I've come here a few times and food is always great and consistent! Prices are reasonable and they are always cleaning the stations. The food is always fresh tasting and hot. They always keep it refilled and stocked--however I've only come for lunch time so I'm not sure how they run dinner. Service is typical, you order your drink and get to eating. They refill drinks, take dirty plates away in a timely manner and when you get dessert, they give the check plus a fortune cookie. Plenty of parking and they are usually busy during lunch. read more

It's a solid buffet as far as options. I would have enjoyed it more if the food was hotter. I did enjoy the spicy shrimp as it was flavorful and hot. I go to places like this because I like seafood. I always want crab legs when I go. Crab legs are the reason for me going! Every time i go they have bad crabs. I have a habit of smelling things, especially things that I put in my mouth and when I smelt them, they smelled like cat piss. Or ammonia both smells are really really bad. I was upset. I really didn't want to eat there anymore because that's what I wanted. Those people did not offer me any kind of discount she acknowledge that she smelt the crab legs and that they smelt bad, but she could not do anything because the manager would not allow her to compensate me in any kind of way. Although I paid afterwards, I deserved a discount. The manager had a very nasty attitude. She didn't care that I had bad crab or that they were serving bad crabs at all. I meant to call the Food and Inspector, but I forgot. When I have time, I will make sure I do that because this is not OK and the way the manager that little Asian lady with the short Bob attitude was, they should not really even have customers because they don't appreciate our business. We happened to just stumble across this buffet one day while driving. The service was great! Everybody was friendly, they kept the Buffet stocked, and kept the tables clean! We went on a pretty busy day so that's impressive. The food was pretty good for buffet food. Have a wide selection of Asian foods as well as American, sushi, cook to order hibachi, and desserts. I thought it was hilarious that they had Cheetos on the dessert bar, but they sure do know their target market because they were definitely getting eaten! read more

My previous review from 2014 is pretty accurate to what my visit was like today. It is what it is quality wise...only thing that has really changed is the number of panhandlers milling around outside asking for "change". That was new to me, for this particular area and they were pretty feisty about it too. Nothing here is going to blow your mind, but it's all familiar and the people that work there do their best to keep things clean and orderly on the inside, given the volume of people that eat there. Items that are popular turn over frequently and will be of better quality. Items that are not as popular will sit there, be picked at and age accordingly. Be prepared to end up with items from other dishes being on your plate. Case in point-I got some of a chicken dish that was floating around in a brown sauce, and once I dug in, I realized there was a shrimp that was also on my plate from a surrounding container. Sooooo, if you're sensitive to such things-I wouldn't come here because it does and will continue to happen. read more

Plenty of varieties in meat, veggies, and seafood. I was full before I can finish trying it all. Everything is cooked just right, no overcooking. I don't know if it's done all day, but while I was there for lunch, fresh food is brought out constantly. Plenty of delicious dessert choices also, I especially like the mango pudding. Place is very clean, temperature is cool, lighting is bright enough. You can't beat the price for all that they serve. Beware though, drinks are extra. Hibachi Buffet and Grill is a spacious eatery providing an all-you-can-eat Asian buffet, with sushi, a grill station and seafood. A family oriented establishment. I like the place and it is what it is. If a place is always busy, it must be serving good food and I must say, this place has good food. There is a good selection of food and meat options. Some of it is better than others and it isn't fancy. It is not the finest food, but it has a good value. You can choose your own ingredients for soups. Salads and fruits were fresh and delicious. They had ice cream when you dine in which I liked a lot. The sushi is good and the pieces are very large and tasty. Fried oysters, shrimp cooked about ten different ways. You can get stir-fry with seafood. The hibachi is good too. I liked that I was able to build my own plate and watch the guy cook it for me. The servers were good, they had a bit of a crowd so it was understandable if they were a bit slow with our drinks. Our service was okay, but I don't expect much from a buffet waitress. They do have ample free parking in front of the restaurant. I would recommend this place to give at least a try and you would not be disappointed. I would be sure going back again. read more

One of the best affordable buffets in the north Atlanta area. Great price, fresh food, clean and comfy atmosphere. I live in South Metro, but I will drive here if buffet is what I desire without disappointment. Not only is the buffet stocked with a huge variety of super fresh options, but also, there is sushi being freshly made and an option for cooked to order Hibachi. The only reason I'm not giving 5 star is because the salad bar was lack luster and didn't have some of the basic ingredients for a nice salad (this is my opinion...yours may differ). I came to eat at this buffet around 5:40. I was seated by the host wearing pink sweater and glasses. She asked me what I want for the drink. I told her I want ice tea. She said green tea. I said ice tea ( sweet tea) than she said unsweet tea. I heard her as ice sweet tea and I told her yes. You can fine Hibachi Buffet at 7045 Jimmy Carter Blvd, Norcross, GA 30092 across from the Peachtree Corners shopping center (one of the LA Fitness locations I like to visit is there) and in a building in front of a Holiday Inn Express. I believe that this business used to be across the street and down a bit - same owner(s). First let me tell provide my opinion on buffets - I think they're a mixed bag. The nice thing about them is that you can pretty much fill-up on a fixed price AND get in-and-out super quickly - I find them very convenient when time is short as I can usually cut my time in the restaurant to as little as 20 minutes - if you're on a fixed timeline for lunch there's much to be said for being able to get so much variety for the price and quickness of fast food. The flip-side is that the quality of the food may be more cafeteria-like than you prefer, catering to generic tastes. Ethnic buffets extend on the above by providing stronger flavors that cater to an Americanized perspective on Chinese, Indian, etc foods. In general I've found Indian buffets to have flavors the closest to the ethnicity represented while Chinese buffets are just the opposite - very much the schwag, Americanized version of Chinese food. American buffets in a way are the worst, providing some of the blandest Southern or other mishmash of cuisines that imply Italian, or other cuisines from some belated Betty Crocker cookbook written in the 50's (and I may be disparaging BC in this case as most buffets don't even get that right). Taking in the above, please take my opinions with a grain of salt. As Asian buffets go, you could do much worse than Hibachi Buffet. This rather expansive location has plenty of seating and better, lots of selection, from Chinese, Korean and Japanese to passable buffet sushi and a fair selection of American desserts. This isn't 5-star cuisine but quite filling and I think most Americans would do fine eating here. The best deal is the $9.99 all-you-can-eat Mon-Thurs and really, you should be saving your weekends for your significant other at something fancier. For me, this is a great deal for those weekday nights after the gym when I want to pack on some proteins that taste better than a burger or fried chicken finger. For the food, everything had that typical blandness you get with food averaged for the masses - nothing truly distinctive here. Even the kimchi was a bit weak, more like salted cabbage soaked in that fake kimchi sauce (it needed much more fermentation). Came in on a Monday night..the place was very slow. The owner/manager was kind of rude and didn't really direct us anywhere. I asked if the price increased since last time and he just ignored my question. That should have been my first sign to leave. I said to myself oh well, $11.99 pp for AYCE isn't bad.. Food: less than mediocre. Everything was very stalled or under the heat lamp all day long. Everything we had was also super tasteless or super salty. My spouse is a vegan and was excited to see that they had vegan options to only see that it wasn't entirely vegan. The label said 'butter potatoes' and 'egg roll' with a vegan sticker on it. Maybe they need to read up on what vegan means. Service: manager was rude. The waitress however was sweet! Her name was Susan and she was super attentive. This is a very poorly organized business. They struggled to seat us. The lobby had a peculiar smell, which made me really question the cleanliness of the place. Also, the buffet was not kept tidy. There was a lot of opportunity for more cleaning around where people had slopped food. The food itself was not very good. Some was bland, and other items were extremely salty. This is my first time here. We came on a coworkers recommendation. She said that it was cheap ($7.55 for lunch. Monday through Friday 11:00 - 3:30). I wasn't expecting very much because I've been to my fair share of Chinese buffets that are around the $8 range. We went around 12:30, after the initial lunch rush. The food was always topped off and hot. Hibachi wasn't disappointing either. I usually have to add more sauce after I get a plate from the hibachi bar, but I didn't have to do that here. The only thing that was disappointing was the size of the sushi. Sushi was so big. Think of the biggest munchkin from Dunkin' Donuts you've seen. The sushi was that big. I would have liked to try different ones, but because of all the rice it had, i could only eat a couple of pieces. The good thing about it though was that they didn't cheap out on the amount of fish they put in. The amount of fish was proportional to the amount of rice they used. I'll definitely come back again. Where do I start? Hibachi Buffet is located off Peachtree Industrial Blvd near Jimmy Carter intersection. It sits on an independent intersection, so not in a store. As you walk in, you are greeted by a girl who looks no more than 12. Table/Cleanliness: Very dirty and sticky. It was honestly disgusting to eat there. I would not have eaten here if I spent a little too much in New York just two days before. Service/Waitress: typical Chinese buffet service no need to explain more than this. Comparison: Compared to a buffet of similar categories such as Chowtime formerly Chow King and Super Hibachi Buffet( pleasant hill rd Assi Plaza), I think this is the worst of the 3. Most customers here are of Latin origin. A couple of plates and dishes were not clean, and I did not even bother to look at the sushi bar/ salad bar cause I know my stomach will not be resting that following night. They got more fried food than other places. If you are a customer of Asian decent, this may let you down. I recommend Chow Time or Super for a better experience. Highly do not recommend this place. It's okaaaay, it's your typical hibatchi buffet with regular service and pretty typical options with some cool exceptions. The American options looked bad... There's a couple things that make this buffett stand out like the salad bar, sauce options, a couple unique line items, and decorations. For example, there was this Prawn soup that was amazing with Crawfish tails put in it!!! It really wasn't that great and some of the food was bland. For $14 something per person on a Thursday afternoon I expected a little better, but it was still good! This is a beef-free zone! The hibachi area contains absolutely NO beef, and the only beef dish on the buffet was something that looked like a beef brisket wanna-be.
