I was in Waukesha around dinner time recently had had a hankering for Chinese/Asian food. I knew Hibachi Boy was a place that had recently opened and I hadn't tried them yet, so I placed an order to go. I got the Big Boy Platter (three each of crab rangoon, pork potstickers, and spring rolls) and the orange chicken with half rice, half noodles. The apps all tasted like they were from a frozen bag instead of being freshly made. The cream cheese inside the crab rangoon was runny and the mixture inside the spring rolls was mushy. The potstickers were probably the best of the three, but more because the other two were disappointing than anything excellent about the potstickers. The orange chicken was ok. I don't think it had enough breading on it, so it wasn't crunchy, and the chicken itself was on the dry side. I appreciated the onion and carrot that was mixed in with the chicken though. Neither the rice or noodles had anything mixed in with them like peas or carrots with the rice or onions for the noodles. They were certainly edible, but not exciting and I wouldn't recommend paying extra for the noodles based on this. read more

Tiny place, but excellent sushi and also really good Boba tea. Definitely a place I'd recommend more for takeout than dining in.

First visit and I really try to always find something to like. In this case it was difficult. Ordered the combo with spicy basil and upon opening container saw I had two pieces of shrimp. The beef was way over cooked and chewy and the chicken lifeless. The limited vegetables were decent but there was barely a hint of basil. For over $24 I had expectations of a dish that could feed both my wife and myself but even if the portion would have been larger we couldn't have finished it anyway. Well, the sushi here looked very unusual to me. As many times I've had sushi I've never seen it look this way. )See picture) I'd almost say it's looks fake, but the taste was just ok, not a whole lot of flavor. I ordered California Rolls and Shrimp Tempura rolls and other than finding a very small firm crunchy piece of shrimp I had a hard time telling the difference between the two. I did order delivery through a service while staying in a hotel for business and although I requested utensils there weren't any in the bad. So in this case being the rolls were so compact was helpful in eating with my fingers and stirring in the wasabi with the soy sauce. If for some reason I returned here and want sushi I wouldn't order from here again. Just fair sushi. read more

Had to give an updated review because I'm bummed how much it's changed. Although I would still consider the food to be good, it has done what a lot of fast food places have started doing. Higher prices, less food. The bam bam chicken no longer has broccoli with it and the "fried rice" has no veggies, seems like it's just rice tossed in some kind of oil. I will say the quality of chicken is better but it doesn't make up for the lack of veggies. Whole dish just looked brown, no color what so ever. My beloved ragoons are now over $5 for 4 of the smallest ones ever and the sauce they give you is not good, I didn't even use it which is crazy because I used to ask for extra. So so sad, I used to want to eat here every time I was in waukesha but with the prices and changes it's no longer as great and affordable as it once was. read more

The owner started at 19 years old I'm guessing I believe this place just opened. Since Covid is amongst us they do wear mask. I'm glad we made trip here , my bf and I were in the area decided to stop it's a small lil pot but it's carry out or u can dine in when u want hibachi or sushi Togo this is the spot steak was cooked right which ours was medium we got the Ny strip and added shrimp or u can do chicken . This also came with fried rice or u can get white rice and of course noodles all I can say is I will make a trip to place again for our hibachi needs read more

Everyone was raving about this place so I thought we should give him some business during Covid. I pre-ordered, yet waited for 30 minutes for our food. Meanwhile it was uneventful with "tough" steak and frankly Scooby snack entrees. Very flavorless..... I will stick with Le Gong in Waukesha next time we have the craving for an Asian meal. read more

I always drive pass this place to my bank. I decided to give it a try. It's a small corner restaurant. It's so cute. I ordered a PadThai for and New York strips with spicy basil. I waited for 15 minutes for my food. I'm in no rush so I don't mind waiting. If you're hungry and in a rush, I recommend you order 10-15 minutes ahead of time because you will be waiting for some hot cook food. I like the atmosphere here. Nobody was really in when I came in but people come pick up their orders. Everyone wears mask and gloves. The price is fair and affordable. When I took my food home my car smelled so good. I came home to open and took a bite each. This is so delicious I always have bad luck finding good pad Thai. It's usually too sweet and gooey, too dry, too sour, or too plain. I have to said the pad Thai is pretty good and hit the spot. Just need some pepper to spice it up. The New York strips with spicy basil was so good. The chunky bits of steak was delicious and cook to perfection. My fiancé will love when he come home. It's not spicy to me but I know some people can handle so much spice. Good food for a Monday night! Not a long wait compared to a weekend. I had the cashew chicken and my lady had the garlic chicken. The cashew chicken was better and I loved it. This place had great noodles, veggies, and the chicken was yummy. The star of the show was the crab ragoons. I don't know what they do to there's, but they are awesome. The only "complaint" is the fried rice was alittle salty for me and my lady. Overall, I'd come back! Love this place and not to far from home and work. read more

I don't know if I'm crazy because all of my friends have been raving about this place, but the sesame chicken didn't even taste like real chicken bites. Very chewy and rubbery. Teriyacki beef and chicken was awful. Hard and very tough beef and dry chicken. Hardly any sauce and dish was very unpleasant. They would not refund or fix the issue. Told them we wont be back and manager said ok! No way to run a business thats for sure! read more

I traveled 15 miles to try this place, based on the segment shown on local news and on the menu previewed online. I felt this 19 year old owner needed my support. When my partner and I arrived at the tiny restaurant/carry-out place, I was salivating. My hopes were quickly dashed when the counter girl informed me that there would be no sushi available that night. Sushi covers half the menu. They advertise as a Japanese restaurant. They have the word sushi in neon when you enter the door. It reminded me of a recent visit to Dunkin' Donuts where I was informed that they were out of donuts. No wonder that franchise is in deep trouble but I digress. Missing one or two menu items is ok, missing half of them is unacceptable. I pivoted to the Volcano Fried Rice and ordered shrimp with it. While the rice was tasty, the amount of shrimp in it was skimpy (no more than five small ones.) My other order was a side of potstickers which were ok, not exceptional. If this young man wishes to stay in business, he had better not be be advertising for numerous items he lacks (for whatever resson.) In addition, invest in better tables. They were unsightly but thankfully clean. Step up the game! read more
