I had a really disappointing experience ordering the steak and scallops. The steak was clearly low quality and came out overcooked, making it tough and hard to enjoy. The scallops were the opposite problem--they were undercooked and didn't feel safe to eat. On top of that, the rice tasted old, like it had been sitting around for far too long, and the vegetables were so hard they were difficult to chew. For the price, I expected much better quality and freshness. Overall, the meal was overpriced and not worth it at all. I wouldn't recommend this place based on my experience. read more

The Yum Yum sauce was YUMMY!!!! I have never had anything like it at any other place in town. The vegetable rice serving is very substantial and tastes awesome! The steak was tender and tasty. I could have skipped the soup and salad if that is an option. We walked in to order and were told that it would be ready in 20 minutes, so we ran to Rouses to pick up a few groceries. Next time we will probably phone ahead. If you are contemplating this restaurant for take out - go for it! If you want to dine in, be aware that it is basically a strip mall with limited seating available. It is fun to watch them cook your meal. read more

Food: it's not the absolute worst hibachi but for the price, atmosphere, service (did not take it well when I asked for my steak to be cooked to medium well instead of medium), taste of food and wait time you could go to Tokyo and have a nicer experience. The service was really good, it's mostly a take out type place but there are a few seats, real nice place the food tasted amazing, the chicken literally melted in our mouths. This place was pretty good for what it was. It's a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with nice people working. I grabbed a lychee marble soda from the cooler but it was missing the top part you use to push the marble so they gave me another one on the house. I ordered the hibachi chicken lunch and I got it with the clear soup and fried rice. I also ordered some pan-fried pork gyoza. The gyoza was good. It was different than I usually have. The dough wrapper was noticeably thicker but it still tasted good. The hibachi chicken was good but it was a very small portion. The fried rice was alright - nothing too fancy. Came here to pick up some dinner my last night visiting town and I was so pleased. I only paid around $20 for all this food and it all tasted great. And one of the workers even ran out after my friend and I when he realized he accidentally packaged a wrong box in her bag. He fixed it, re-bagged it, and thanked us. Average Asian food. Nothing too special, but what you get for the price isn't too bad. I did wait quite a while for my food, and I was the only person in the restaurant the entire time. From the front door this place does not look like much. There is very little to no decoration. But we wanted to eat a quick lunch and avoid a fast food place. Overall the wait was normal I would say considering they had to cook chicken and steak. The amount is good enough for a decent lunch. Steak is nice and not hard at all. Vegetables were Nicely cook and you had a little of everything. We also order gyozas and edamames and both were ok. The soul and salad were fresh. Overall it's a good value for what you pay, I did see plenty of people that must have ordered online since they only picked up. The only complain is having the soup and salad on styrofoam containers. Ordered online for pickup. My only complaint would be that after ordering online the screen did not show how long the wait would be. I had to call and ask. Once the order was ready i received a text. Today was our first time trying this new little place. It was very clean with a menu full of options. We ordered the combo hibachi with noodles, combo hibachi with fried rice, steak hibachi with fried rice, steamed pork gyoza and egg rolls. The egg rolls were fantastic. The pork gyoza was very good but had been steamed just a little too long. The sauce served with the gyoza is perfectly sweet with a little hint of spice. The hibachi noodles and the fried rice were a bit bland, but I tossed them into a pan at home with some low sodium soy and some extra teriyaki sauce I'd requested while there. Perfect after that! If you like your hibachi a little more flavorful, definitely request extra teriyaki while they're preparing it. The shrimp are SO GOOD. Definitely the favorite protein choice within our group. I prefer beef med rare; a temp option was not available, though, for steak. It was still good, but the shrimp were far and away more flavorful. The chicken was good. Meat portions are fairly small; if you're a big eater, opt for extra meat for an upcharge. All orders include a side of yum yum sauce. Great little place with good prices for quick hibachi. The food is good but I have an issue. I come here pretty regularly and one day ordered the chicken hibachi. I asked for no vegetables and when I went to go pay, I noticed that the receipt stapled to the to-go bag showed that I was charged an extra $1 for something. Before I could examine it, the owner curiously ripped the receipt off the bag, presumably because he saw me eyeing it. So I asked for a copy of the receipt and he gave me one that didn't have the price breakdown (eye roll). So I asked for an actual breakdown receipt and at last saw that he charged me an extra $1 for "no vegetables." I asked why I was being charged extra when I was getting less, and he said because he gave me extra rice. Last I checked, replacing something for something else doesn't yield a loss for the company, and rice certainly doesn't cost more than vegetables. But my main issue is how he sneakily tried concealing the extra charge. read more
