Always love my dim sum time. It's fast and satisfying. We do miss the pineapple custard buns after all the savory plates. Some of our typical dishes are the charsu pork bao buns, shrimp and pork su mai, shrimp and scallop dumplings, pork ginger dumpling, parsley shrimp, bok choy, orange peel beef, shrimp balls and rolls, & stuffed crab claw ( not always available). If you have a seafood allergy there are dishes for you but we love the seafood dim sum options every time. Go with the intention to try as much as you can except the tripe. That takes a special love for the leather like food.

I've been searching for dim sum place in Miami and I finally found a fantastic place that offers it. I came last week to try it and it was amazing. We tried the shrimp dumpling, scallop and shrimp dumpling, sticky rice, fry shrimp wonton, steam roast pork bun, shrimp and wonton soup and vegetable spring rolls. Everything was delicious. Between the dumplings, I liked the shrimp dumpling better. The sticky rice was good but I don't think I would order it again. My favorite dish was definitely the steam roast pork bun. The service was great. The food was done fairly quickly and the restaurant itself was nice. This may just be my go to place for Chinese food.

This restaurant has serves authentic Chinese cuisine to Miami locals for decades. I finally got to try this place and it was absolutely a great experience. You see cultural decoration and the nice greating smile as soon as you walk in. Serval delicious items to choose from. Great to share with guest.

I was excited to try Tropical Chinese Restaurant as I had read good things prior to our trip. The food was great. Everything was flavorful and well seasoned. Quality ingredients. The portions were a bit smaller than what I'm used to for a Chinese restaurant. The decor was excellent. I don't typically pay much attention to that when going out to eat to be honest but it stood out here. I wasn't a huge fan of the elevator music but it didn't take away from the experience either. The service was below average. One person was semi friendly and after our food was brought to us, nobody checked on us. Not even to bring the check. I had to approach the front end to pay the bill. All in all, the food was great and I would go back.

So glad to see that Tropical Chinese is just as amazing as always. It's been a few years since I've made it down this far south, and they're still serving up some of the best Chinese food in South Florida. The food was simply delicious. We got a bunch of old favorites like the mapo tofu and salt and pepper tofu, along with an assortment of dim sum (from the kitchen instead of the carts, since it was dinner service). We also tried a few new items, including the Singapore noodles and the chicken with fresh vegetables. Both were outstanding. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong here. Every dish is so flavorful and unique, and all elements are cooked perfectly. I wish my photos did a better job of showing how good everything is, but we literally couldn't help digging in immediately before I remembered my camera. Of course, they were busy as usual. You can expect a wait, but it went by pretty quickly in my opinion. Service is pretty no-frills because of how busy they are, but they get food out super fast and there's always someone nearby if you need something.

Went on a weekend at 3 so still had some time to get food from the carts that were going around. We got most things so we can try everything. My favorite were the shrimp dumplings I think. The piggy's with the red bean paste were good but I've had better. Honey chicken was good. Mongolian beef delicious. General sao chicken also yummy. Love the barbecue chicken. Didn't love the fried rice or the meat inside the buns from the carts. Overall it was a fun experience.

This place has been around since 1984. The menu is consistently great. Dim Sum. Traditional Chinese cuisine. Service is extraordinary and caring without being overly attentive. The dining room is exquisite. There's also a bar with two large screens if you want to see sport events.

ONLY Chinese place i eat in Miami. SLAMMIN Dim sum served by an amazing staff. The early brunches they have the cart style dim sum. Everything is hot & fresh! Staff very good people... Cleanliness 100! Parking a breeze and 110% definitely the food is Chinese authentic... We tried the shrimp dumpling, scallop and shrimp dumpling, sticky rice, fry shrimp wonton, steam roast pork bun, chicken honey, hagoa, etc ALL the above!

The food was good. I loved the dumplings and potstickers! Their chili oil is definitely hot in the best way possible. I wasn't a fan of their chicken lo mein but I think that's because I wasn't used to it compared to lo mein I've had before. Next time I'd try it without the added vegetables. Service was nothing special which kinda sucked because I had questions but didn't really get an answer to. If I were to come back, I'd definitely try a different entree and probably order more starter items. The ambiance did have a very homey feel to it, which was nice.

I have been coming to Tropical Chinese since I was a young and since we were all the way down in Miami we had to make a sure to dine here. they were packed but seated us within seconds. we ordered Dumplings and ribs and the peeking duck and all were so delicious. the Duck is served 2 ways and that is my favorite. it was also fun to people watch cause everyone looked like they were just so happy to be there and enjoying life and family. it was definitely a vibe

I hadn't been to Tropical Chinese in years and decided to take my son for a nice lunch. We arrived at noon on a Saturday (he had to be at work by 3 PM), and the restaurant was already filling up quickly. The staff was very courteous, and everything was clean and well maintained. The dim sum was just as good as I remembered--an impressive selection, with carts rolling out as soon as we sat down. The dumplings were delicious, and the BBQ pork buns were a standout. There was also a crab and shrimp dumpling shaped like a crab leg that I absolutely loved. Our favorite, though, was the orange beef--perfectly tender and incredibly flavorful. I definitely won't wait long before coming back, especially with the rest of the family who haven't experienced it yet!

Tuesday lunch. We got there early just about when they opened. We were 1 of 2 customers. Right away the dim sum cart got rolling. Even before our waters arriv ed. We were craving lo mein but it took forever to get one of the many workers (outnumbering customers 2 to 1), to actually come to our table. It actually got funny. We waving our arms to get attention. All we wanted was to get some lo mein and tea. But rolling dim sum carts kept on rolling and those servers clueless. Ugh. So frustrating. 3 stars because the lo mein we finally got was good but very small and the 4 dim sums were ok. Honestly, the service was pretty bad as compared to my last visit. I'm not sure I'll go back.

Our second visit, even better than the first, since we knew what to expect. We only order one dish from the main menu, the fried rice, figuring we would pick a lot of food from the carts. Everything was delicious, even some of the choice were made by the looks There were a lot of servers and they were quick and ready to take good care of you quickly. Although the place was packed and there was a lot of cats traffic, we never felt crowded. They knew exactly how to be there and stay out of the way at the same time. The dim sum service start at opening and lasts until three pm, maybe a bit later on weekends, may sure to check. Very family oriented and casual attire completed the experience. I didn't see small children, may sure to ask if they provide high chairs if it is your case. Prices were pretty reasonable with a lunch for two with plenty of food, a cocktail each and including tip came to $87, great considering the high price of supplies. In a nutshell, go try it and you will have a delightful experience.

Are there any dumplings that are purely vegetarian (no surprise shrimp or meat included on the inside)? I saw the chive cakes, spinach dumplings and juicy veggie buns on the menu but they don't describe the fillings.

I had tried the leek dumplings, and they don't have any meat included, I'm not sure about the chives or spinach ones. However, their tomato dumplings have meat included.

Dim sum is served until 2:00 or 3:00pm, only.

Has anyone tried their duck, if so how is it? Thank guys.

Hi Marelis! It's the best we've had in Miami. Unless you are willing to go up to Boca, this is the real deal. Try it as 1 course, instead of 2. On this version they do the nice crepes with the meat and the crispy skin (instead of serving the meat…

The highlight for me was definitely the wagyu slider--hands down the best slider we've ever had. I'm usually not a big fan of burgers or sliders, but this one completely changed my mind. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The wagyu tataki was also excellent, tender and well-balanced in flavor. The sashimi and seafood were incredibly fresh, which is always a must for us, and Novikov did not disappoint. The dim sum selection was outstanding--each dish was crafted with care and packed with flavor. And the desserts? Easily some of the best we've had compared to other premium buffets--beautifully presented and delicious. What truly elevated the experience was the service. It was attentive, warm, and made us feel genuinely special throughout the brunch. As a lovely birthday surprise, my wife received a hat as a gift and got to choose her favorite--she picked the red one, which made the brunch even more memorable.
