30-50% off select rolls on mondays and tuesdays is a STEAL! Everything is soo fresh - we love the sushi here. Also tried the lobster pizza this time and it was amazing. They had a ramen on special too which made my boyfriend extremely happy Always a clean restaurant, food is always made quickly. This is one of our go to spots.

Have eaten at Fujiyama twice. Enjoyed the food both times. Really liked the Crab Ragoons and the sushi was very good. Hibachi was pretty average and the service seemed a bit unorganized each time we visited. One time they missed one of our rolls and during our next visit we had a tough time finding our waitress to get refills of beverages and napkins. Overall I liked the food and the lapses in service were minor. Would recommend.

Went on a Sunday for a lunch with my boy. Nice place. Got some miso soup, pineapple juice, philly roll, crazy jaguar roll and a yellowtail roll. All very tasty, service was awesome very friendly. Very much enjoyed all around will definitely be back

This was the new restaurant of the week and I was wanting some raw fish. The place is nice and I don't know if it's a modern theme decor with all the dark colors of black, dark grey and dark woods. They have a nice little bar next to the sushi kitchen. Service started good with quick seating, water and the menus. But as the meal progressed my server parked me on ignore and never came back until I waved her down for the check. I have a hand injury from a couple years ago so using chop sticks is next to impossible because the main finger doesn't work correctly so I needed a fork and after 5 minutes with my food sitting on the table I just got up and grabbed one myself. I would have the bbq calamari, spicy crab meat roll and the dynamite roll with yellow fin tuna. The presentation of the bbq calamari was spectacular because it was sliced and left whole whole with a sweet soy sauce thick glaze, how it's bbq I don't know. The rolls were average but the crab meat was the better one. The lack of attention by my server was a shame and they weren't very busy but she still got a 35% tip which was very generous for my experience.

(D)Hibachi Filet Mignon(9oz) and the hibachi shrimp. Also the Green Katana Cocktail.

Amazing experience! The crab rangoons were amazing and some of the best I've ever tried! We ordered the steak hibachi and shrimp hibachi and everything was great, wasn't the biggest fan of the rice but still everything was great and would go back! Also ordered the green katana cocktail and it was one of the best crafted cocktails I've had, id recommend trying one of their cocktails for sure!

Used to love this place but haven't had a chance to go since covid. I was a little disappointed. Having had been pretty much favorite sushi place in town, I brought a friend, hoping to show off great sushi in the greater Milwaukee area. Unfortunately she was under wowed, as was I. Hibachi steak - the lunch special hibachi was good and with good portions. But for a hibachi, I was hoping for a little less sweet - it felt a bit more like teriyaki than hibachi. Combination box - teriyaki shrimp was ok. 7 shrimp pieces atop a bed of what looked like canned or frozen vegetable medley. Gyoza prices looked more steamed than pan fried; they really need to be browned more. Spicy California rolls were great! I miss their old bento box, though, with tempura shrimp and better rolls. Soup - what used to be a miso soup, traditional and good, turned into an unidentifiable clear soup with green onions and mushroom. house salad - what I remember used to be delicious with hints of ginger became a very typical janapese house salad. Sooo... a bit disppointed.

Unfortunately the food was extremely bland. The steak and salmon had no seasoning it was just cooked in oil with a bland teriyaki sauce on top. The vegetables reminded us of just a steamed bag of veggies served under. Maybe we just had a bad experience but the manager was very insistent that people love the teriyaki and was shocked we didn't. It was a bit aggressive so we do not plan to return.

Tonight we celibate our daughter's 14th birthday, a ritual we have been doing for the past 10 years since moving to Brookfield. We have tried the other two sushi restaurants in the area, but this is by far the absolute best. Can't say anything but "we love it"

    Danica V.

Fujiyama is a great go-to sushi spot that my friends and I particularly enjoy. The pricing isn't bad at all, and the sushi is huge! I particularly like their sashimi dinners as well! Also on birthdays they turn on the cute disco lights and bring out icecream!

Didn't eat in but decided to order online and pick up my food. This Brookfield location has an easy way to order online using my iPhone. After placing the order I received 2 emails and a text message that the order was received, including an estimate time the order would be ready. I waited for another text or email to notify that my order was ready, which I didn't get, so a few minutes after the estimate time the order was ready I walked in and picked up my order. The spicy tuna included a salad and medium miso soup. Both soup and salad were good, not any different than at other sushi restaurants. The sushi has a large amount of wasabi and ginger. The sushi is alright, not bad, but not great. By ordering online I was charged and extra $0.99. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. It takes about 30 minutes for an order to be ready.

Food 5/5. Service 1/5. I really wanted to like this place,…read morebut the poor service ruined the experience. The exterior is a nice building. I like the wraparound porch it has. When we walked in, we got seated without a wait. However, after we sat down, no server came to us. So, we waited and wrote down our orders on the pink sheet they give you to put in your orders. We kept waiting and still no one came to us. This was a red flag and made us change our mind to do à la carte instead of AYCE. If this is how long it takes for a server to even come and acknowledge us, we knew we would be waiting around for food and definitely not get our money's worth of food. A server finally came to our table to take our order and asked what we wanted to drink. I think her name was Sabrina because that's what it said on our receipt later on. We asked her for two waters. She left with the pink sheet. This is where there the service got worse. We sat around and waited for our waters. We waited and waited while we saw other tables who sat down after us get their beverages right after they ordered. We were patient and kept waiting, but it took a while and there was no sign of our server. I then had to flag down another server to tell them that we ordered a while ago and never got our waters. Finally, our server came with the waters. A minute later our appetizer of baked mussels came out. So the whole time we were waiting for our food to come out, we had no drinks. Luckily, the mussels were pretty tasty. After we finished our apps, we waited yet another long time for our rolls to come out. We saw our sever standing with her back against the wall, just laughing and chatting with another server. There was zero sense of urgency. Our rolls finally came out after this on one plate, instead of two, so I had to ask for extra plates. The rolls tasted fine. We got the California rolls and the two-in-one roll, which was spicy salmon topped with spicy tuna. Both tasted solid, pretty hard to mess up. We ran into another issue. Our server never once checked in on us nor did she refill our waters. My husband's cup was nearly empty when she brought it out the rolls, so she should've realized that he would need a refill. After we finished our food, once again we were waiting a long time for our server to get our bill. We finally saw her and tried to flag her down, but she didn't notice us. Finally, she came and got us the bill after yet another long wait. Overall, the food is delightful. The service was not. This horrendously slow and unprofessional service justifies why you should not do all-you-can-eat here. Our server continuously ignored us. Had we done AYCE, we wouldn't be able to put in other orders because our server could not be found. I would only order takeout here. The poor service really ruins the experience.

We purchased 2 custom bowls and then 2 of the new Hawaiin dishes - Salmon and chicken. The poke bowl is the worst poke I have had. First, the portion or rice is too much. The rice was soggy and warm like they microwaved it right before putting it in the bowl, which made the fish taste worse. There was not enough meat overall. The sauce was subpar with very little depth and flavor. The fish was not fresh. The overall presentation of the new Hawaiian bowls were messy. There was no teriyaki sauce coated on the salmon. The macaroni salad was spicy not good for young kids. 2/10 for the macaroni salad. I would not recommend this place based on this experience. Wasted over $60+ on 4 bowls and salvaged only the meat and veggies to eat. Had to make fresh rice at home to go with it. Wasted our time and $$$. Or maybe they have recently changed from dumpling house to Yamato sushi house. I'm not sure which. Their sign out front says dumpling house and their menu still says Yamato sushi house. And just because I don't quite feel full with having just dumplings for dinner, we also ordered their fried rice noodles. The pictures really don't do justice for this amazing dish. They don't have fried rice on their menu, but this noodle dish tasted just like fried rice And smelled like it too. Hubby and I were really pleasantly surprised. We added a chicken to the dish, but if coming back, I will stay with just a noodles without adding protein. Our server who was Chinese, spoke very fast, and I had a hard time understanding everything he was trying to explain. But he was very eager, very nice, and very excited about us trying different foods. As it was Chinese New Year's week when we went in, he told us to try their special New Year's soup and that he was really really good. In fact, he was saying this to everyone who came in. The soup was about $13, but not big like a bowl of pho. It came in the medium size bowl, clear broth, with a bunch of mini dumplings inside. It's really not something that I would normally order, especially after ordering two orders of dumplings, but I must say the taste was pretty good. Would I have it again? I hope they figure out their identity and stick to one thing. So far, I am happy with their dumplings and their fried rice noodle.

Good experience for dining. There drinks are amazing, I love their House special fish ball.read more
