    Xo egg tofu
    Amanda C.

Came by for Saturday dinner and it was pretty full but luckily we snagged a seat. We felt a little bit rushed to order as they were hovering over us and asked multiple times what we wanted to order, perhaps their goal is efficiency. Was excited to try the peking duck with buns but were really disappointed in them. They were quite dry - both the duck AND the buns which should be fluffy and moist. Won't be getting that again. They seem to excel in the claypots - the eggplant and xo egg tofu dishes were AMAZING. I plan to come back to try more of them. The walnut shrimp was pretty good but a little too saucy for my liking. I did like how it came with broccoli so we didn't have to order a veg. Overall seems like they have some standout dishes and others not so great.

After a group activity, we longed for some dinner. Someone suggested Bo Bo garden as it can accommodate our large group. This was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the dinner for 6 people and all but one plate was cleared. It's hard to pick a favorite as they were all pretty good. The group collectively did not care for the scallion chicken. Everything came out hot and well seasoned. They even give you some fruits at the end. Service was fast but we did have to ask for water. Dinner for 6 comes with: Beef and cilantro egg drop soup Pork chop with Peking sauce Flounder Shrimp with walnut XO egg tofu Black pepper steak Scallion chicken Seasonal vegetables

I absolutely looove Bo Bo Garden! There was about a 2 month streak where my husband and I would go every weekend. Pretty sure they know us by now lol. The service is great and very fast! I typically order the Singapore Noodles, House Lo mein, or some other type of house rice noodle dish. I've also ordered Chinese broccoli and it was fantastic! In a crowded sea of Asian restaurants along Buford Highway, Bo Bo stands out. It also helps that my favorite rolled ice cream place ( ICE NY) is right next door :)

Looking for another excuse to celebrate Lunar New Year, my friends and I made dinner reservations here on a Sunday. There still looked to be plenty of other tables available but they also quickly filled up so I think it's always better safe than sorry. Parking was a breeze since they have their private lot with a fair amount of spots. Decor is consistent with other traditional Chinese restaurants with an even bigger room that they had blocked off, great if looking for a large venue in the area. Being a group of 15, we got the classic 10 course wedding dinner meal consisting of a variety of dishes including Stir fry tofu and pork with chives, Salt n pepper squid, Scallions Chicken, Fried Salted Fish Fried Rice, Egg tofu in sauce, Beef stir fry, Lobster Ginger & Scallion, Butter Cheese, Mexican Style, Hong Kong style, Hot Red Pepper, Pork Chop with Peking Sauce, Peking Duck, and Fried rice to name a few. Some of my favorites were of course the lobster, the egg tofu, beef stir fry, and pork chop. Everything came out in a flash and they were very on top of cleaning off our table and refilling our tea kettles. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. Our bellies were full, our cheeks sore from laughing, and we were able to get in and out especially for being such a large group. Bathrooms were pretty clean and the staff were very nice. Would love to come again and recommend others to check them out!

I don't think I've ever been when it hasn't been seemingly busy, though I think they tend to seat people in one area before they open up the rest of the restaurant. Upon entering, it appears smaller than the outside makes it look. However, near the entrance, there are other rooms for seating, some private and some for when the main seating area becomes full. The interior has some decorations many who frequent Chinese restaurants will be familiar with, and there are some fish tanks that showcase the fresh fish they use. The food is pretty good. They have many options, and it comes out pretty quick. I've come here a few times over the years I've lived in Georgia, and the black pepper steak has always been pretty consistent. Their fried options are usually done crispy too, but this time, the tofu (which is my first time ordering it) wasn't fried long enough, so the texture was off. It tasted fine, so we did finish it. Everything else was good.

Came here with a large group for lunar new year and they were so accommodating!! A couple people arrived early and ordered, the waiter told the kitchen to make the food 10 min before the rest of the group arrived so it would still be fresh! Food was authentic Chinese and so good!! 5/5 food - favorite was the egg tofu and spicy fish 5/5 service 5/5 vibes - plenty of parking and classic Chinese restaurant vibes!

This is a very tasty Cantonese place in Doraville! It is a small restaurant, and everything about it does look unassuming. But the food is really good, reminding me of a taste similar to what you can get in Southern China. The prices are also very fair, with decent portion sizes. This is also one of the only places I know in the area that has clay pot rice, so if you ever want to try clay pot rice, this is the place to go! I would definitely come again some time to try more of their dishes.

Went for lunch, service was efficient. You're seated quickly and food comes out rather quick. Here's what I liked. Tons of parking, efficiency and food. I love the array of teas they offer and how it's served. The chrysanthemum tea was great. After your meal, your given a complimentary palette cleanser. That day it was oranges. What I wasn't ready for, was the waitstaff. I felt a little watched, not rushed but their presence was constantly monitoring. Also, be prepared, for their accents. Just be patient, they are nice.

This is one of my go to Chinese restaurants. They have great food. They have great selection and they will also make things that are not on the menu. My only negative comment is that they don't have dark meat chicken, which is strange being a Chinese restaurant. The service is what you expect at a typical Chinese restaurant on Buford Highway. The clientele is predominantly Asian, but this place is frequented by many non-Asians. Unlike other Chinese restaurants in the area, this Chinese restaurant charges for extra rice. The atmosphere of the place can either be very loud or normal noise level, depending on how many kids are there.

Tried a bunch of dishes for lunch. The beef brown flat noodles and fried rice were missing flavor. The snow pea tips were lacking in aromantics. The salt and pepper squid was chewy too. The place was neat and had quick service. It was quick to made and came hot, but water and tea refill were slow.

E X P E R I E N C E so traditional that they have live fish swimming around in tanks. you can choose which fish you want to be cooked! when we walked in, we were immediately greeted. there were a few other tables occupied. we came as a group of two on a thursday around noon. we were immediately brought drinks and given menus. S E R V I C E fantastic. (especially for a chinese restaurant. many times they don't care lol) they're very attentive and polite. they checked up on us several times and if we were looking around for them, they would immediately come help. F O O D water spinach: cooked v well. garlic. light. flavorful. cumin lamb: different than what i expected. i expected a fried dish but this was very good too. flavor was balanced. nice to have a different flavor salt and pepper spare ribs: a bit dry but my friend said this is usually done v well. flavor was good though. lightly fried congee: incredible. my friend wanted to order this which i was resistant bc im asian, i cook and don't order anything i can make at home. but this congee was fire! sooo tasty B A T H R O O M v well kept. clean. no smell. 3 spacious stalls for women. The restaurant itself is pretty small and stays BUSY, which isn't surprising once you taste the food. Everything we ordered had so much flavor. We tried the shrimp fried rice, Shanghai soup dumplings, scallion beef, and the traditional pan fried pork buns, and I honestly enjoyed all of it. The soup dumplings were a standout, and the scallion beef was packed with flavor. The only downside was the service. Everyone was friendly, but they were clearly overwhelmed. It took a while to get attention, and the food came out whenever it was ready instead of all at once. It wasn't a deal breaker, but it's definitely something to expect if you're dining in. Overall, the food was absolutely worth the visit. Next time, I think I'd order takeout instead because the quality of the food was excellent, and it seems like that might be the best way to enjoy it.

Parking may seem tight but there is plenty more behind the building so don't be discouraged. I would suggest making a reservation by calling (if you have a large group) as there can be a wait on busy weekend days. I personally love most of their dumplings - soup dumplings, pork, lamb and zucchini. I've ordered the chive dumplings a few times but the chives always ends up being very overpowering. The dumplings are made by hand and come out steaming hot and fresh. They also have a selection of rice and noodles and other dishes which we have ordered but not as the main attraction. I'll be back here without a doubt when I have my next dumpling craving.

When we arrived, I realized the location used to be the old Hong Kong Supermarket -- only longtime locals would probably remember that. The layout inside was pretty interesting. There was a Te'amos milk tea shop in the middle, Lao Szechuan on the right, and the hot pot & BBQ restaurant on the left. The staff greeted us warmly and quickly helped us get seated. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was that they offered freshly made milk teas and fruit teas instead of bottled drinks. The drinks were decent and refreshing, especially for balancing out the richness of the meal. Each person gets their own mini hot pot, which I really liked because everyone could customize their own soup base and ingredients. We chose a variety of broths including mushroom, spicy mala, tomato, and herbal soup. Using the iPad ordering system, we basically ordered one of everything from both the hot pot and BBQ menus. The food came out surprisingly fast, and they even used robots to deliver dishes to the table, which was smooth and efficient. For hot pot, my personal favorites were the fatty beef slices, lamb, beef tripe, black tripe, tofu skin rolls, squid flowers, enoki mushrooms, corn, lotus root slices, kelp knots, fish balls, and beef tendon balls. Everything tasted great with the broth and my favorite sesame dipping sauce. On the BBQ side, the standout items for me were the cumin lamb, beef tongue, chicken cartilage, short ribs, and squid. We weren't exactly BBQ experts, so some meats weren't cooked perfectly, but the flavor was still really enjoyable -- and the best part was that you could keep ordering as much as you wanted. Honestly, for around $40 per person, it felt like a very good value. My parents both thought it was worth the price. We left full and satisfied, and the service was always attentive whenever we needed something. The drink was really good, especially for a restaurant!! Very floral tea with fruity mango notes, it was so good I wanted another one. The mapo tofu was very rich in flavor, it had the spiciness but also held the body of the black bean flavor without being oily. So far our favorite mapo tofu in the area. The Yummy Spicy Chicken (fried cubed chicken with peppers) was the same, the crunchiness was perfect and the chicken was still moist. I do wish it had a little more spice but it was still good. The Jing Jiang pork also tasted good, but I was quite surprised with the meat quality as re-heating the next day did not have any gamey flavors.
