    Steak and Chicken Hibachi

My girlfriend and I frequent this restaurant and it's become our favorite hibachi very quickly. The food is consistent and excellently prepared, the service is always above and beyond. And above all else, prices are extremely fair for how much food you get. Hibachi Xpress has weaved itself into our routine. Would be 6 stars if possible!!!

It's pretty standard hibachi food, but the takeout version without entertainment, which in turn, makes it pretty affordable. You get a really big portion too. We got a double meat (chicken and steak), with fried rice, and a double seafood (Salmon and shrimp) with noodles. My wife and I both preferred the noodles over the fried rice, definitely worth the $1 upcharge. I'd also say the salmon was our favorite of the proteins, followed by shrimp, chicken and then the steak. But no complaints with any. The employee that answered the phone was helpful, and everything with the pickup went smoothly. It took about 25 minutes. Oh, and definitely get their homemade yum yum sauce. It's really good. I saved some to use on sandwiches, salads, etc. Really different and tasty. It's a little out of the way, but if I'm in the area I'd probably stop back.

The food was disgusting. And that does not even cover it! The vegetables were mushy. The flavor was bland. The rice was crunchy. And the salmon was not cooked. Worst hibachi I have ever had. I had to throw it away after 3 bites. I am still hungry. I need to eat something else for dinner now. It's also more expensive by 6 dollars than my other hibachi place in Columbus which is 1 million times better. I am not being dramatic. Run away as fast as you can! This shouldn't even be considered food.

This place was a great! Not sure what's up with the negative reviews. Wait time is like 30 mins- 1 hour by the way.

This place is a go to lunch spot for me and is a great value for how much food you get. Their house-made yum yum sauce is delicious

Good food. Usually order it on Uber eats. Opens late. This is pretty much one of the very few places that are open at late hours.

Black Iron Grille - I ordered medium to medium-well. I believe this to be a bit under cooked.

The scallops were cooked to perfection and all the sides were amazing. The Cesar salad was the best I ever had. The ribeye steak was amazingly tender. Definitely worth the 5 star rating.

Around 2, he came by and asked if we wanted any appetizers-we ordered a few. Around 2:30, the appetizers arrived and then he took our order for the meal. The meals were served close to 4pm, probably a little after. Some meals were served hot-my Louisiana Chicken was pretty much cold. It seems like the food was probably good, but the surrounding circumstances ruined it for us. The waiter thanked us for our patience but that was it. The table next to us experienced a similar delay--they were offered free drinks and/or desserts. This may have been the slowest service that I have ever experienced. I am assuming the fact that they were crowded caused the problems, but they accepted our reservation and with that there is an expectation of quality service.

Battleground is an upscale Mexican restaurant that absolutely nails authentic flavor. The food,…read moredrinks, and atmosphere all come together perfectly. The cocktails are creative, balanced, and reasonably priced -- I had the hibiscus mezcal margarita, which had an incredible depth of flavor. For my main, I ordered the Cena de Tacos, which comes with your choice of two out of five sides. I went with a creamy corn bowl and a side of Mexican rice -- both rich, flavorful, and comforting. My wife ordered the shrimp bowl with rice, which was just as delicious. What really stands out here is the authenticity -- every bite tastes like it was crafted with care and respect for traditional Mexican cooking. The interior is classy and modern, yet relaxed enough to feel comfortable. I also love the thoughtful touch of their craft beers being named after social justice initiatives. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Despite the restaurant being nearly full -- she was quick to serve. If you're looking for genuine Mexican flavors served in an elegant but welcoming setting, Battleground is a must-visit.

But alas, I don't think we will return to The Battleground. The service was awkward. The hosts and our waiter were, for a lack of better words, socially awkward young men dressed like they just left school and may have tossed their backpacks behind the hostess stand. It was a weird contrast for the slightly upscale prices and interior they present. The waiter seemed nervous, which, in itself isn't a bad thing, but they awkwardly lingered when it wasn't necessary and was hard to get their attention when we needed our check and to pay the bill. The food and drinks were a mixed review. The Battleground margaritas were delicious. The chips and salsa were not great, we mostly got a basket of tortilla shards. My partner got three tacos--carne azada, al pastor, and fish. His big takeaway was, "they're not very hot (temperature) and they're kind of bland." Similarly, we got the margs "spicy," but my Texas palate said, "this is spicy?" It had a tajin rim, from what I can figure. ...Maybe we're not the normal Ohioan clientele. A bright note, the refried black beans and esquites were awesome and the esquites big enough to share. I ordered the Pescado Veracruz, the plating and sides were good but the mahi mahi was chewy and only slightly above room temperature. Like I said earlier, maybe I did myself a disservice by hoping to find my new favorite Mexican restaurant... but, I just don't see us going back for great margaritas and sides.
