So you don't make the same mistake I did, you order inside and then you need to hand your ticket to the food truck window. The lady at the checkout counter said nothing about this and while it's written on the window of the truck, I didn't even notice until half an hour had passed. And then it was another hour! So order early and expect a long wait. It's unfortunate they didn't clearly communicate any of this. I heard several others expressing frustration with ordering and not knowing. We've stayed at this RV park, where the restaurant is located, a couple times. On this trip, things in general, didn't seem as good with the RV park and it looks like there are new owners. I won't bore you with all those details, because I do reviews on an RV park website, but the restaurant was a bit of a letdown compared to the past as well. My wife's first option that she ordered they said they couldn't make because they were out of. Then we waited an awfully long time for the food to come out even though there was hardly anybody there yet. My entire family was eventually served their food except me and the server said she would be back with mine. After yet another long time had gone by, we went in to check on mine and they said they never started to make it and the ticket was still hanging there. They were unsure why it was never made and refunded only the item they never provided us, since my family was already long done eating and ready to leave. But I never got served dinner and certainly wasn't going to wait all that time again, since more people had now ordered and were waiting for their food ahead of me. My impression was the lady that took my order did everything she was supposed to and other employees weren't helping as much. I say this, because she was really hustling trying to take orders and make drinks at the bar and I heard her at least once ask other employees to help, who didn't seem as busy. This is actually the third RV park owned by this company that we've been to where the service was not quite as good as we would have liked. It's the second RV park they own, where the park used to be very good and then we noticed a decline after they took over. During a recent Shasta trip, I'd spent the morning on a long and challenging hike. Afterwards, it was time for a late lunch and some relaxing lake time. Lake Sis made it convenient to do both, as it's located on the grounds of the lake's camping/resort area. It was a Monday and a little bit after lunch, so it was pretty quiet. It's order at the counter and seat yourself with a simple menu of salads, burgers and pizzas. We got a veggie pizza which was good, not great but definitely hit the spot being pretty hangry after the day's adventures. They also have a bar and some gift items for sale. It's conveniently attached to the general store (separate business) which sells soft serve ice cream and other sundries. If you're not staying at the resort, there's a $3 per person entry fee to the grounds even if you're just going to the restaurant. I was fine with that, since we also planned on going to the lakeside beach. That was a short drive (or even walk) so it made the entry fee worth it. Staff was nice and the food came out in a reasonable time frame. They also didn't mind we stumbled in, dusty and bedraggled from our hike. Casual vibe and simple, solid menu. read more

When camping, I sometimes just want to be served rather than the hassle of cooking up a meal. Beer on tap is also a great reason to splurge. They have several beers on tap, but I love that Hazy IPA! Food is also great. I had the Volcanic Burger with Fries and BBQ Chicken Salad. This place was just a few steps from my site so I could not refuse. It's convenient without leaving the resort. Wow what a pleasant surprise!! We have been coming here for 20 years, most recently just after Labor Day. One disappointment was the restaurant was closed after the Labor Day weekend, but when we went in today just for a beer they greeted us and asked if we wanted to look at the lunch menu. They said this year they wanted to try something new and was I glad they did. We ordered the burgers and both were delicious!! Oh..... and the beer was good too. Nope. We were a little hesitant at only 3 1/2 stars, but wanted to eat outdoors by the lake. We didn't even get to the restaurant though--they wanted us to pay $12 for 4 of us to simply drive our car into the lot...huh?! Why don't they just validate parking or something, it's ridiculous. Even worse, the gal at the entrance saw our 2 dogs barking in excitement, & said bluntly: "we don't allow pit bulls". Umm...don't get us started. We have a Lab too...do you know LABS bite more people?? It was irrelevant--we told the gal that we were just wanting to eat & were going to leave the dogs in the car with the AC on (we have cute signs so people know they're ok), and she hesitantly agreed, but we were already appalled at the $12 "entrance fee". We did a quick U-turn & got out of there. We returned to Yelp & discovered multiple OTHER 4-star & up rated restaurants in Mt Shasta that have outdoor seating...Sparky's was amazing (see my review)!!! Went there for breakfast. The food was okay but it took 25 minutes to make simple bacon and eggs. And then after that super long wait, I got one measly piece of bacon? And, by the time they finished the rest of the cooking, the eggs were cold. I understand that it is a resort with kids working summer jobs but that was beyond just young inexperienced kids. This place is just about what you'd expect from a campground eatery. Friendly, solidly mediocre food, perhaps more reasonably priced that you might expect. They are currently shut down and just doing takeout, and are running nightly "meal packages." When we were there, the special was a choice of two meats (brisket or pork, coleslaw, corn, cornbread and desert. Everything was about a step up from cafeteria food, luke warm, good enough to eat but maybe not good enough to want to eat again? The price for a dinner for four was only $42, and there was definitely enough food to fill us up (four adults). They also have a nice patio in the back and I think they're letting people eat/drink out there now even with the shut down. Service was friendly and prompt. read more

There is both an indoor and an outdoor seating area. The chairs and tables could use a serious upgrade. I had a beer in the patio - which despite being a summer weekend was empty. The back patio has nice views of the woods and a peek at Mount Shasta. The menu includes salads, pizza, sandwiches. Lots of options. I had the chicken tenders and fries and they are excellent. Fresh and lightly battered. Definitely worth checking out if at the lake. read more

I have been coming to Siskyou for years. I have always enjoyed going to the Lake Sis Grille in the campground as it is in walking distance from the campsites and has decent food. However the service my family received today was terrible. We came in as a group of 8 and were willing to wait and see if we could be seated. There were many tables open and they weren't busy during this time except for a smaller family sitting inside. When we walked to the desk to ASK if they could seat 8, the server was extremely rude. She said they could not accommodate 8 people and that they were too busy when clearly they were not. After someone in our group asked if they could fit 8 outside, another young server told us off and yelled at us to have patience. We used to love coming to the Grille, and have always gone in the past as a larger group so I'm not sure why it was an issue this time? Also we were only asking so there was no reason for the way they were talking to us. Never again. read more

Perfect for what we were looking for on the road, a nice place to sit and look out at the woods (if you sit on the patio). Note that the restaurant is located inside the campsite so you'll need to check in with the gate and let them know you're just eating so you don't get charged as a camp guest. We got veggie pizza and a veggie burger with fries and everything was just right. If we had more time to eat it would be nice to hang out here and have a couple drinks. So we had pizza here last night. It was amazing, and was made quickly. For breakfast, however, the food took almost 90 minutes to be delivered. Stopped here for lunch and was blown away by the food. Keep in mind it's not a 4 star restaurant, it's a lake side/camp ground bar and grill. That said... My wife had a club sandwich which was really good. The bread taste fresh and was toasted perfectly, the bacon was fantastic and the carve their own meats. I had the Angus burger which is hand packed, not frozen. I asked for medium rare, got it more rare but it was still very good. Came back after a few hours on the lake and had cocktail and some snacks. Service all around was great, it's a lake restaurant so it's a bit slower then normal. If you come here expecting fast service (not that it was slow) head back in to town, this is a lake resort atmosphere. I watched them make their bloody mary mix and the woman that put it together shared some with me, I can't wait to come back in the morning and try some. read more

On the long drive from Ashland, Oregon to Sacramento we passed through Mt.Shasta and had to stop for lunch. The fiance, who grew up in Mt. Shasta, was all nostalgic when driving past all his old stomping grounds. I on the other hand have only been through once before and thought the drive was beautiful, a far better view than what I am used to in Sacramento. I used my yelp app to look up places that had an outdoor patio with a view and stumbled across Lake Sis Grille & Brew. It is located on the camping grounds and you have to pay $1 per person to get in, but we were told that if we show our receipt when exiting, we would get our money back. Located just a few feet from the main camp ground entrance is a little restaurant, smack dab in the middle of a small arcade and gift shop. We walked in, were greeted and sat down on the patio where we were surrounded by the trees. It was a perfect day for an outdoor lunch. The menu is a little odd, burgers, pizza, sandwiches, and then some Mexican dishes. The fiance ordered the three taco plate and I ordered the burger. I was told they were out of fries but then the waitress came back and said the cook could "make it work". I guess that meant he found a potato somewhere...? Anyways, they have beer and we split one and enjoyed the view. Our food arrived within ten minutes and I was pleasantly surprised that the burger wasn't frozen and had a really great flavor. However, my fries were really bad, they were limp and greasy, I ended up nibbling on a few and left the rest for the garbage. The fiance's tacos were okay, but nothing special. I don't think we would ever go out of our way to eat here the next time we are passing through, however, I could see this place being really neat to have around if you camp here. Like if you burned your hotdog to a crisp or don't feel like cooking anything up for lunch this place would be perfect. I am not a very experienced camper and could see this place as a nice convenience to have. read more

It was fun to sit outside during the summer in the evening. The server was excellent and managed to keep up with us despite being the only server and have a group of 14 coming in just after us. The fries were super yummy and my wife lived her burger. The pulled pork wasn't bad either although I wasn't a huge fan of the bbq sauce that came with it. Reccomend! read more

This is just what it is advertises to be. A grill/ bar at a camp resort. The food was you basic bar food and was good. The beer is cold as long as they don't run out. (That apparently is a problem in the middle of no where. We got the last two of one beer and the table next to us was told they were out of another) The servers are friendly and the place is outdated but you can't really expect more from a place that is only open a few months out of the year. Heads up they closed last year labor day weekend and we came the weekend after and were not able to eat out like planned. read more

We've been camping here for 30 years. LOVE this campground but the restaurant.... not so much. We had a group of 9 for breakfast. There was one table with customers when we entered. After an hour (they now have 4-5 tables with customers) we got 4 of our meals, all the while watching tables that came after us get served their food. After an hour and 15 minutes 2 more of our meals came out. After and hour and a half one more meal came out. Of course we were asking why it was taking so long during all this time. We were told the cook didn't show up. It was our servers first week of work. They make food for smaller tables first. We didn't have a reservation. After an hour and 40 min we asked to speak to a manager. This got us absolutely nowhere so we got up and walked out, not paying, with 2 in our party hungry, having never receiving their food. BEST FRIES EVER!!! While staying the day/night at the resort, we decided to grab lunch at their on site cafe. Typical American food. My husband, the five kids we had with us, and I all got various items (turkey sandwich, club sandwich, chicken strips) which were all your standard 'ol items...BUT THE FRIES THOUGH. Hands down the best seasoning on fries we have ever had!!! Our server was amazing. She was such a hoot. We sat outside on the patio because the weather was perfect and we couldn't pass it up. Four stars because this place is exceptionally good for being out in this location. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, there are plenty of choices Debbie had. And delicious as well. We enjoyed the egg white goat cheese and avocado omelette, served with house made salsa. What a mouthful. Also had biscuits and gravy, one was enough,and it was delicious. Homemade barbecue sauce, homemade potato salad, homemade beans, homemade gravy. Order extra gravy for your mashed potatoes. It will be worth it.
