We had a great meal here. Firstly, we were pleasantly surprised by the prices, which is super reasonable. (See pic) There is plenty of prepared food to choose from and a surprisingly large assortment of shrimp. The best thing to me, however, is the hibachi grill. You can pick and choose what you want and they grill it for you. Piping hot, fresh, and delicious, albeit quite salty. I had a plate of prepared food and 2 plates of hibachi. The second one I asked for just a little sauce and it was still quite salty. Still, worth it, and quite delicious. This has to be one of the best Chinese buffets in Atlanta. The selection was very good. All of the food you would expect on a buffet like this. Everything looked fresh and hot. The staff quickly filled empty pans. What I was surprised to see was so much seafood. Blue crab, crawfish, broiled fish along with fried, and several different kinds of shrimp. There was a section where you could select raw items and the chef would cook it for you. It looked good, but I did not try it. I remember going to a Hibachi buffet in Greenville, South Carolina a few years back with my uncle and aunt on more than one occasion. The first time was a hit. The second time I got sick. Of course, this will always be a risk you run when eating at a buffet style restaurant (or any restaurant for that matter). In any case, I was happy to see the same chain not far from where my fiance and I have been staying in Norcross. As soon as you enter, you just get a good, chill vibe from the place. There's plenty of space and lots of tables, so you don't feel crowded. It's a pretty calm atmosphere for a week night dinner. We took way too much of course, and we always feel bad when we waste any, but that's how it goes at buffets sometimes. Everything was great overall. The only things I probably wouldn't get again were the cheese rangoon - a bit chewy and dry, the tempura breaded sushi - the batter being a little soggy, and the deviled eggs which were actually just eggs cut in half with paprika (I didn't taste any mayo). We look forward to coming back soon as this is just a great bang for your buck with lots of fresh, flavorful food, plus good service and atmosphere. read more

The selection of food is more than one can eat. The food is topped up very frequently thereby you know the turnover is quick. The restaurant is well patronized. I came here for lunch and everything was good until the end of my visit, I went to pay my tab and the waitress was looking over my shoulder to look at the receipt as I was putting a tip. As I finished she was looking at me and saying why I left her a 2$ tip when it was just me and kept almost yelling at me over the tip. I found it very unprofessional. This restaurant is not clean. The floors look like they haven't been cleaned in over a year, with stains all over it. The restrooms are horrible, with toilet paper and water all over the floor. The food also tasted a little bit bland, but the hibachi tasted a little bit better. For dessert, the cookies were too dry, sweet and powdery, while the chocolate cakes were also too dry. I don't have the mental prowess to ponder such deep existential questions. As a recovering glutton, I have a profound love/hate relationship with buffets. The chance to eat until I hurt some reason still appeals to me. I wanted to eat at a good buffet, and opportunity arose. One day, I was in Norcross and knew of a mission that I had to undertake. Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet lives up to its name. The buffet is absolutely massive and certainly supreme. Additionally, it does indeed have a hibachi grill. I arrived at 1:00 PM during a weekday for lunch, and I was mildly worried that the place would be dead and the food disgusting by that point. To my surprise, the restaurant was still absolutely packed. The food selection is incredible, with many traditional Chinese buffet favorites, and many options that aren't widely available. In addition to your standard stir fried chicken, they offer more uncommon fare such as roast beef, stuffed clams, and fried oysters. I absolutely love fried oysters and don't think I've seen them at any other Chinese buffet. Dining at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet doesn't take you to flavor town, but the food was certainly good. My drink never sat empty for too long, so I didn't have any issues with the service. I was absolutely shocked when I got my bill and saw that it was only $9.63. Did they forget to charge me for a drink? At $9.63 for a weekday lunch buffet, with drink included, a meal at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet is an absolute steal. Even if $9.63 is supposed to be the price without a drink, the value is downright unbeatable. If you're in the area, stop by this restaurant for a terrific meal. read more

I have always wondered why this place was so busy. I've been to this plaza many times and noticed the large influx of people on weekends and lack of parking spaces in the lot. Is it THAT good? I can now confirm that the answer is no. No it is not. The standard for buffets in general is sub-par, you can't expect much going into most buffets. But these guys really hit below the mark. I've had better in small towns within Arkansas and Missouri. Unfortunately, my experience is very different from the Yelp and Google reviews I read prior to coming here. So let me break it down. This buffet is not massive. It is not supreme. It does not live up to its name. And it is not very good. There is not a wide variety of food items for selection. Based on other reviews I was expecting a massive spread but this is not the case. At all. This is actually one of the lowest varieties I have ever seen at a Chinese buffet. The only thing supreme and massive about this buffet is the interior. Plenty of seating. That's it. The building itself is outdated and there are areas that have an unpleasant smell. Nothing is fresh in quality but that was to be expected. Still, a lot of food items definitely looked like they had been sitting out longer than they should be. A lot of food items were not refilled properly and even when they were refilled, the quality was still sub-par compared to what I've had elsewhere. The food itself tasted better than it looked, but overall everything was OK to less than mediocre. Nothing was good, per se. Items were labelled improperly at the buffet. I saw labels for "beef" when it was very clearly "shrimp", or labels for "grilled chicken" when it was definitely "pasta". Like, what?? How?? Why?? So many obvious mistakes for labeling which was inconvenient. Also the plates were dirty. My brother picked up a plate that had specks of food on it and my other brother picked up a plate with rice on it. He also picked up a spoon with stains on it. We are not high maintenance people. In fact we're horribly oblivious when it comes to these things, so for us to notice is pretty...bad. I had cleaner dishes and silverware at hole-in-the-wall places in Pakistan. I'm dead serious. That's bad. That's a whole new level of low. Even the fried wonton strips for the soup bar were stale. That's pretty hard to mess up. Servers and staff were nice enough but majority of them were standing nearby observing people at the buffet. It would have been nice if they kept up with refills. We didn't get a refill on water until the very end of the meal when I asked for the check. I just don't see why this place is so popular, I've found other buffets in the area that have the same exact price for dinner ($12). Not only that but they offer the same food (they too offer crab, salt & pepper shrimp, clams/mussels, and crawfish), yet they also have better food selection and better food quality. So why does this one stand out? I just don't get it. I don't. And we came at a good time for dinner so wrong timing was not to blame. Only reason I give it two stars is because while I've had better, it's also not horrible. Either way I'm not coming back. read more

This is a pretty good supreme buffet. They have a regular buffet and a hibachi section, and that's where this 4 star rating comes from. When you make up your plate for the hibachi.... My mom normally goes to this restaurant on Sunday after church to pile up on the different types of protein they have to take back home and eat with whatever food we already have there. Their take out policy is affordable and you can choose a good amount food. They charge by the pound and although I don't remember how much they charge, my mom never complained about the price and continued to visit the restaurant. She allowed me to fill a container with food while she filled the other container. I would get the kabobs, shrimp, fish, and other protein they had to offer. Hopefully one day we'll decide to eat in and so we can experience the actual buffet and try their hibachi but it would have to be on a different day than Sunday because they were always busy when we went in there around noon. read more

After many years since first trying Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet, my family and I keep coming back. Why? It is the cheapest and most tastiest Asian buffet there is. Even my family from Winder would drive that far to eat. I even have seen family from Conyers and Winder come. That's why I think I should upgrade from my latest review in 2011 to a 5. Since then, the price has gone up to $10 on weekends but trust me when I say lother buffet places still cost more and isn't as tasty. I love the flavors of the food here. It's pretty consistent. The waitresses are much better than before and are attentive. Since I don't care too much about seafood. I'm okay with coming here. I don't care for crab legs like many Asians do. Well, they do have the blue crabs but not snow crabs. Hubby loves the fried shrimp and crawfish here. Seafood items I do eat are the baked salmon and sometimes the fried shrimp but I be loving their chicken and green beans! Now, it is extremely packed!! Especially on weekends! This is the restaurant that is in the old Golden Coral location on Riverside in Lawrenceville. The renovation is very nice and clean. The food is the typical style of hibachi and sushi fare. All of the food is really very good but go hungry as you will fill up fast!. No deserts yet but the soft serve ice-cream was very good and not too sweet. The fish is all GREAT and I could have just had that. There are lots of wings and other meats. The veggies are also very good.
