I go to Hibachi Express with my parents about every to weeks or so. The quality of the food is okay. I usually get the lunch special or the sushi. My only concerns is that the sushi is low quality compared to Ikaho Sushi in Groveland and the portion size of the lunch special seems to get smaller and smaller every time me and my parents eat there. After a while everything on the menu starts to taste the same. There is nothing memorable about Hibachi Express just another fast food joint, if you want something fast that is not from a regular fast food burger joint. read more

I really like this place. I've eaten in the restaraunt and also ordered to-go. Their hibachi is very good, and everyone I know who has eaten there agrees. I believe it's even better than a much better-known local hibachi restaurant (who shall not be named). The place is clean, the people are friendly, and the service is fast. The only reason I did not give 5 stars, is the sashimi. Granted, I only tried their sashimi plate once, but it was bad. Really, really bad. And I absolutely love sashimi! Everything smelled off, and the taste was no better. I'd like to give their sashimi another chance, but I don't think my stomach could handle it a second time. Be aware of spoiled tuna in their spicy tuna roll. We unfortunately experienced this on Feb 25, 2023. Ordered take-out, 2 Chicken & Shrimp hibachi dinners and one Sushi (Spicy Tuna Roll). The chicken in the hibachi was tough (tasted old) and the spicy tuna roll was grainy, made my husband sick to his stomach, which then made my son and I lose our appetite. I did call and spoke to owner approximately 25 minutes after picking up the food from the restaurant and spoke to manager. He didn't seem one bit concerned nor sounded compassionate, offered no apology and basically said he'd refund the tuna roll, which as of today, March 4 has not been done. Save your gut/stomach some anxiety and think twice before ordering food there. If i could post NO stars I would. read more

I have been a faithful customer for sometime primarily ordering the steak or chicken meal with extra yum yum sauce. Both have been favorites, but for the last few months my orders have diminished in quality. Steak has been tough and chicken so dry it was inedible. The Steak on both meals was over cooked and tough. Very poor quality meat. The Shrimp was rubbery and a bit tough as well. Chicken was fine. Vegetables were tough and rubbery as well. Second time I ordered online and special requested to have no zucchini and extra carrots. They did not honor that request. So didn't expect to find this place in a strip mall but it is super yummy and worth it. The Hibachi menu has lots of choices for everyone and they actually have quite a large selection of sushi as well. I can't imagine anyone not finding something on that menu that they would like. This was my first time eating here. I ordered a steak hibachi. The lady taking orders asked if I wanted a lunch or an entree. I asked what the sizes were. "The entree is bigger" They always are. I asked to see the sizes, no help there. So I ordered the lunch size, and a soup, to go. If I had eaten there, I would have asked for a refund as soon as I opened the container. The steak and vegetables were burnt. Not overcooked. Burnt do you could see that is was burnt. Burnt to the point that all I tasted was burnt food.
