    Scallop and steak.

Extremely reasonable price teppanyaki venue. You can get two a set meal with two of the basic proteins for 35$. The set meal comes with miso soup, salad, rice and protein. I would highly suggest getting the scallop option, as they are fresh and decently sized! Automatic gratuity when the party size is greater than 7 people. Staff are friendly, however the performance was very basic.

We saw this video on YouTube on Teppanyaki and thought it'd be fun to come to a local Teppanyaki spot in downtown Toronto. The food was only OK but we knew that people came here for the culinary SHOW. It was overall fun (impressive knife skills and a few cheap jokes here and there) but not something we'd come here as regulars. A delight to bring out-of-town guests. Come here for a sort of "only once in a lifetime" type night. Worth doing once as a local.

We came here Teppanyaki. One issue we had right off is they wanted to add another two random people to join our group of 5 and separated by a plastic divider -normally we are not anti-social but we just started to eat out and did not want to share a table with others because we will not be six feet apart for sure. A bit annoyed that the hostess keep pushing us but finally she relented and let us eat with our family-unfortunately this was an X that had nothing to do with the food! The chef was quite good and entertaining! The food was fresh and very tasty. A touch on the salty side but nothing terrible. A tip is don't get the add-on chicken rice for $5.50 vs plain white rice for free-a bit of a rip off. All in all, the meal was good and enjoyable. If we did not have the pushy hostess trying to seat us with another two people this would have been a 4 star rating but incident annoyed the entire group enough that it's only a 3 star. I will come back and hopefully they will not be forcing us to share-And I will update at that point in time. Management: take note that patrons DONT like to share tables/grills during a pandemic.

Overall, the entertainment was great. Really put on a great show. Music was good and service was attentive. Food however was bland. It was lacking in flavor and required a lot of modification (added siracha, teriyaki sauce, salt, and pepper). A bit overpriced if I have to add more to make it palatable. There are other hibachi places where you can request additional seasonings or spices.

Our first outing since restaurants opened up. We went for dinner for a friend's birthday. They accommodated us and we even had a grill to ourselves. We had a couple of vegetarians in our group, and they made sure to handle the food accordingly. We all got the teppanyaki sets. I had the salmon and shrimp set. The salmon and shrimp were very well done and the ginger sauce that complementary was delicious!

The best value Summerlicious 2022 dinner option by far. You get a steak hibachi dinner with a starter of California rolls, and a dessert of green tea ice cream mochi. We added veggie fried rice for $3.50, and got a whole pitcher of red wine sangria for $30 (we couldn't finish it, and we both have fairly large appetites). Best part? It's right beside love child social house, they have 5.99 pints of beer and 3.50 bar rail shots.

This was my first Teppanyaki experience. I was staying at Thompson Toronto for a business trip and on the last day my colleague and I decided to dine here. It was on a weekday evening and it was just us and one other group who were there. We were all seated together at a communal table and after the server got our orders, the chef started cooking in front of us. He started by doing some knife tricks, then sautéed veggies by doing a volcano using the onion rings. Next he worked on fried rice, I loved how he broke the egg, then he got to the meats, shrimp etc. Food comes with soup, salad and your choice of rice or noodle. We also ordered some egg rolls which was good and ended with fried ice cream for dessert. All of the food was great and portions were quite generous. Staff was very attentive and friendly. This was a nice experience and will come again if I am in the area anytime.

This was a planned outing. We had made a reservation before hand as needed accessible seating. The restaurant is located next to a trendy hotel. I had looked at the menu beforehand so knew what I was going to order. The other people in the party deliberated the few options before settling on the food. The cooking show is decent for what it is with the onion volcano getting the most attention. I had the following Filet mignon was decent Lobster was ok Vegetable fried rice being a worthy upgrade Vegetables sides, salad and soup being ok as well. I think it's a better option at this price point when you compare with a mainstream chain restaurant that made it popular. 3 stars all said and done

This was based on a Groupon deal. We called and set a dinner time and when we arrived, we were seated right away but had to wait for a bit as the employees were preparing for dinner time. We shared a table with another couple while we watched the chef work his magic. The show was entertaining, the chef cooked our meal while performing some tricks which was nice. The food itself was in great portions...we didn't know and so we decided to eat beforehand haha bad choice. Anyways, we were struggling to finish all the food he cooked for us but I can say that it was delicious, especially the chopped steak. I had a great time and would recommend this to my friends!

Burnt food and a dishonest bill. Duplicate items were added that were never ordered--had to catch it myself. Check your receipt carefully.

Creamy, spicy, perfectly cooked pasta and one of those dishes where you keep going back for another bite even when you're already full. Drinks were solid too. The Pornstar Martini and the Hot & Bothered were both great and fit the vibe of the place. The space feels polished but still lively, especially around the bar. There are specials that change weekly. The interior is decorated with New Orleans memorabilia, medium lit, cozy (not large), with jazz music in the background. Service was attentive and friendly. They operated for 30 years at their old location. This location soft-opened on 2026-02-12. We came on 2026-02-25 for dinner. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Blackened Lamb Chops (weekly special). 7. New Orleans Fisherman's Plate ($39.95). 8. Pecan Pie warmed with Ice Cream ($14.95). 9. Bananas Foster ($14.95). 10. Beignet ($14.95). Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037

Perfectly lighted, which seems odd to say but yeah, it makes a difference. Service: Impeccable. Professional, friendly, helpful but also unobtrusive. Food: TL;DR: "ooh la la" We started with the torched hamachi crudo, which was a symphony of flavour on the palate. The fish was perfectly prepared and struck with just the right texture and char. The candied ginger hits with some zesty accompaniment. In another instant, you're transported to Southeast Asia with a soothing coconutty, tamarind (?) dressing and finally, your head turns (in a good way) when the jalapeño hits. Every bite was a trip. We were in a foodie trance when the next courses arrived. The triple fried French fries were as good as they sounded. There's no picture because my mouth was faster than my camera. The lobster & shrimp fritters were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with crustacean flavour. The sauce was another hit of tang and zest. I think the gastronomical term for how we ate them is "wolfing." The Brussels sprouts were smaller and more flavourful than you commonly find on menus featuring this on-trend appetizer. They were perfectly caramelized and seasoned. The peanuts offered a nice crunchy contrast. We finished with the lemon meringue pie which was a visual and sweet feast in and of itself. I favoured the crust and the meringue topping to the ultra sweet and tart filling but all three shone together in concert. The meringue especially was a gooey, marshmallowy party that spilled over the rest of the dessert. I finished with an Amaro Meletti, which was a nice caramel-cola flavoured digestif and would make a fantastic sorbet (hint to the chefs for a summer treat). Allez chez Aloette, gentile Aloette
