On some occasions, when I know I want asian, but don't really know what I want specifically, I find a decently rated Asian buffet and get myself full with some of the higher quality items. In my whole time there, the tray with the flounder remained unreplenished, and the clams(?) just a pool of sauce. Everything available was cobbled together with the lowest amount of effort, with probably the cheapest quality ingredients available wholesale. I normally go into an Asian buffet expecting middle class quality but yea.... I felt like what I ate was more like kibble quality. I ate their buffet on a Sunday. Although it was busy, the wait was not long and it was worth it. Plenty of food options, including Sushi and Shrimp. I really liked their Wonton Soup and the Pork, though not the Wrap. I did not taste much strawberry in their ice cream. I would go back to Hibachi! My expectations for Asian buffets in the Charlotte area are low based on experience in NC in general, so when I tried this place for lunch, I was pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't say it's the best Asian food ever, but there are some good things about it. It's great if you have kids - there is a cool koi pond at the front, and there is a great variety of food options to select from. The food options are not terribly greasy, though they seem to bunch the most greasy options together. They have broccoli beef, broccoli chicken, fried rice, chow mein, mussels, clams, pizza, mac and cheese, mashed potato, fried fish, and more. They have a hibachi section, which I did not try, and a small sushi section. The wontons in their wonton soup is meh. There are plenty of ice cream flavors to choose from. The customer service could have been better. The host who guided us to our seats seemed like she had an attitude when I asked her not to be seated in a certain area of the restaurant because there was a separate room with partied going on and she tried to seat us there. I expressed to be seated somewhere else and she seemed to have taken offense to me asking. As she was showing us to our seats she was walking through the restaurant so fast mind you guys, it was our first time there. Waiters walked by us several times before asking if we needed anything. It wasn't a good impression of the restaurant. We will not be returning. People shouldn't work in customer service industries thats face to face services if you're not a people person. This is all based off of my observation of the overall experience. We wanted to try something different outside of the buffet spot we normally go to and thought this would be a good experience but unfortunately it wasn't. The restaurant wasn't as big on the inside with the aisle being too narrow to walk in between without getting too close to the tables or having to stop midway to allow others to walk past. When your used to a certain level of customer service from other places, you can instantly spot the differences in the service levels. Not to sound mean which isn't my intent at all, but for those who go here on a regular and you enjoy the food dont stop if your pleased with the service. Continue to support them however, as for me and my family we didnt have a good experience and the first impression of the service was not a good one. I have always given credit where credit is due and this isnt to say that everyone there had poor customer service because that wasn't the case at all. I'm only referring to those who were servicing us. I actually had a very nice waiter who wasn't assigned to our table to come over and see about us because he noticed no one had been to our tables to ask if we needed anything. The food was ok. Our experience may not be someone else's. When we went it was very busy so it could have just been due to the crowd but at any rate when you're in a customer service industry its always best to put your best foot forward. Went around lunchtime ($12/person) a lot more food than other buffets around here. Very delicious options & although I did not try the hibachi grill, it did look good. The sushi was pre rolled/cut, wish it was a little more fresh- they didn't have many options to choose from. Service was excellent, waitresses were on top of taking the dirty plates & refilling our drinks, even took our payment up to the front so we didn't have to. Loved the lighting above the buffet. I also enjoyed the indoor pond they had as you entered, watching the fish were nice Only giving 4 stars because on a google photo, someone had posted crab legs, there were no crab legs. First off, service was INCREDIBLY RUDE. We walked in, they acted like we weren't there for about 2 mins straight while having a conversation in front of us. The host then talked to the people right BEHIND us, and the other one walked away with an attitude and then hurriedly shows us to our table. She went to get silverware and straws and THREW THEM ON THE TABLE & WALKED AWAY WITH AN ATTITUDE!!! We then got up to get our food. Food was okay... as expected for a buffet. Fried chicken was the best thing there. The stir-fry area was dirty and there were customers coughing over raw meat and flies everywhere. Overall, if you're looking for mid-quality food for a decent price, you can get it here served with flies and attitude. Would not really recommend. read more

They had plenty of food, the steam tables had a large variety, they kept the items well stocked, the restaurant is clean and my waitress kept my drink refilled. Sushi options were as good as any that you can expect at a Chinese buffet. Not great, but good. A strong effort. The hibachi grill had lots of options and was never slow. The price was right, there is plenty of parking, and my phone worked very well while I ate. The key part of any buffet is to remember to never use your hands to any food if you've touched the tongs. They offer a variety of foods. Salad and fruit bar. Some of you typical lo mein, rice, veggies, and chicken. There is seafood and a bar where you can create your own seafood boil and a couple fish options. My favorite was the hibachi station in the back. I'm from upstate NY & we have a wonderful buffet there. But, I was blown away by this buffet! I'm used to 8 food tables, one dessert table & a frozen yogurt machine. This place had more than twice that, including 3 dessert tables and an ice cream cooler with buckets of real ice cream inside. All the food I tried was very good & from the crowd, many agreed. I was there for two & a half hours trying a little of everything and never felt rushed to leave. I also had a young man named Teone as my waiter. It seemed he knew everyone but it turned out, he was just that friendly. If I'm lucky enough to live nearby, this will be one of my favorite treats. read more

Ay yi yi, guys. Where do I even start? This place was absolutely nothing special. It was, to me, a place with a bunch of random food and a hibachi grill. Nothing extraordinary, nothing that made me smile or feel pleased. First off, the fruit was dry and not really that fresh. The pineapple tasted like it was from a can, and like it had been sitting out for a few hours. I didn't really consider that a big deal because it was just fruit so then I moved on to some other dishes. I had the sushi from the sushi section and there were only about eight types of sushi. Tbh, they didn't really look that appetizing and that's coming from me- I absolutely love sushi. They tasted a little too basic for me and there weren't any real differences between the different types so I just gave up on eating them. The only thing that redeemed my food experience was the hibachi, which I added crab meat, noodles, and broccoli to. It's okay for a first-timer but there is absolutely nothing special about this place. At $10.59, you would probably get a better deal getting food you'll actually enjoy. read more

There is something for everyone here from tasty salads and vegetarian, sushi, and standard Chinese and Japanese dishes as well as pizza and American cuisine plus a large selection of oriental pastries as well as ice cream. The food is quite delicious and freshly refilled by friendly staff. The restaurant appeared clean. Prices quite resonable and a reduced price for children. I asked for a cup of coffee instead of tea and surprised it was good and that they actually served coffee. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food.
