The restaurant is a family friendly little spot in St. Charles I was in the area and was hungry and this looked like a place to try, the menu has pretty much of anything you may have a taste for, I opted for chicken fingers and fries which turned out to be a great choice, my hubby ordered a double smashburger which I tried and it was equally as good as the chicken fingers. The wait staff was very attentive the service was fast we ordered and in little to no time our food was coming out. After enjoying a 5k family run/walk we were in the mood for a nice meal. One of our friends recommended JJ's restaurant in St. Charles, MO. We did make a quick reservation prior to arrival and was seated once we arrived. Our server quickly got our drink order and let us know they serve both breakfast and lunch. Some of our party ordered both as well as some peach mimosas. It was quite busy on a Sunday mid-morning but we weren't in a rush. JJ's has nice decor and plenty of seating for small and large groups. I do recommend calling ahead to ensure your party can be served. All meals were delicious and seasoned to our liking. We did watch some March madness which added to our experience. First time visit and won't be the last. My daughter goes to Lindenwood so we wanted to grab a quick dinner up here before an event and found this gem. My husband and I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger with fries and 10 buffalo wings. Nothing fancy, but really tasty. Wings were crispy, covered in sauce and came out piping hot with some of the best ranch I've ever had. The burger was a smash burger style, bigger than the bun, not dry, and loaded with mushrooms. The fries lacked salt, but were still good- even better dipped in the ranch. Bonus was it is pie night on Wednesdays and we got a free piece of pie to eat here or to go. The only reason for the two stars was because the burger was at least good, but the quality and value is gone. We ordered two cheeseburgers and fries to go. The picture shows the amount of fries received with my order. The manager said the box left before the rest of the fries were finished cooking. That would mean the rest of our food would have gotten cold while new fries were being cooked. I asked for onion on my cheeseburger and you can see the measly little piece of onion. We paid nearly $38 for a single cheeseburger and a triple cheeseburger with fries. The manager, Steven, offered a gift card for our next visit, but not sure we'll go back. read more

I gave them a 2 for their friendly staff and good toast. However, I've had 4 bad meals there, and the only reason I've returned is for some reason my friends like it. My husband is handicapped, and the double doors there are quite a problem for him to negotiate with his assistive devices. You can read a newspaper through the coffee. read more

Semi regular, but something happened in the kitchen. I ordered an omelette, and received a flat scrambled egg patty wit a layer of cheese in the middle, the all the ingredients on top, looked like an egg pizza. I immediately put my money out and server brought check, asked if I wanted a box. I said I don't know what that is so I won't be eating it. She said okay and brought my change. This is basically a family owned restaurant without all the fancy nonsense you'll find in chain restaurants. No pieces of flair required. Known for their hamburgers which I've enjoyed more than once they usually have a burger special that includes a side and a drink. I went on a Friday during lent so they had all you can eat catfish. It was good but it wasn't Hobo's good which has the best catfish I've ever had. It's a reliable place to get good home cooking so it's definitely in my regular rotation of restaurants although I usually go to the one in O'Fallon but this one is nice also. read more

We came on a Wednesday and ordered their special Rib Tips which has a lot of meat but a little too much bbq sauce - would ask for sauce on side next time. First time eating any Toasted Ravioli, which is basically deep fried Ravioli with marinara sauce here - not bad. The last surprise was free slice of pie to take home! Pies were good too. They have gone downhill in the last few months. Omlettes have gotten really small and unappealing. I ordered an ultimate omelette and it was the smallest omelette I've ever gotten. They used to be a good size. It seemed like they are trying to increase profits by skimping on quality. Went back and ordered the Italian omelette. Again, very small and unappealing. It was supposed have onion green pepper cheese and pepperoni. It had all the ingredients, but only had cheese inside. Everything else was on top. That's not an omelette. We have been coming here for a few years and it's really gone downhill. The host asked how many and just grabbed menus and left. Should we follow, stay there, not sure. The food ordered (two build your own omelettes, coffee and hot tea) did not look appealing, and lacked any discernible flavor. My wife and I both felt very ill the rest of the day. My biggest problem was the young girl who was carrying food. I have no problem with staff in blue jeans or leggings, but she was wearing shorts and looked like she just got up. Unprofessional. Some things could use a touch more seasoning but we all have different taste so what I think might need more flavor, someone else might love.
