We visited the Cottleville Hi-Pointe this evening for dinner. Greeted promptly and politely at the counter. I ordered a single with blue cheese, my husband a double with American. We both got fries. Came out quickly, nice and hot. Love the crispy edge patties. Toppings fresh and good. My only disappointment was the bun. It disintegrates in your hand when taking a bite. This hearty sandwich needs a bun that can support it. Also can't wait until the hard metal chairs are no longer a thing. Is it too much to ask for a little padding on seats? I think some of the negative reviews are from people who have never been to the original location ... must be different clientele here in cottleville than where the original is lol. Very disappointing. Ordered onion rings and received 1 as a topping on the hamburger and the charge was $2.00. For one normal size onion ring. Music definitely caters to the youth, very loud. They have a sign posted that reads "Yes, we are stoned ". I guess that's suppose to be humorous. Burgers are charbroiled and good, but nothing you can't get other places and the charge for 2 burgers and one drink was over $30. Did I mention one onion ring cost $2.00. I'll start with the positive...the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the Frisco melt and I'd come back for the fries and ranch alone. Other than that, it was kind of a letdown that I think all zeros down to management and a lack of training. There was no clear direction of where to go/what to do once you order and there was no one in the front of the house really in charge. The girl taking our order was also not entirely knowledgeable when we asked a question. I get it, first week open but it was simply chaotic...soda types out but not marked, totally out of ice, a girl directed us to line up against the windows but for what? Once we sat down, a girl asked us if she could refill our almost full napkin holder while we were in the middle of eating. We also noticed that the bathrooms were being closed and cleaned while the restaurant was still packed. I totally understand wanting to get closing tasks done early when a restaurant is slow but when it's a busy night and it interferes with the customer's experience, I don't think it's necessary to rush to do it early. Overall, great food but I hope there's more training and someone knowledgeable about the front of the house has a stronger presence on busy nights in the first couple months. read more

Took my granddaughter here, and the food was made promptly even though it was very crowded. You might need a whole bunch of napkins because the food is very flavorful, full of sauce, and the burgers, a little bit greasy. My 13 year old granddaughter gave the strawberry milkshake two thumbs up. The staff was quite accommodating and patient. I came to Hi pointe on a Wednesday night around 8:00.. an hour before they closed and wasn't very impressed. The cashier wasn't super friendly and the food was overpriced. $35 for 2 Burgers and sides with sodas. Not to add $14 for a shake and float. Almost $50 for a simple dinner. Did not enjoy my burger or fries but was impressed with the mac and cheese. The shake and float was okay. The vent thing in the ceiling was also dripping water everywhere. Heard all of the hype and decided to try it. Way overpriced at $38 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 small drinks. You can get a side order like fries, tots, etc for $3.50 or a meal adds a side and small drink for $4.50. I got the meal with a burger, tots, and small drink. My side of tots was small for the price. While they do bring it to the table everything else is self serve and you clean up after yourself. In all honesty I don't get the hype.
