I wanted to believe in this place so bad ! I ordered shrimp hibachi. Drove clear across town and although it looked delicious it was a let down. My carrots & zucchini we mushy and overcooked & my hibachi had some weird brown sauce on it that ruined my whole meal. I will say they give I a lot of food for a great price. If I could give this a negative rating I would. I ordered the #2, chicken and shrimp teriyaki, it tasted like rubber. My chicken was grey in some spots and was just all around nasty. The rice was decent and was the only part I liked about my dinner. I spent about $19 on food and the only reason I didn't ask for my money back was because I didn't want to cause a scene. I'm slightly confused as to why they had as many customers as they did, the food was just gross compared to all of the other Japanese restaurants I have tried. The chicken teriyaki is amazing. I've also had the shrimp tempura rolls and a chicken teriyaki roll, also very good. The drinks are nothing special standard Pepsi fountain and a few cans. The decor and location are not impressive. Also when you do take out they don't put utensils in the bags for you, I know it's a small thing but it kind of speaks to their level of customer service. The food is good, but the amount seems inconsistent so far, at least with ordering to go. The first time I ordered, I received a large to-go box filled with food. I wasn't sure if the food came with shrimp sauce, so I ordered one just to be sure. I only got the one I ordered, which didn't end up to be enough for all the food. The next time I ordered, I ordered two shrimp sauces. Instead of a large to-go box, i got a small one, and ended up with three shrimp sauces, only having use for one. We take our food to go but the dining area always seems clean to sit and eat if we wanted. The chicken combo with white rice and carrots is very good. I suggest requesting extra sauce. We did try some sushi and it was made fresh and was good as well. The staff has always been friendly... In person and on the phone as I have placed orders ahead of time so they are ready to pick up.
