Nothing about this place was good... we came in, didn't have a reservation, but the front desk attendant said it would only be a 5-10 minute wait. The manager, Emily, for whatever reason, refused to seat us. She was only interesting in seating large groups of people. We ended up waiting closer to 30 minutes. The show wasn't bad but the food was not good. The fried rice tasted strange, the chicken had 0 seasoning, the veggies had no seasoning. The only thing that tasted decent was the shrimp. We arrived late on a Friday night, about an hour before closing, without a reservation. The restaurant was able to seat us at a hibachi table within minutes. The restaurant was clean and had only one other table seated. For drinks, our party of 4 ordered Sapporo, red sangria, sake, and strawberry daiquirI. all the drinks were good, but the daiquiri was not as frozen as we were used to. We ordered off the hibachi menu with entrees including steak, filet mignon, and chicken. The red meats were cooked perfectly and were juicy. The chicken was incredibly dry and almost inedible. Soup, salad, and veggies were what you would expect. Fried rice was mediocre. The white bang bang sauce is not the same as American yum yum sauce. read more

Made a reservation for 9 people for a birthday party. We had a great time! Our chef was very skilled and the atmosphere was fun. This place gets busy, they do not seat you until your whole party has arrived. The menu is a bit confusing but the servers talk you through it.. different types of proteins to choose from.. ect. I felt bad because the table across from us didn't have a working hot table, They did not get to experience the chefs tricks and skills. This is a classic teppanyaki place with all the spectacle you remember. From knifework to liberal use of flames, you are guaranteed at least some entertainment.  The highlight was probably rings of onion on fire and a pissing boy putting out the flames. Some chefs are more chatty than others, the wait staff provided decent service. Foodwise: The miso soup was below average - quite weak. The salad was so so. The teppanyaki fried rice was pretty good, though it didn't have enough egg (1 egg for 2 people). The sushi was ok. The vegetables were a bit overcooked. Of the meats, the chicken was so so. The beef and shrimp were pretty good. We are glad to find this place! One of the good Hibachi restaurants in GTA. Spacious, clean, adequately illuminated interior. Nice ambiance. Booking over the iPhone was simple. They accommodated the time we preferred for dinner. Service was excellent! The Chef was lively and showed a nice performance. Food was good. Absolutely appalling experience! This restaurant demonstrated blatant racism by prioritizing white customers over us, despite our earlier arrival and appointment. We were forced to wait for almost 30 minutes on the table after ordering food. To top it off, when our fried rice finished, it was clear that we received significantly less rice and vegetables than neighboring tables. The staff serving fried rice to the other customers first, they arrived much later than us and ordered later than us, they all get more than one bowl of fried rice, when it comes to us, at the end of the table, I only got a half bowl of fried rice, I was asking for napkins and sauce, the server just ignore me and ask the white customers next to us how was their food, It's disgraceful and unacceptable to be treated with such blatant discrimination, never come again! read more

The service last night was absolutely terrible. I planned a bday for 2 members in my group & from start to finish it was a horrible experience. One of the managers there was very rude. He was more "Money hungry" than "Customer Service Friendly & accommodating"! It appeared they didn't want to Sing happy birthday to the 2 bday guests. If I can make a negative star rating I would. My family took me out for my birthday on Saturday February 3, 2024 for a 6pm seating that was 30 mins late to start. Our chef should have been trained to entertain us patrons as that's what we came for a show but we had no show or a personality in front of us The food was all wrong, steaks were all over cooked when we asked for medium rare and rare. And when the time came to put my lobster on my plate someone else had my piece so I ended up with a scrap piece of lobster, that's it!!! $70 dollars if rice is what I had and the rice was flavourless. No salt, no garlic, nothing to make it taste palatable. My grandson who is 15 months old is completely traumatized from the fire that came towards him from the onion tower trick. The flames went towards him and he clearly started screaming in fear. So what does the chef do again? another round of fire to really make my grandson scream in fear even louder. There was zero discretion used knowing that there was a baby at he table. I have to video of my grandson screaming from fear of the fire that we were not prepared to experience. We are never going back to this place again. For over $900 dollar dinner bill for us 8 people it wasn't worth it at all. So disappointed. Go elsewhere please and don't bring your babies. read more

Part 1: The Reservation Went in person to make a reservation for 3 for New Year's Eve. The host was more than polite, and cheerily took down my information. I was given a tour of the restaurant (spankin' clean and beautiful!), and I asked for a seating at Table C. Each table seats 20 for the communal live chef experience and I was excited to try this place out. Not only is it new and trending, but I have not had the teppenyaki experience before and was looking forward to it! Part 2: The Dining Experience. Sad to say, the actual dinner didn't really live up to expectation. As hub put it: Good food, poor delivery. When we arrived, the hostesses were clearly taken a bit aback by the note for our specially requested table. We didn't get it. They had to figure it out and were directed to bring us into the VIP room, which was a bit cramped, especially with the coats, purses, etc. It was obvious they weren't very experienced and hadn't been working there very long, but at least we didn't have to wait too long before being seated (elsewhere). The set up is prix fixe for the holiday and you can choose your protein for your entree. The miso soup, salad, 4 pieces of roll, fried rice and dessert (choice of mango or green tea ice cream) are set, but you can "upgrade" your vegetable fried rice to chicken fried rice, for $5. My daughter and I choose the steak with additional protein (scallops) for an additional $5. This was definitely a good move, but it highlights what a ridiculous charge the few pieces of pre-cooked little cubes of chicken for same extra $5 to the fried rice is. Would definitely not pay $5 for those little diced chicken bits again. We also had to point out when being served without them that they were for one of our orders. The live chef experience is great. His moves and mastery of the cutlery is entertaining to watch, and it's nice to see the fresh ingredients being used. We had the onion volcano display and flying utensils that rival rock star drummer moves. We had tea rather than water with our meals, and I was shocked to see that we were actually charged $3.50 each for the tea. I have never been charged for tea in all the Asian restaurants I've been to all my life. Ever. The last delivery d'oh was getting the bill settled. We had just one bill for the 3 of us, but first, they mixed up some of our dishes with another party's. Then, they still mischarged for one of our entrees, and had to reprocess it yet again. Not sure I'd come back. Definitely a lot of room for improvement in the service/delivery. read more

Holiday teppanyaki menu: I ordered the striploin steak package ($34.99) that came with salad, miso soup, avocado/cucumber roll, stir fried veggies and ice cream. I substituted the fried rice for yakisoba noodles (additional $5) which I instantly regret after watching everyone else eat their fried rice. It's nothing special for the upgrade price. The striploin steak was so tender and vibrant red so the quality was really noticeable. Their medium rare was more on the rare side so I'd say ask them to confirm with one piece first before serving you your 8oz portion. Shrimp & vegetable tempura: comes with 3 shrimp and 3 veggies ($8.50). Small pieces and the veggies weren't really battered well and tasted like it was soaked in oil. I would avoid. Came here during Valentine's Day with a reservation. We were seated quickly even though we came a bit early (10min) The server we had was super slow at everything and forgot a lot of thing... My boyfriend waited for his beer for 20 minutes, which never came and we had to ask her again. Then, when it came time to pay, we were in a rush because we had a movie to go to, but they had not brought the ice cream (which we didn't care for anyways) and we had to ask three times for the bill, which one server said "you'll get it when the entire table does.." Came here on our anniversary and so glad we decided on this place. Everything we had was very tasty and flavourful. The portions were just right. We opted for the pick 2 option and upgraded to the fried rice instead of white rice. I ordered filet mignon and scallops and my husband had sirloin and chicken. The table area we were seated was freezing and we had to ask multiple times to adjust the heating. This was extremely disappointing and made guests very uncomfortable. The service was very slow we reserved for 8pm and didn't leave until 11:30pm. The celebration package was missing cheesecake and a photo. I was given some gift cards last year so finally decided to give this place a whirl. We went during lunch and it was pretty empty. At the teppanyaki table, I ordered the chicken, salmon and scallops and my daughter had the shrimp tempura and then the chicken with chicken fried rice. The chef was friendly but being that there were only 5 of us at the table, our enthusiasm prolly wasn't that evident. First came the veggies and rice and then the meats and scallops. It was all tasty and while it really didn't stand out from other establishments offering the same product, it didn't fare any worse. We booked a luncheon for 20. They had a private room for your knowledge. They offered it to us when we arrived however I was not made aware of it when bookings. They were very accommodating and helped us organize the separate billing. We all had Teppan-Yaki. The food was fresh and the quality was good. Everyone enjoyed the food. The only complaint I heard was that everyone wished the delicious rice servings were larger. They were a bit on the small side. Price was reasonable for the quality. I went when they just opened up. I've always wanted to go to a place like this and I'm so glad I did it was so fun .seeing them cook infront of you was so entertaining The food was very delicious as well cooked perfectly way it should be seasoned perfectly well. I kmew I had to go back again a second time and I did few weeks later for my girlfriend birthday the guy that was cooking for us was really nice and had a lot of energy and kept the conversation going as he was cooking which was cool that's definitely customer service right there. He also wished my gf a happy birthday which was nice of him to do. We then got more entertainment with before our desert they played the drums and sang happy birthday to my gf which was really cool because most places just but not this place they really know how to treat you on your birthday. Wow!!! At first I thought I wouldn't be leaving a positive review, I'm being honest here. But what I needed to understand was that when you're at a hibachi restaurant you need to be patient. Lesson learned. I came here today (Jan 17, 2020) for my daughters 14th birthday. There was a total of 8 people and we phoned a week ahead and made a reservation, the night before they sent me a text to confirm my reservations. They were VERY accommodating as we had a shrimp allergy as well as 2 kids that for religious reasons don't eat beef. They were very aware and by they I mean at least 4 employees. For that I'm thankful. We got the group rate A and that was MORE than enough for us. The food was fresh and amazing the servers, chef, and other employees did a great job! This was my first time visiting and I have to say the food was excellent. I would make a couple of suggestions. 1. Offer refills on soft drinks. I was surprised when the server said you have to pay for a second one. For the mount of money it costs the owner for the drinks I am sure you could offer refills. 2. Don't nickel and dime people. I didn't like on the Teppanyaki menu that you need to add extra $$ for upgraded food. Example is the menu comes with steamed rice but if you want fried it costs more. That seems to be silly. There are also upgrades that cost $1, $2, or $3 more in addition to the entree cost. That is nickel and diming people. read more

In terms of the teppanyaki experience you can't go wrong. The chefs are engaging and entertaining for adults and children alike. When I went they were still obtaining a liquor license and were giving a discount accordingly which was much appreciated! The meat and fish were extremely fresh and the steak and chicken were very tender as well. However where I do take issue are the huge up charges for things like a tea or a side of anything other than plain white rice. I have never been to a teppanyaki that charges up to $5 for vegetable fried rice on the side? The prices for the proteins in general are not on the cheap end to begin with so I don't know why they are gouging you on a decent side. With teppanyaki locations a dime a dozen in vaughan they're going to need to put themselves ahead of the rest! read more
