strikes a really nice balance between the two. The mochi is also one of my favorite drink toppings, so I appreciated that they already offer a taro milk tea option that includes it. It paired perfectly with the drink and added a great texture. The shop itself has plenty of seating and a relaxed, chill atmosphere that's great for hanging out or studying. While we didn't have much interaction with the staff, our drinks came out surprisingly fast, especially considering how busy many boba shops can get in the evening. Overall, I was really impressed by both the quality of the drink and the atmosphere. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm craving a taro milk tea. read more

Came for the lychee series and left with 100 drinks. They menu is so grand and has so many great options. Not only were the tastes fantastic but the staff really helped in choosing what we should get and provided amazing recommendations. The carpenters were playing in the background for music and that's my band.... So I loved how the overall feel of the location made me feel and the drinks were 10/10. read more
Their drinks are soooo good. The flavor itself was really great. There is not that much seating, but I did not have a hard time finding a spot bc it seemed most people took drinks to go. The interior is kinda trendy Asian cafe style. My only note is I got their mochi but it kinda tasted like cheese/ sea salt foam? I personally just prefer other mochi toppings I've had that do not have that taste. However, I have also gone to another boba place recently where their mochi had that same cheese foam taste, so perhaps that's just the style of mochi topping these days. read more
Been here a few times and always appreciate that they rotate in seasonal drinks, so there's usually something new to try. There are a few tables inside to sit and catch up with a friend. This time I got the Popping Milk Tea, a popcorn flavored milk tea with barley. It was refreshing, creamy, and light. read more

After trying this place three times, I've decided that Cha Redefine is one of my favorite boba places! My favorite drink is the Coco Strawberry (which my friends and I did not order today). The Coco Mango is also really good, but I personally prefer the Coco Strawberry over it because I think the tartness of strawberries better contrasts with the richness of the avocado smoothie. The Matcha Tornado was also very good: both the Matcha and tarot flavors were very strong and rich. I got the Fresh Strawberry Green Tea, which was light, refreshing, and tart. The strawberries tasted fresh. I personally thought it paled in comparison to the other drinks, but it was still good. One criticism is that I did order boba as a topping (it doesn't come with it normally), but they added such a small amount of boba. The coco mango had so much more agar boba than my drink did. I was a little peeved by this, given that I had paid extra for the boba. Service was good, drinks were ready in a timely manner. The shop was small but there was still some seating and tables which was nice. read more

I came here previously for this promotion and no code was required at that time. However, today we were told that a code is needed to receive the same promotion, which was confusing and frustrating. I believe it's Cha Redefine's responsibility to better educate and align their staff on current promotions so that both customers and employees have a clear and consistent understanding. When promotions are unclear or inconsistently applied, it creates unnecessary confusion and wastes customers' time. The promotion itself is what motivated us to come. The drink is fine--good, but not exceptional--and honestly, it's not worth the extra time and effort if the promotion terms are not clearly communicated and honored as advertised. Clear, consistent promotion policies would greatly improve the customer experience. read more

I used to enjoy Cha Redefine, but their quality has definitely dropped compared to before. I ordered the Da Hong Pao with pearls at 25% sugar. The tea itself was actually pretty good, but even at 25% sugar, it was still way too sweet. The main issue was the boba. Some of the pearls were hard in the middle, almost like they were undercooked, while others were overly soft and mushy. The texture was really inconsistent and honestly disappointing, especially for a bubble tea spot. With so many rising boba chains in the 626 now, Cha Redefine just doesn't feel like it's keeping up in terms of quality. The tea quality is still there, but the boba needs a lot more consistency. Drink cost me $8.50 read more
Cha Redefine is a tea and milk tea shop that focuses on accentuating the tea flavor. Anecdotally, they use similar recipe as 茶颜悦色, a viral milk tea shop in China. Their signature Sri Lanka Cha Latte is delicious, very pronounced tea flavor with a touch of coffee cream. The osmanthus oolong cha is my favorite, with delicate aroma from osmanthus and very approachable taste. The service during our visit was also efficient. The interiors are clean with some display of their tea bags and tea making kit for sale. read more

They changed their size for their matcha drinks. Talked to the lady, she said "you're getting even more now cause before we would fill the cup with ice." This matcha I ordered it for "less ice" and it's still 1/3 full. So I paid $8 for a small iced latte. Cha redefine used to be my go to boba place but, I might not come back honestly... telling my friends and family too... The lady made it seem like I was getting a deal with a smaller cup saying "you're getting more now! Even more!" I was puzzled What's the point of having a large size anymore if the cups are gonna be the same and ice is the only difference? (Not even in this case) everyone should just order a small from now on am I right? read more

Cha Redefine is a tea and coffee shop that uses modern brewing techniques to create unique drinks like their Chappuccino. This was my first time visiting the Rowland Heights location. I have tried the mochi drinks at different locations and really liked them so was looking forward to getting one at this location. Came here on a weekday evening and it wasn't busy. Upon entering, I was not greeted by the staff. Orders can be placed at the self-serve kiosk or with a staff member. I ordered the Mochiberry using the kiosk. My drink came out quickly. It's essentially a blended strawberry drink with freshly made rice mochi at the bottom. The flavor of the drink and the mochi were good, but the texture of the mochi was off. It was lumpy and pretty thick, which is different from the mochi I've had in drinks at the other locations. I was expecting it to be smooth and soft. Even so, I was still able to drink it through the boba straw I had, so it was okay. Overall, giving this Cha Redefine location a 3.5/5. The service was quick. Even though I wasn't greeted by the staff, they were not rude or anything. The drink flavor was good, just the mochi texture was off. I would come back to try it again; maybe it was an off day. read more

Drink- 10/10 Rose Jade Cream Foam Cha- I asked for 75% sweetness and I'm glad I did! It had a good level of sweetness for me. Service- n/a ordered from their kiosk. Cost- 8/10 $6.15 in total with boba. Boba topping costs $.65. The pricing is not bad especially for the location and size of drink. read more

On a whim, I decided to get a drink here in between my errands. Well I had a hard time deciding on what to order since everything looked so good. I finally decided to get the Matcha Tornado simply because it looked so good and it's one of the popular drinks. I love the matcha tornado! It's the perfect combination of ceremonial grade matcha and housemade taro. I especially loved the taro. It's smooth and flavorful. I can say that it's one of the best tasting housemade taro paste I've ever had in a boba shop. I'll definitely be back and try other drinks. The service was fast and the staffs were courteous. My little one wanted to use the restroom and one of the staffs was kind enough to offer help to punch in the code for the restroom. There are few tables and chairs if you want to hang out with few friends. There are a lot of parking and we were able to find ours quite easily when we came on a Friday afternoon. read more

My go to drink is the mochi barley milk tea 75% sweet with light ice. The mochi is incredibly soft and has a pleasantly chewy texture. This is based on one visit. Place is very clean and has 4 small tables for you to sit. You order on a large ipad, so all contactless. They have alot of unique choices of drinks, hence the 5 stars. I order the avocado coco (less sweet) and it was the perfect amount of sweet and slightly salty. It comes with agar and strawberries pieces. It was divine and I loved every sip. Will come back for this alone. My date enjoyed the mango smoothie. Great place for a date if there is a seat open. read more
