The waiters checked in on us often, which was nice especially as I wanted water refills often. It was a bit quiet when I went to the ambiance was pretty chill. I got my usual at buffets which included lo mein, black pepper chicken, egg drop soup, and more. The lo mein tasted okay, but more dry than other places. Plus, they use thin noodles here. I really liked the black pepper chicken! Super flavorful and paired well with rice. I also got the fried shrimp and put some sweet and sour sauce over it which was tasty. The sushi was below average and the garlic bread was a bit stale and did not have the strong garlic taste that I wanted. I liked my egg drop soup as it was hot and fresh. The crab rangoon was solid but definitely needed to be a bit crispier. My friend also really liked the crawfish, which I did not try. The Chinese donuts were a bit stale, but still had a good taste overall. Unfortunately, this buffet is missing the small fried chicken bits that you would drizzle the sweet and sour sauce over. They have a large sushi bar, a hibachi grill, they used to have a noodle place but it was not open today, and a little dim sum. While they do have some pretty decent options, some of them are very spicy or overly seasoned or even cold. But what irked me the most, was our waitress. 1. She reached over my food to grab something instead of asking me for it. 2. She kept rushing us and brought us the check shortly after we had been seated -exactly 10 minutes after! Then the last thing that made me really perturbed was her standing and watching to ensure that she got a tip. That was rude! Like ma'am, you are not entitled to a tip, whether or not I choose to give one, and I always do, is my decision. But to stand so close to the table watching me like a hawk to make sure you're tipped is absurd. I know America has a huge tipping culture and it's now become the expectation, but come on! To stand there and watch me to ensure that I tip you, that's beyond crazy! I don't want to sound rude. I am saying, you could at least wait until the customers leave to check for your tip, not stand there watching to make them feel self conscious and such. Note to the owner-Perhaps train your employees on proper protocols and how to be more effecient servers. Also, another note, you are never to assume that your customers cannot understand what you're saying and it is rather rude to talk badly about customers and curse them out. You never know who might know what your saying , as one server used an extreme profane Mandarin word that literally translates to "F-You". I want even say it here but I know Mandarin and Cantonese. It's been a few years since I been here and I decided to give them a try once again. I came on a Thursday night and there was no crowd. Parking is plenty outside. We were seated down right away. I got to say the front hosts and waitresses were super friendly.(All smiles!) This Chinese buffet had a huge variety. It had sushi, seafood, made to cook hibachi, salad bar, and etc. My favorites here were: Crawfish(big and fresh), Cajun broil (corn, potatoes, shrimp, and mussels)(just amazing taste!!), hot and sour soup(had great spicy flavor), mini crabs(very big and fresh and tasty, cold mussel(I really enjoyed this and dipped it in spicy Mayo). The Hibachi(steak, shrimp, crab meat, mushrooms, and onions) was not bad as I next time I will get a different sauce flavor. The sushi was okay, not the best but I didn't eat but one. The desert bar was not bar with the pineapples, cantaloupes, honey dew, and cakes. The cheap ice cream were left to be desired. I think an ice cream machine like golden coral would be nice since they had an awesome sundae bar with great toppings!! The price point was amazing as it was only $15 per person for dinner time. I NEVER leave a review however I understand that this is not only a platform to recommend but also to help businesses do better.... We've been coming here for years, always our after church go-to. It's clean, great service and food is pretty good. The manager usually runs a tight ship, making sure everyone from staff to patrons are respected and feel welcome. It's been months and we decided to try our oldie but goodie again. Food was good but sadly they allow small children to prepare their own plates unaccompanied by an adult. I gently went up to the staff (did not see the manager) and discreetly let them know of the risk of small children being at the buffet bar unaccompanied by adult, the risk of the child and to the patrons, unfortunately they were the least concerned. These children were all over the place. Even standing at others people's table. Some folks did not appreciate the uninvited company. Advice, instead of telling the children they can't be at the bar unaccompanied, speak to the parents and get this under control. Children have a tendency to pick up food, drop it, and then put it back, unaccompanied children can also get snatched by strangers because you have no idea who they're suppose to be with, and lastly make sure this is expressed to the parents when being seated that way they understand just like rules in other buffets are standing, "do not use the same plate twice". We came by for lunch on a Sunday after church. This was our first time visiting Chow Time (a fitting name for a buffet). The restaurant is very large with lots of seating. We enjoyed how all the seating "nooks" were named for U.S. cities. We were seated in Orlando. The hosts/greeters met us with smiles and we were immediately sat (no wait). Our server was friendly and kept our table clean by clearing our dirty plates quickly. They have hot Chinese foods (typical buffet dishes), crab, crawfish, shrimp, mussels, sushi (small rolls, simple combinations, but tasty), hibachi, fruit, and desserts (typical buffet offerings plus ice cream cups). So like most "responsible" or cautious folks, my other half and I haven't been to a sit down establishment since right before the pandemic warranted an all around lock down here in Georgia. That means no eating inside a restaurant (or even outside) for the past 3-4 months. We love our take out and enjoying the comfort of our own home most times anyway, but even for us this was kind of a long span to not eat out. I saw this restaurant post some COVID-19 updates to Yelp and decided to just see if they were abiding by their new safety standards and to see if anyone was even going to venture out to try them. The great news is that my fiancé and I did try this place over two weeks ago now as part an early 4th of July celebration and have had no ill effects from the experience - no COVID-19 and no food poisoning or other illnesses. Granted, we're probably not going to go to another buffet for months, but we were blessed to have had a safe dine-in experience. From the minute we walked in we felt safe, and we agreed that if any point we didn't, then we would leave, no questions asked. There was ample hand sanitizer provided, disposable gloves, and the restaurant had floor markings indicating lanes of travel thru the buffet. The best part about it is, when we went there was literally only one other gentleman eating in the restaurant and he was seated very far from us. I'm glad to say they are enforcing social distancing and proper sanitation. All the employees are apparently tested regularly, monitor their health, and wore their masks. We of course wore our masks too. So with all of these precautions, there seemed to be no more risk than a regular sit down restaurant at this point. In terms of food, they had a good amount of their buffet put out, but definitely not all. It's comparable to Hibachi, but due to the obvious lack of foot traffic, a lot of the fried foods were dried out and not appealing at all. They had two kinds of bao - one had nothing in it, and was just a steamed bun. The other was a custard bun. I would've liked to see a char siu bun like I see so frequently back home in Maui, but I understand that they were serving only a limited menu like most places right now. The service was professional and attentive, but a little too attentive at times, as they kind of tend to hover. Perhaps, they were making sure no one was soiling anything with unhygienic habits, but it honestly was mildly uncomfortable. I've seen watchful staff at Hibachi before, probably making sure no one dines and dashes also, but there are arguably better ways to achieve this security. Overall, it was a decent experience and my love really enjoyed the hibachi aspect of the restaurant - the steak in particular. We were glad the staff stuck to their promises of a clean and safe dining experience. Maybe we'll come back after we're rid of COVID-19 for good, or at least when we gain control of it. read more

They are trying! During these crazy times of COVID-19 the staff is trying to make it a good place to eat. The staff are friendly and wearing masks. They are coming to check in on you frequently. I went twice in the last week once for lunch time and last night for dinner. Lunch time food was better and I think it was due to more people coming in so the food was fresher. We came here for the first time during their grand opening month and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and variety of sushi they had. Fast forward to over a year later, we came on a Sunday and the parking wasn't even half as full. My mom also noticed the name and price change so we assumed it may have had a new owner. We found out why it was so vacant quickly after we were seated and went to get the food. About 1/3 of the selections I remembered were gone. Sushi variations decreased to some basic rolls that barely has any fish now. The ones they did put out was extremely lacking, which is so disappointing since that's what I remembered this place for. Barely any seafood and no crab legs present to pick (though I did read another review saying you have to order it). Most of the protein like the chicken and steak wasn't fresh nor tasteful, plus the orange chicken was covered in goopy sauces. Customer service is the same with every other asian buffet you go to, so nothing bad. It's just pretty sad how downhill this place went. Chow King started out great and then experienced a subtle and slow demise. Chow Time took it over. It has now declined further. You can certainly fill your belly for $5.99 (less than Chow King), but you get what you pay for and the options that were really enjoyable to me have disappeared. They no longer offer dim sum items like shumai, red bean buns, turnip cakes, and sticky rice. Salmon nigiri, ebi nigiri, and eel rolls are no longer offered at lunch. The sushi offerings were heavy on fake crab and cheap fillers. They didn't have wonton soup. To top things off, a waitress in service station area kept hacking up phlegm. Nothing to complain about for a $5.99 lunch buffet. While the food was not anything to write home about, it was $5.99 all you can eat. Nuf said! Mixed in with this is the large sushi section next to a made to order hibachi station. Then there's the go-to American fare like fried chicken, yeast rolls, pizza, mac n cheese, and potato wedges. I have to admit that I had 3-4 plates filled with all of my guilty pleasures and childhood favorites. They have a nice dessert section and the ice cream comes in cute little cartons versus the self-serve machine that I'm used to with buffets. I would definitely come back. If you want to try this place, definitely come during lunch time. It's $8.99 lunch vs. $22.99 dinner. There wasn't much difference in my opinion. Dinner may have a little bit more stuff like snow crab legs, etc but it's just not worth the $14 price difference IMO. For what you're paying, the food just isn't up to par. Some of the dishes were dried up from being out too long and they simply don't replenish quick enough. A lot of the dishes were just empty or close to empty. The sushi was always low unless you waited there at the sushi bar otherwise you won't get anything good. Yes, there are a lot of options, but if you care anything about the quality of food then you probably won't come here especially during dinner. And for someone like me that doesn't eat much, I'll never get my money's worth + the food quality isn't good. So I might as well go to a place I enjoy without trying to overeat or stuff myself.
