Delicious personal hotpot. We got the: -beef hot pot: beef slices, vermicelli, cabbage, fish tofu, beef balls, etc. the soup was so delicious and so heart warming. -curry hot pot: super tasty broth! This was our first meal in Florida and it hit the spot after traveling for hours. Would definitely come back Service was very good

Best spot in Miami for Hi-Pot! This is comfort food and it's so good!! The service is quick, the food comes out quick. I've never had to wait to be seated! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is definitely from their first location but great space overall![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located in a perfect area[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came to try this place out on a cold miami night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice mid size spot next to FIU; it has a very calm and cozy vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers did their best with attending everyone . They did seem low on staff for tonight but overall I give it a five star for the delicious broth I just had . I definitely feel satisfied and it was so filling and full of flavor . The hi pot does come with a side of small white rice and I added potato noodles without realizing it but no regrets at all!

At the Hi pot Taiwanese restaurant Stinky Tofu Hot pot it's the most try !!, every table is set with a bubbling hot pot in the middle, where you choose your own hot pot --the stinky tofu one being their signature. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is filled with the rich aroma of herbs and spices, and the décor blends traditional Asian elements with a modern twist.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] People come for the thrill of trying the bold flavors--paired with fresh meats, veggies, and their own customizable dipping sauces. It's a place for bold food and even bolder memories.

After a visit at the Frost Art Museum at FIU we needed lunch. The shopping center on 107th has a variety of places. We decided to give this a try. It was worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is kind of weird, representative of a past tenant, maybe a Greek restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a hot pot restaurant, but diners get an individual "pot" rather than the communal pot in other similar restaurants. Service was good, but a little bit slow as every order seemed to be assembled individually. It was not a long wait, and well worth it. My husband had a beef hot pot; mine was lamb - medium spice; it was a bit above my spice level, but I enjoyed. The dishes are topped with rice noodles that you have to stir in to quickly cook. Lots of meat, tofu, vegetables, and other ingredients. I did not that quail eggs, a favorite, are add-ins; I'll add them next time. Service was just great. The servers took time to talk to everyone and explain their food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is relaxed and easy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll add this to the list of post-museum eateries.

We're glad to be back at Hi Pot Miami! We started with the octopus salad as an appetizer -- fresh and delicious. My wife ordered the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Pot, which came with plenty of meat and fantastic flavor. I had the lamb hot pot, also very good. We substituted the noodles and rice for mushrooms, and the waitress was very accommodating -- no extra charge. The service was excellent overall, and we really appreciated how nice and attentive our server was. We're already planning to bring our friends from Michigan when they visit again, since they've been here before and loved it. Highly recommended!

the portions here are very much worth the price! We got the beef hot pot, lamb hot pot, and Sichuan hot pot. The Sichuan hot pot was more but is a bigger pot than the cheaper options which was nice to note, and the flavors were pretty authentic for Taiwanese hot pot! I'm from Southern California where we have a lot of hot pot stores, I really liked the beef one and if you like spicy the Sichuan one is good! The service is good here and the staff are friendly and will answer any questions you might have about hot pot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is similar to a regular sit down diner but I saw a lot of ppl order takeout as well![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Very good service. All the servers were nice and attentive even though they had a full house. The hot pot is flavorful and full of toppings. Only downside is that some pieces are not chewable (octopuses and beef) Good boba, but a tiny bit too sweet for me.

The sweetest servers ever. She took great care of me and the food was so delicious. They helped me out with the menu and they haven't disappointed me. They even give discounts to FIU students! Def recommend this place!

It's nice to have a legit hotpot place around Miami, a city that's pretty lacking in good Asian food. My wife and I came here late on a Saturday ever driving back from the Keys and had a nice dinner before getting home. Unfortunately, they didn't have any of the stinky tofu left that we wanted to get as an appetizer, but the beef and lamb hot pots we had were filling and tasty. The each came with their own personal pot over a little fire loaded with the right amount of fuel to keep it running through most of the dinner. The portions of meat in each were the most impressive part of the meal, they really do not skimp on the sliced beef or lamb. Each pot was put together nicely with a good assortment of meat, veggies, tofu, noodles, and other fillings like fish cakes or mushrooms etc, and topped up with a tasty meaty broth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is on the smaller side so it has a chill and relaxed vibe, but service was still attentive and pretty prompt.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In a city that does not have a ton of great Asian food, it's nice to have Hi Pot around as a reliable and affordable hot pot joint.

If you want an authentic hot pot in Miami then this is the place. If you want it spicy, then this is the place. This place offers all kinds of hot pots. Whether you like beef, lamb, seafood or vegetarian, you can't go wrong with any of their piping hot concoctions. Each hot pot is prepared to your liking and served tableside. I love their Thai Tom Yum Hot Pot with pork slices and also the Sichuan Spicy Pot which will definitely surprise your mouth with spicy bold flavors. They also offer street food style appetizers like Tokoyaki, Calamari, Baby Octopus Salad and my favorite, the Spicy Stinky Tofu. I highly recommend it if you're brave enough. LOL Love this place. Service is good, the place is small but very comfortable, the food is the real deal, and also plenty of parking. If you're on a budget and want something hearty, come here hungry.

Hi Pot Miami Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Hi Pot Miami

Will it open on Christmas day?

    Yes

Is the hot pot portion for 1 person or 2?

It depends on how much you eat! If you get a couple of appetizers two can easily share one hot pot. On the other hand, if you're into eating like me, one hot pot per person is the way to go!

Are we allowed to share 1 hot pot dish?

Yep! Usually share the spicy sichuan one with my boyfriend and it's the perfect size

Are any of the soups gluten free?

You can ask for substitution on everything and like someone else said take the noodles out. So for example take the noodles out and switch for veggies. As for gluten free noodles I don't think so.

    Do they serve alcohol?

No, but they have delicious boba

    Any vegan options?

Yes we have healthy veggie hot soup.

Rating: 5.0 Been a…read morehuge fan of the Iron Chef show since I was a kid and my favorite has aways been the Japanese Chef Masaharu Morimoto! And since experiencing his Disney Springs restaurant Morimoto Asia, I had been looking forward for him to come to Miami. This was a couple of years back during the cooler season in Miami. RESTAURANT: I just know that this location is going to be beautiful. Chef Morimoto restaurants are worldwide and so I was not disappointed to see how beautiful this restaurant was and how perfectly complemented the vibe of the Wynwood scene. The restaurant doors open to the street, which was perfect during our winter visit. Inside is an open floor plan with a variety of seating options from the izakaya style table, banquet dining against the wall, to the huge bar. There are even covered seating outside that reminded me of New York. Decor is both minimal but with burst of colors with his signature wall art and backlit panels against the wall. And ofcourse, it won't be an authentic Japanese restaurant without the a display of hyper-realistic food models which can be found as soon as you enter the restaurant to entice your taste buds. Everything just looked sleaked and clean and love the pop of green from the huge fig trees. SERVICE: Service was amazing. From the moment we entered, we were greeted and seated right away for our reservation. Our server answered all of our questions and suggested some fruity cocktails. And lo and behold, owner Chef Morimoto himself presented us with our food and torched it right infront of us! He was so polite and humble and wonderful. We watched him moved from one side of the restaurant to the other with the endurance of a guy in his 20s and he's like 60 something! He did not stop. It was such a treat to have him in our table and how he indulged us when we chanted "Iron Chef! Iron Chef!". It was an amazing experience. FOOD: The menu have the right amount of options, from finger food to ramen, sushi and not to mention the drinks. For starters, pork belly and soft shell crab bao and bbq ribs. Deliciousness! The buns warm and pillowy. The pork, so tender. But that soft shell crab...that made me want to slap someone it was so good. Flavorful, no fishiness whatsoever, crunch on the outside and just happiness on the inside. I will eat a million of these. Then my friend ordered some Yakitori fresh from the grill: chicken, pork belly, shrimp, wagyu. They were simple, fresh and so fingerlicking good. Then the ramen; tonkotsu and gyukotsu. On this cold evening, it was exactly what we needed. These two huge bowls we passed around our table of six. The broth were divine! The pork belly was so delicate that it melts in your mouth. The beef falling off the bones were so tender and delicious. Sushi rolls: spider roll and the surf and turf. The spider roll with that soft shell crab was bomb. But the that A5 wagyu surf and turf was the star of the show. It comes out as raw slices on a roll and Chef Morimoto came out and torched it himself next to our table! I don't know if it tasted spectacular because it's wagyu or because the chef himself had torched it but this was my favorite! Overall, this was the most memorable dining experience I've had in a long time. I am sure that fangirling over the Iron Chef was the main reason but it seems that everything just fell into place for us that evening. Parking was literally next door in the garage, super easy no drama. Service was next level, maybe because the boss was there but we were not going to complain. And the food, impeccable! Pricepoint is just reasonable considering the quality, quantity and the location. It is definitely worth the trip coming here and I can't wait to visit again soon to see if everything will be the same without the Chef Morimoto around. I have a feeling it will be just as wonderful.

A month ago I wanted to go again and remembered that there was more than one location. Came to find out one closer to me situated across FIU on 107th ave. All of the sudden the 107 in the name made sense. I asked if that location was the 'OG', and they confirmed it was and hence the seemingly random name. Service was good. There's a mix of regular folks and students (both servers and dining), which ensures pricing remains reasonable in order to cater to student budgets. I found pricing to be the same at both locations. I ordered the same Mama Pork Fried rice with an extra of shrimp, and I have to say, it was just as delicious as the Gables restaurant. I went again just yesterday, and food was just as delicious. I can't bring myself to order any other dish because it's so delicious. Dish flavor, look and texture are consistent too, not just within the same restaurant, but at least across those two locations I've visited, and I've attended twice to both locations ordering the same fried rice - it is always 'identically delicious'. I tried my friend's dishes, and they were all good, and while they wouldn't be my choice, they were all yummy. Their dishes tend to be a bit on the gooey side, but I love that, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I found my new favorite Chinese restaurant. The ambience is basic, but definitely a more elevated look than that of your typical Chinese restaurant. I highly recommend

I'll start with a positive: I actually really liked the anime-themed decor. It's unique, fun, and definitely adds personality to the space. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The customer service wasn't great. It felt inattentive and unwelcoming, which immediately set the tone for the meal. We ordered two servings of crab rangoon, and I was honestly shocked at both the price and the quality. To put it simply it was the worst crab rangoon I've ever had. They tasted like they were deep-fried in old oil, with that heavy, stale aftertaste. They didn't seem fresh at all more like something pulled from a freezer and quickly dropped into the fryer. When I opened them up, there was barely any filling besides cream cheese. I couldn't find any actual crab inside, which was really disappointing, especially considering how much they charged for them. I was genuinely sad about how much money we spent on those two orders, only to be completely let down. I love supporting unique, themed spots and the anime vibe really had potential but unfortunately, the food quality and service just didn't meet expectations. I hope they improve because the concept itself is cute.

Dan Dan noodles had so much flavor, chili beef dumplings were thick and juicy, and the pork and shrimp dumplings were cooked perfectly. However when my fiance asked for a check all we got was one of the handheld devices with the total. I thought it was strange when the server said tipping was optional after the tap, and the options were 1%, 3%, and 5%. Since the food and service were great, I wanted to tip 15%, so I changed it to a custom value and did my own math. However when I got my printed receipt, there was a 20% service fee, plus my custom tip of 15%. Being from LA, when restaurants have the mandatory service fee, they usually tell you at the host stand or after you just sat down. I felt like this place was shady although it is in their fine print on their menu. What the server could have done is said "service fee is already included," after the tap, not "tipping is optional." I did like the service, but the 35% tip was not well deserved. I didn't feel like they went above and beyond and like I said, there's a special type of mannerism that I feel was a huge miss about the service fee, which could of been handled more professionally.
