The food was good the service and ambiance was not great when we got there, the lady was on her phone for the first 10 minutes. After we ordered, we waited another 20 minutes. Just for waffles, that the guy she was working with. Didn't even know how to make the food he kept asking questions like, how do I know when it's done? And how many pieces of fruit should I add? So nothing was being made until she was off the phone which meant orders weren't even finished for the people that were there before us. This place has been on my radar for quite a long time, ever since I saw the cute lil donuts pop up on my "Hot & New Businesses" a couple months ago on Yelp. We got 1 1/2 dozen of the Maple Bacon (1 dozen, 2 topping is $5.65 - 1.5 dozen was $8.50) and got to watch the owner, Glory make the donuts. She gave me a few extras that popped into the fryer while she was topping the donuts - so sweet! We tried one hot & fresh and it was super tasty. The inside was fluffy while the outside was a beautiful golden brown, doused in a set glaze. It wasn't overly sweet as one may think glazed donuts AND maple drizzled donuts would be. The bacon bits didn't stick to the drizzle which was my only complaint. The donuts were still really good after about 1.5 hrs of purchasing them too, which was awesome! read more

The crab & lobster roll was mostly spicy crab salad with a few small pieces of lobster on top. It was just OK, but v disappointing. The fries were crisp on the outside and some were undercooked on the inside. My Sunny Hawaii tasted like concentrate. I love sweet, but it was undrinkable. My friends and I were supporting the UH Women's Volleyball team at the Stan Sheriff Center and were walking around prior to the game. We happened to pass this vendor and kept walking to see what other options there were. Well, we walked all the way around the arena and ended up back here. They were serving up birria tacos, Philly cheese steak sandwiches and different flavored lemonades this particular night. I opted for the birria tacos and a mango lemonade. The tacos cheesy and the meat was really flavorful, each bite having the perfect amount of flavor. The consommé was ok, it just tasted like beef broth with little bit of meat drippings but since the tacos had so much flavor they accompanied each other well. I really liked the lemonade, it was just the right amount of sweetness to tart ratio. This is a new favorite spot of mine. I didn't get to try their savory menu but it looks and smells delicious. I ordered several dozen mini doughnuts and they were a hit at my company - we couldn't stop eating them. They were lightly crispy on the outer layer but melted in your mouth once you took a bite. We tried Nutella, strawberry shortcake, bacon and a few others. The prices are also incredible for the location. It's in the center of downtown Honolulu and for $5 you can get a dozen of mini doughnuts - you can't beat that price. If you're in the area M-F go check them out you won't regret it!! read more

Went to the food truck court for the first time and while there were alot of good choices i had to go with the Philly cheesesteak from HI Shack and i was very pleased! Great flavors, bread was delicious, fried crispy and well seasoned and the cheese hit just perfect. Very good price point for the whole menu. Congratulations for opening during a global pandemic when so many other businesses are going under, here's hoping Lil' Orbits makes it. I watched the construction for this li'l café and promptly forgot about it until my coworker walked in with a box of tiny cookies and cream donuts! There's a surprising array of food options, from breakfast and lunch to bubble tea and of course, the namesake, mini donuts. I mean lil' orbits. They have a bunch of lunch bento specials for $5 right now, including spaghetti Bolognese, pork adobo, and chicken adobo on rice. There's also a breakfast special for $5, which I'll have to try sometime. I decided to get a couple boxes of donuts to share, one dozen maple bacon and a split dozen with guava and lilikoi. The donuts were made to order and fried right there! It was $5 for one flavor and $6 for two, for a total of $11. For me, it comes down to texture - tiny donuts have a lot more outer surface area than a regular donut, meaning you get a much higher crisp outside to fluffy inside ratio. Very reminiscent of funnel cakes, and works really well with the sweet drizzle toppings that Lil' Orbits offers. It's far more expensive than a regular donut, but I guess these are more like a fancy confectionary. Maple bacon has never disappointed me, as a sweet, smoky, salty, delectable harmony. Lil' orbits uses real bacon pieces and is not shy with them, making these my standout flavor here. The guava and lilikoi were syrups, which allowed the donuts to shine more. The cookies and cream that I had previously was a creamy drizzle with crushed oreo sprinkled on top. Everything is guilty and delicious. One thing you should know is the daily flavor specials, which I didn't see online: Monday is Berry-licious, Tuesday is Ube, Wednesday is Strawberry Cheesecake, Thursday is Rocky Road, and Friday is Haupia. I'll be making my way back on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at some point for sure. read more

We came here for the lobster and crab roll. We decided on their 3-in-1 platter, which included the lobster and crab roll, 2 birria tacos, and a philly cheesesteak with fries. We shared everything 3 ways to try some each, and it was enough food for all of us. The roll had maybe a 3 or 4 ounce lobster tail, so do not expect a huge piece. FWIW, I was following the progress of the driver on my app, and he appeared to be delayed for several minutes off the expected route, almost as if he had made an unscheduled stop. Might that have had anything to do with the dryness I wondered... The Lechon kawali was just so so both times - not crunchy enough according to our resident expert. Needed something for the office for our Admin's birthday. I like to try to get different things and it's good exposure to the entire office. Ordered a dozen each of the ube, powdered and cookies n cream. Everything is made fresh, but as soon as they get flipped out of the oil, it was put in the box. So everything was still very oily and then steaming in their boxes as I walked back to my office. Powdered mixed with the oil and steam in a bag just turned into clumpy sugar. Donuts are cute and easy to eat for people who don't care too much for sweets or have a blood test in a few days. But those little guys held on to their oil. Fresh was oily and not fresh was not good. The other food looked good, so will go back for that. But will just stick to buying donuts from the donut experts. read more

OMG! first time I heard of this place, yelped it and saw good reviews so I decided to try it for myself. I'm at work so I ordered thru door dash. I got the dozen mini donuts with two toppings, maple bacon and strawberry cheesecake. So yummy. I mean I read a review saying it resembles the taste of a funnel cake ( I think) but I didn't get that. Its probably because the donuts sat in the container for a little bit because it was getting delivered. None the less it was still so onolicious. It pretty much melted in my mouth, not the toppings just the donut. The taste wasn't overpowering too and I especially loved that. I would definitely tell everybody go try for themselves. I'm a simple man, I see Squid Ink Pasta, I order it. So when I was looking through the food trucks up at Mililani Tech Park and saw it on the menu, I knew what I had to do. I was given a choice of Mild, Spicy, and No Spice, and went with spicy. It came with a side of garlic bread, and everything about it was absolutely delicious. The shellfish were great, not overcooked (which is honestly a delight, seems like everywhere overcooks shrimps and such into rubbery blandness). The spice wasn't there just to be obnoxious, but instead it complemented the dish and really brought out the flavors. Some places like to make spiciness into a competition, but Lil' Orbits knows what they're doing. The balance of flavors and textures was top notch, I literally can't complain.
