Calling to let someone know that the order couldn't be completed two minutes before pick up time when there was 45 minutes to prepare only to find out at the restaurant that the order was actually completed reaks of incompetence. 2. Providing utensils for carry out should be a given. No? 3. When two platters of sashimi is ordered, dont you think soy sauce and wasabi should be in the carry out? Shouldn't that be standard? I called in to place a large order for an office. When I called to ask who distributed their fish for their restaurant, I was quickly dismissed and the response was "Well, who's this? " I found it highly unprofessional and when I called to inform the manager instead of writing a bad review on how I was spoken to , the owner simply just stated " we sometimes have distributors call" No apology on the abrasive answer, and basically stood up for how rudely I was spoken to. It's safe to say that if these is how they speak to guests and especially if this is how they respond , I will no linger be going to this establishment. Learn to speak to people kindly . From the outside you may not think they would have amazing sushi, well I am here to tell you it is great!! They have several different rolls you can choose from and they have specials during the week you can look out for. Thursday's are the half off specialty rolls which is a great perk!! They do offer lunch specials that offer a ton of food also! I have ordered to go several times and they will make sure to package your food with care!! I have ordered from here several times and have even ate inside twice. They have seating close by the area the employees that roll the sushi and there is seating on the opposite side as well. They also have some limited outdoor seating as well. I took a star off because sometimes the owners kid is there and is back behind the counter doing things I would think shouldn't be allowed in an establishment. Also during the cold months if you sit on the side furthest from where you order, the have blowing heaters, so if you are cold natured it may be chilly in that section as the heater doesn't blow in all directions. Went to Johnny's Sushi House and honestly wish we hadn't. The service is basically non-existent, you're expected to order everything through your phone, which might be fine if the staff were even slightly present or helpful, but they weren't. The place itself feels run down, like no one really cares about the atmosphere or upkeep. The worst part? My son got food poisoning from the sushi. It was pretty clear the food wasn't handled properly. Not something you want when you go out for sushi. Definitely won't be going back. Second time for takeout. The name and outside of this restaurant is misleading so it is easy to dismiss it. We tried it based on another local friend's recommendation. The inside isn't much so I find it better to order takeout. There are a ton of sushi roll choices it can be overwhelming. They offer two without rice for those who are doing low carb or keto. I have found all the rolls nice and fresh. The sashimi sampler is definitely well portioned for one person to have as an entree. I would not recommend the teriyaki chicken though. Great food option around this area. We went to Great Wolf and needed to venture out to see other food options. This restaurant is not opened on Mondays. We cane here on a Tuesday during lunch and it was pretty empty. The restaurant had indoor and outdoor seating which were great options! We were seated immediately but the staff was not as attentive. There is plenty of parking. They also have a lunch special menu with reasonable prices. The kids menu also had great options. I got the 4 rolls: salmon, eel and tempura. This place was a beacon of light in a sea of pizza parlors. We came in with a party of 8 bracing for the wait list impact. 30 min... ok understandable we are coming in with a big party. But by some change in fate we were able to get seated in under 5 min. Once we sat we ordered our food and again by some miracle the food came out with the quickness. You have to understand something - we had 4 kids in our group so to be seated quickly and our food come out in the blink of an eye- I mean it almost brought a tear to my eye. Upon entry, I thought it was a small place with limited seating. Once we turned the corner, there was so much more seating than I anticipated. The staff members were really friendly as well! We ordered crab rangoons, a salmon roll, and a spicy tuna roll. Typically, this would not fill me but the portions were huge. The crab rangoons were filled and definitely hit the spot after working out since they were sweet, salty, creamy, and crispy. I have been ordering salmon at every sushi restaurant to see if I like salmon sushi because everyone is always raving about it, but it was never really for me. After ordering it from Johnny's, I discovered that I do like salmon sushi but only if it's fresh. Not only that, but these were some of the largest salmon pieces I've ever seen. The spicy tuna roll was made well and I enjoyed it very much because the taste and texture of the roll was perfect. These too, were larger than what I typically see! We love this hidden gem in Perryville MD, right on Route 40. Their food is consistently good and authentically Japanese. Even the decor is very authentic. The sushi is ridiculously fresh and always delicious. They have a huge menu. Tonight I got the Yum Yum sushi and it was out of this world. My husband got the Johnny's spicy chicken bowl and he loved it. We started with the shrimp tempura appetizer. They aren't the cheapest place in town but trust me, the food is well worth it. Free parking. It gets very busy there on the weekends. Also they close between 3 and 4 PM for their staff to take a lunch break. I communicated that it didn't have any spicy at all added to it. When we dined in the rice was a little red from the oil and crushed peppers. This had no crushed peppers or hot oil added. In the middle of me calmly explaining, he screamed that he was busy and our conversation was "ruining Christmas Eve for everyone!!". Then told me to bring it in so he can refund it. I did absolutely that. He normally has a bad attitude when we dine in but I dismissed it bc our interaction was mainly with the girls at the counter. But this interaction was extremely disrespectful. He acted like a complete donkey even after I told him that my intention was not to get him upset and to calm down especially because I was talking calmly. I think my calm soft tone gave him the impression I could be ran over. I immediately returned my order to the restaurant, showed him my rice, received an apology from the sweet girl at the counter who acknowledged it had no added "spicy" and again I was spoken to disrespectfully from the owner.
