This was a solid place to stop. We had breakfast at noon and it was amazing. They also have giant mimosas which is always a welcome surprise. Excellent prices.

I only have great things to say about this place. We've stopped here twice on our way to Bend, Oregon and have loved it both times! The service is so friendly - and efficient without being intrusive, which I adore. Today, we had Bonnie and she was fabulous in every way. So fun! Ambiance = old school American cafe. Clean and cute. The food: BLAT sandwich = lovely! Shasta Burger = fantastic! Turkey Club = great! And the pies - wowza!! Will definitely stop by here again.

Friendly service and tasty American comfort food at a great price! The fish & chips were crispy and flavorful, and I loved salad bar, especially coleslaw is my best! Definitely one of my go-to spots. I'll be back for sure‼

Very fast , kind service. Both ladies who helped us were absolutely nice and kind. Kimberly I helped us to get a great breakfast and raven the other costumer care was super attentive and kind. People here are very low-key and down to earth make the decision easy for you to grab what type of food you like to enjoy . They serve fresh orange juice . The quality is above average. Highly recommended

The Hi-Lo Cafe is also somewhere I stop when I am passing through Weed. It is a cute little café right when you exit the I5 to the 96. I have passed through here at many different times of the day over the years but most frequently around breakfast/brunch time. This time however we were passing through in the afternoon. We stopped in and we're offered a booth right by the door right when we entered and we're asked if we wanted something cold to drink. The Hostess/server brought our drinks over and gave us some time to decide. They had someone working on one of their drink machines so it was a bit loud at the front but not too bad. I ordered a turkey Club add avocado with a side of fries but was brought a Chicken Avocado Club with fries. Which was excellent so no biggie. My boyfriend got the French Dip which he enjoyed. Their fries were cooked to perfection and we're so delicious. We'll be back on our next pass through weed.

Oh my God avoided this place since the new owners took over but it sure looks like they're getting their act together bonnie the a former waitress which we fell in love with is still working there now they hired her back on and some of the old crews, but the main thing is is the food ended out being spectacular went above my expectations if you've overlooked this place because of the new management no longer stay away from it it is actually pretty good. Still got a little bit of growing to do but definitely worth the time and your budget so check it out let me know.

The "BLAST" was pretty good, but, for the price, I wish it had more avocado. The name of the sandwich is an acronym for bacon, lettuce, avocado, Swiss cheese, and tomato and it came with mayonnaise on toasted white bread for $16.99. Also included was a large side of fries. Everything was good except a bit skimpy on the avocado and one strip of bacon was all fat and under cooked, so it was not edible. All their sandwiches were about the same price. They had a burger that cost over $20! Sorry I forgot to take pictures of the menu! Good enough for a stop near Highway 5 on the way to Yreka!

OMG! Let's talk ambiance. What a little treasure of a 50's diner set in a little mountain community that takes you back in time for a wonderful experience in Weed, CA. Our waitress was the Best which made our whole experience awesome! She was so sweet, kind and attentive. Never had to ask for anything. I only wish we got her name before we left today 11/17/2025. The food was good. They use real fresh ingredients and the coffee was so smooth and delightful. My husband had the roast beef sandwich dip, fries and coffee. I had the cheese burger, probably one of the best I've ever had, fries and coffee.

Go there early and started with cocktails in the adjoining bar that is in a separate area from the dining area (which we were grateful for, as there was a large party loudly celebrating a birthday). Not having a chance to see any dishes coming to other tables (it was actually pretty sparse on diners for a Saturday night), we just ordered what looked good or was unique. Started with the shrimp cocktail - juicy and perfectly spicy sauce. Not unique but a crisp fresh start to our meal. White bean crostini - sounded heavy with the steak topper, but was delectable. The Caesar wedge salad was the pleasant surprise. They GRILLED the romaine. I've never seen this before and it was an excellent way to add extra flavor to the dish. Lastly, the spinach stuffed chicken with mashed potatoes and perfectly crisp veggies. Finish off with a strong coffee and "voila", a nice finish to a very satisfying meal. The staff were attentive and pleasant! Lovely view of part of the course.

We each ordered a beer (they brew their own) and they were outstanding! We each ordered the Reuben sandwich with the German potato salad. Sandwiches were huge and overfilled. Only issue was the corned beef was that it was not cut across the grain which made it very chewy. I told the waitress that it would have been a great sandwich if the corned beef had been cut correctly. She said she would share that with the cook. Loved the atmosphere, food and beer. Highly recommend!

We settled on the brewery thinking it would have a variety of foods to choose from. It is a very modest place with some outdoor and indoor seating. We were greeted by our server who brought us menus and water pretty quickly. The menu was not super extensive. We settled on burgers. My daughter ordered the Wagyu burger and I ordered the special (Smokey burger). Our choices of sides were Mesquite BBQ Kettle Chips and German potatoes (chopped up potatoes mixed in Dijon mustard). We thought it was odd that they didn't ask us how we wanted our burgers cooked. It took longer than we expected to get our food considering it wasn't super busy. When the food did come out, we noticed that the burgers were big and looked pretty tasty!! The German potatoes were pretty flavorless and a little more al dente than my daughter liked. She didn't end up eating them at all. The chips were literally just BBQ chips. The burgers were actually really good. The bun was the highlight - crispy and buttery. The meat seemed to be just a cooked standard frozen patty. My daughter ordered avocado and after she had eaten almost half the burger she realized there wasn't any. No one checked on us the whole time. The final bill was $45 and we didn't even order any drinks.

The inside was gorgeous with very cool murals and a great vibe. The outdoor space (where we chose to sit) was nice also. Comfortable seating with a view of downtown. Lastly, but possibly most importantly, the food was superb. Huge portions fairly priced with superb ingredients. I ordered the blackened chicken Cobb salad, which Anna warned me was a bit spicy and she was right, but mixed with the delicious dressing, blue cheese crumbles, bacon, egg, and avocado, the spice was perfect.
