I had not been to a Chinese buffet in many years but just read a news clip stating this as one of top 5 buffets in the state. So, checked it out. Place was packed. Not sure if it was because father's day or like this every Sunday. But with this crowd the food was plentiful and replenished often. Wait staff was very good. There was a huge variety. Surprised at amont of seafood offerings. Sushi was good. Raw oysters were small but excellent. Most dishes were tasty. At end of day it's a buffet though but as far as buffets not bad. Meal was $18 plus pay for drinks. It is a BYOB. So a cheap meal and definitely get your money's worth. I would go back again. Can see doing it cpl times a year. The food was pretty good, but some of the food is old and salty. Remember its a Chinese buffet. The servers are another story. They are rude and do not do their job. They demand a tip as they hover over people like hawks over their prey. The main server has dark hair and I think her name is Susan. The Spanish grill cook is nasty and dirty. I saw him in the bathroom doing #2 and he did not wash his hands. He scratches his private parts in public. Some of the sushi had a nasty smell and was slimy. Had a horrible experience here with my son on Saturday. The 4 servers located in our area laughed and pointed at him within our 10 minute stay there. He is 12 years old and is on the spectrum (Autism). They pointed and laughed at him which was even called out by the table behind us. When we voiced our complaint against the manager they told me to calm down and relax. The servers came over to the MA ager and said we made up our story because we didn't have money to pay for our bill (which was ridiculous). I went to Hibachi Grill and Buffet under the impression that we'd have the opportunity to sit at a hibachi table like at A-1 or Ichiban, but in actuality, you have to choose your RAW ingredients from a buffet and stand in a line in front of a single hibachi cook who would then make your food in front of you (and they have a tip jar for you to shell out more money). I passed on the line and tried some of the regular Chinese food at the buffet instead. Once you've had GOOD Chinese food (Eastern Palace in Bethlehem or JJ Wongs on Freemansburg Ave), it's really difficult to go back to a buffet. The quality of food is considerably poorer and although there's a huge selection, the food just isn't that good. It's about on par with a passable takeout or delivery place, but nothing more. It's a good place if you like buffets and have picky children who want the option to have some American food instead of Chinese food (and they even have desserts and multiple flavors of ice cream), but it's just plain not a place I'd recommend. read more

There are a number of Asian buffets in the area but this one is undoubtedly the best of the lot. Sample a little all of the dishes and find your favorite. Food is always fresh, they do a good job of keeping the place clean considering how sloppy the customers at these places can be. In the back of the restaurant you can get freshly made Hibachi items are prepared to order at no additional charge. One thing that bothers me is how glutenous some people can be at these buffets. I watched Some fat slob in a NY Giants jersey empty the entire tray of raw oysters on to his plate. He had to have at least 40 oysters . What a selfish pig! He went back two more times and did the same thing!!! It is not fair to the owners or the other diners to go to a $9 Buffet and eat $40 worth of Oysters . I drop by this buffet when I am in the area which is usually a few times a year. My niece and I decided to check out the newly renovated space last weekend. The outside lighted sign is the first thing you notice. It is almost screaming Come In! For those of you who remember the old place, you will see the entrance has been moved. This is great because you get to view the full buffet and updated space when you walk in. The beautiful colors and lighting on the ceiling gives the place a nice relaxing glow. The giant colored windows in the plain areas gives it the extra pop without being gaudy. The tables are still the same but they now have huge tables that can seat 8 -10 people. There are so many seating areas you never feel like someone is on top of you while you're enjoying your meal. The service is still excellent. The wait staff ensures your table is kept clean and take used plates very quickly. They understand you came eat yet they are still attentive to your needs such as refilling your drinks. I really like how you don't feel like they want you out when you have finished eating. I found the staff working the buffet floor to be super helpful and friendly. I always enjoyed the various selections of seafood, sushi, vegetables, fruit and meat. Like most buffets there is something for everyone. The prices are exactly in the right range for this small town. If you want to bring dinner home for someone, they even have take-out service. There are no restrictions on what you can choose if you use this option. What makes this place different is the convenient location. It is literally in the heart of a major shopping center for this area. There is a Walmart, Target, Kohls and many other chain stores nearby. No need to drive for miles just to satisfy your cravings. My family and I have been going here pretty regularly. Tonight we got there pretty close to closing and we witnessed them cleaning the floor with water from the fish tank. He literally took a giant bucket and splashed the fish tank water all over the floor while there was still food out. Not only does the Fishtank have dirty fish water, it also has turtles and turtles are known carriers of salmonella poisoning. I give it three stars simply because the food quality at buffets blow. This is a great local stop for bulk eating. I have family in the area and stopped by for a first time visit. You cant beat the fried section, noodles, and rice section. So most of my plates square footage consisted of lo mien, Singapore rice noodles, fried rice, fried shrimp, egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken, and these lovely fried cheese sticks(I ate about 4). There was a wide range of foods to choose from including seafood, American, sushi, and hibachi. Chinese was the specialty. Love the fried dumplings as well. Service was good. Fast to sit down which is always most important at a buffet. Definitely better than a gold corral type place. It was interesting, they played the "happy birthday" song in an Asian accent over the loud speaker. It came on twice. Funny the first time, irritating the second. The decor was very dated. But sort of what you expect out of restaurant like this. It kind of brings you back to the late 1980's when Daniel son was being taught life lessons of marshal arts. Which is kind of fun to think of. What can I say. My parents love this place and we wind up coming here every time they're here visiting. So all in all, we've been here.... A lot. And we've been pretty happy with our experiences each time. It's always been pretty packed every time we've been, but service has always been good. Staff are always super accommodating with my parents sometimes ridiculous demands and how long they like to stay and chat. There's always a good selection of all kinds of food. I'm a sucker for the sushi and hibachi so I go to town on those and they're always pretty good. This place has got pretty much everything you could possibly want from an asian buffet. A+. For the several Chinese Buffets in the area I would have to say this is average for the amount of people who go here. I been here twice, the both times I been here the wait was 15 minutes to be seated because of the long line. They offer a lot of food (more then most buffets in the area), however, the food was only average. I been to many other Chinese buffets that had better food, although the ice cream is very delicious. Do not eat here! This was disgusting, the food was gross. The steak was not chewable, all the buffet food was nasty, there were giant fruit flies all over the fruit at the buffet bar. The service was awful and rude, the were vacumming and I was standing still and they elbowed me and never said anything to me. they cleaned the bathroom floors and they were slippery but no water was present on the floor, i saw the water they were using it was darker than dark, my guess is they used it in the kitchen and it was greasy and then they spread it all over the bathroom floors. I normally always ate at the Hibatchi over by the Easton Walmart Super center. But this time, on September 25, 2016 I decided to try the Hibatchi across the street from the Bethlehem Walmart. To be honest, I actually like this location better. Maybe its just me, but it seems like there is more variety here, of course with entrees, but especially desserts. Also, it is literally a 2 minute drive from my house, so that is a major plus! So me, the food seems to taste better in general here. With very few exception. Whenever I try out a buffet, I will usually take a small sample of as many choices as possible. On this day, I sampled the following: Mushrooms and chicken Meat Pie Peanut chicken Premium steak Grilled chicken Pepper chicken Mixed roll Several sushi rolls Cheese rangoons Stuffed oister shells Pizza Of the entrees, most were delicious. The peanut chicken being my favorite, of course. The only ones I really didn't like so much, were Meat Pie (it had a strange taste, almost like the fat or oil used to make the pastry had gone rancid, or something). And the premium steak--while tasty, it was a little tough. But everything else I thought was very good. Their stuffed oister shells are great, they have 2 kinds (the other Hibatchi only has one kind). I get those whenever I go there. They have very good sushi here too, plenty of variety. So fat I haven't tasted one that I don't like. I even like their spicy ones. The pizza? Well actually... I don't like the pizza at this location. The Easton one has good pizza, but this Bethlehem one, I found the cheese under-cooked and the sauce was very dry. I really didn't like the flavor. I actually didn't finish the slice. I would say they need to add a bit more sauce and cook the cheese more, or use a different cheese? Maybe I just got a bad one. Desserts: Cookies Ice cream Cheesecake Chocolate cake Chocolate and vanilla cake Donut hole For the desserts, this goes for both hibatchis--I have never been a fan of their cakes, or their cream puffs (very dry cream or frosting is bland and waxy tasting, not very sweet at all). But the other deserts I think are pretty good, actually. I like their square cut cheesecake (the other Hibatchi doesn't have it). Cookies, ice cream, donut holes-- all good. I usually stick to the stuff I like for dessert. The sweet, rich stuff, lol. Overall, I would certainly recommend this place. Its good for families, kids, etc. Don't go for desserts though, until you're about ready to leave. Disclaimer: I am Chinese. It is what it is. This place offers cheap eat-in buffet meals and inexpensive quick takeout by the pound. It's all very "Americanized" Chinese and Japanese food. Personally, I thought the sushi was average but the all you can eat is a nice value. Although you're not really supposed to be shoving in sushi like that. The hibachi wasn't bad either. They have a window where they cook it in front of you and you pick out your own mix of meat and vegetables. The problem was that everything else was really not worth it and you could probably do better by ordering actual takeout from a good Chinese takeaway place. Apparently they do have more expansive raw bar and sashimi offerings on weekend nights. That might be worth the trip. I would still go if I had to feed a huge crowd a lunch or something like that. One of the largest around and the it was not all that expensive. They run coupons like in ValPak and the newspaper from time to time. I enjoyed the real hard scoop yourself ice cream. I have been to many Hibachi Buffets / Grills in the area and this is definitely the best. The Chinese food in the buffet is amazing and fresh. The best part is the Hibachi chef. He is very good at his job and the food he cooks is absolutely delicious. The waitresses are very attentive and clear plates / refill drinks in an extremely timely manner. The lunch buffet is the best deal it is around $8.50 and the amount of food one can eat far exceeds $8.50 especially if you're into seafood and sushi.
