We sat in the main restaurant part and our waitress came over right away. She was very helpful In picking items off the menu: their menu is huge !!! The food was actually mid hibachi and that never happens. The clear soup was actually disgusting tasted like fish broth instead of bone broth. It was super loud and unkept inside the restaurant. It was super out dated, the bathroom looked cleaner than the table we ate at. There was missing wood around the entire bench. $1.50 up charge for a squeeze of Sriracha sauce. The fried rice was decent. The food was drenched in sweet sauce too barely tasted like the actual food. The service was mid, she was just kind of mean and acted like we were supposed to know everything about the restaurant when we're not even from here. Date of visit: November 20, 2024 I hadn't had hibachi in easily a decade, but then found myself having it twice in a month's time; first with Benihana downtown and then here at Ninja Japanese Steakhouse in Menomonee Falls. In all honesty, I had never heard of Ninja and had to look up where it was, my visits to the Falls mostly consisting of Costco as of late! The location near the freeway makes it easy to get in and out of, which was a nice plus. The place was steady but not super busy on this Wednesday evening, but I think that helped us out a bit as we were able to sit and enjoy our meal, but also ensured that the timing of the food was a little faster than it can be with hibachi given the limited grill capacity, especially with what I experienced at Benihana. Another plus for Ninja was the price, this was a more affordable meal than Benihana, but not by that much, surprisingly. Charging two dollars for the rice is disappointing, though I certainly could have just stuck with the noodles as those were surprisingly tasty. Service was good and the chef did some fun tricks for the table, including flinging food into mouths (which I passed on). The flair was not at the level of Benihana but was still appreciated. If you have a hankering for hibachi, Ninja will get you there for a bit less and a potentially more convenient location (with free parking) than Benihana downtown will. read more

It was Sunday. I tried to go to two different restaurants before landing here (one was closed, the other was curbside only). I was hangry. And, honestly, since it was my third choice for the evening, my expectations were low. I was beyond pleasantly surprised. Ninja has some of the best sushi in the Milwaukee area. Their fish is so fresh you'll wonder how it's even possible with our proximity to the ocean. Like straight-out-the-water-fresh. One side of the restaurant is hibachi. Since we were looking for sushi, we sat on the opposite side. The atmosphere is clean and casual. It's not the sort of place you frequent for the ambiance. But, for the sushi, sashimi, and nigiri? Yes, yes, and yes. Since this was our first time here, we ordered their love boat for two, figuring it would give us a nice sampling, which it did. It comes with a salad, which was basically iceberg lettuce dressed with a lovely ginger dressing (simple but tasty). It also comes with a bowl of miso soup (just ok). As for the love boat itself, our least favorite thing on the board was the spicy tuna roll (definitely not like it was bad or anything) and our favorite was literally everything else on the board. They have a full bar and specialty cocktail menu, though we didn't partake this time. The service was incredibly prompt and friendly. The prices were about what you expect to pay at similar spots in the area (which is to say high, but not unreasonably so). Get to it! read more

If you're looking for this while driving, as I was, the large signage on the building says HIBACHI SUSHI! 5-Stars, all the way for my sushi and sashimi lunch with great service. This place is great! The sister restaurant of the West Bend location. This place has Hibachi or regular dine in. While I am sure the dine in is fine, your crazy not to do the Hibachi. Keeping this short. My husband, friend and I went to try it out because everyone raves about how good Ninja Sushi was. We were completely in disbelief. The price was ridiculous and the fish was not fresh. Every bite was super fishy and discolored as if it had been sitting out for a day or two. My husband and I shared the sushi for two and our friend got the sashimi dinner. The miso soup was bland and watered down. The salad dressing was more mayo than ginger. Nothing was authentic and I actually got sick half way into dinner because my body just could not handle the fish anymore. I don't like leaving bad reviews. But I'm surprised no one has gotten such from here yet. I love sushi and everything about sushi. All I can say, $100+ later and it was not worth it. Very disappointed. However, the service was good. Went here for a family celebration. The people here were so nice! They were accommodating, friendly, and worked with us on a question we had on the bill. More importantly, the food and presentation/show! So fun! Food was awesome. So so good. Way too much. We all had take home boxes because it was so much food. But it was really good. All of us were saying how good it was. And the fun presentation of Hibachi.... that was awesome. I brought someone that was 80 years old and has never been to something like that, so what a cool experience to show someone 80 who has 'seen it all' to something like this. I am giving this a 3 only because of the Good Service. Our waiter (Rob) was great. The Nori on the sushi and rolls was TOUGH... you could not cut it with a fork.. and chewing was impossible. The salmon in the sushi looked worse than the Gas Station variety. Tempura Seafood... the breading tasted weird.. almost chemically and left an odd aftertaste. As much as I hate driving so far for food, this place might be my new favorite sushi joint. I was introduced to this restaurant by Brian M. and Joanna T., and I've visited with them and others twice. Both times, the presentation has been beautiful and the food has been more flavorful than sushi joints in Milwaukee I've been to. On the most recent visit, there were 8 of us, and they put us in a cozy, private dining room, where we had to take our shoes off before entering, which was cool. We were provided menus and given a few minutes to order. The service was excellent! Not sure if it is always that way, or just when dining there with Brian and Joanna, the restaurant's regulars and VIP's. I had a Samurai cocktail and sake to drink. Both were great. We ordered some apps: fried chicken appetizer, spicy tuna (served sashimi style), and Crab Rangoon. All of the apps were delicious, but the Spicy Tuna was my favorite. We all ordered sushi rolls, but 4 of us went in on the "Ninja Supreme for 4," which includes 16 pieces of sushi (rice) and 24 pieces of sashimi (no rice) on a sushi boat. It also includes a Ninja Roll, Crunchy Spicy Tuna tempura Roll, Rainbow Roll, and a Hot Lover Roll, all served on a separate platter. I was getting the Hot Lover Roll regardless, but I'm glad it was included. Anyway, everything tasted fresh and delicious. The Hot Lover Roll and Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll were my favorite from this course. The place was busy on a Friday evening at 6pm, so I recommend making a reservation. I hope to find sushi as good as this closer to me, but I won't complain to much if I have to drive all the way to Menomonee Falls (ugh) again to eat here. read more

My cousin suggested to come here. We came for their sushi lunch special. So reasonable for the price. 2 rolls for $8.95 or 3 rolls for $11.95. Comes with soup, but we decided to swap for a salad instead and they were accommodating for that which was nice. They had good options for their sushi lunch special to choose from. The food came out quick and they blocked off sections and put up glass to protect you while you're dining in. Kind of had a weird smell when you dine in and enter the building, but the food was good. We've lived all over the country in a lot of big and small cities and this has to be a top contender. Tried this sushi spot for the first time Friday evening. We had excellent and friendly service in the sushi bar area of the restaurant. We heard lots of cheering from the hibachi area so we will be back to try! We had the spider roll, spicy tuna roll, California roll (I know, I know) and the green river roll. I would say if you're going to stop in opt for the hibachi...came last winter for a work lunch-we all look forward to these since it's time out of the office and we felt somewhat rushed even though there was nobody else in the restaurant..? Anyhow, it was delicious hibachi with all the great add ons(steak, lobster, etc) More recently, I stopped in on Friday night for dinner-no hibachi; just standard dining room. I don't really like how all the windows are covered, felt weird and we didn't get too comfortable. Food was average, not worth the price in my opinion. My boyfriend ordered the weirdest looking chicken teriyaki I've ever seen, my dad had chicken fried rice, and I ordered some basic sushi rolls...all pretty average. I'm thinking we just ordered boring stuff, but there menu is pretty extensive. I wasn't blown away, but service was still good and the place seemed clean enough. We made a reservation and someone went to the car at the time of check-in and we were threaten with cancelling our table even though there are tons of empty tables here. One minute and we were threaten. Like who does that. If it were not for a pre-planned birthday celebration, I would have walked my a** out. We had a group of 8 and sat at the hibachi table. Really fun to watch the cooking show and the talented chef. My issue was that I ordered tenderloin and some of the others ordered sirloin steak. When it was cooked he mixed all the meat together so I didn't get the tenderloin that I ordered. I got a mixture of both steaks. I have a jaw issue that makes it very hard to chew so most of the meat I was given I wasn't able to chew. Plus I paid for the higher priced/quality steak that I didn't get. read more

This is our fourth time here for Hibachi, twice for lunch and twice for dinner. The lunch option is about 5 dollars cheaper but you will not receive the dinner salad. This is a good spot for lunch and a quick show, but do not forget to tip the chef, they work to give you a good show. Prior to the show you will receive soup to tide you over if the chef is running a little behind, but be prepared to receive a lot of food. As a drink and appetizer, a friend of mine and I ordered their best sake and the Philadelphia roll....again a really good choice as a starter. There sushi is made fresh and you can sit at their sushi bar, which looked to be about 15+ foot long with two stations. For this visit I went with the beef fillet for hibachi, in the past I selected the sirloin, chicken and scallops, the fillet is where it is at, especially at the lunch price...get it!
