I've bought plants here that quickly died despite appropriate care, and the store wouldn't replace them. Sometimes what is available in store already looks half dead. They are also very picky about what you can use store credit for on the few items that are covered under their guarantees. I have a really hard time finding what I need due to the compact layout and lack of much signage. Employees are usually friendly and helpful but it can be hard to find one who is available. Even though it's a much longer drive, I usually go to Bachmann's instead to spend less and enjoy an easier experience plus worry-free guarantees.

They have shopping carts (I didn't notice baskets), but the space is so tight, I didn't bother using one. As for parking, it's just street parking but I was able to find a spot on the parkway. I have bought a lot of plants here and have got even more advice from the incredibly helpful staff. They answer all my incredibly dumb, repetitive questions. They help me find the specific type of whatever plant I am looking for. We scored a pretty healthy garden croton in a beautiful concrete pot for $44! We were expecting it to be close to $100. The staff was super helpful and friendly as well. They had an employee who makes terrariums and when she heard we had a fiddle leaf fig at home, she gave us a ton of good advice about caring for it. The terrariums they had for sale were great too, they had the cutest bamboo plant with little panda figurines in it that would make such a nice gift. The only thing to keep in mind is that we've had a ton of little gnats in our apartment since we brought the new plant in, so be prepared for some gnat-control. This time I was invited by a friend who told me they were having a holiday night market on 12/11 from 4pm-9pm. I was immediately yes! I arrived and immediately fell in love with the cozy Christmas and winter set up. It was like walking into a mini Christmas village. There were plenty of local vendors selling everything from art crafts, to bread and food sample kits. Santa Claus along with his pet was there ready for photo ops. This is an annual event at Tangletown Gardens, but I definitely recommend it next year if there have the holiday market. Good holiday gifts to get for loved ones.
