I am a huge fan of Belk, it is one of my go-to's for clothing, which is why I drove 16 miles to this location, as I figured the drive, even out of the way, would 100% be worth it. Well, I was wrong. From the outside, which was dirty and worn, I could tell this wasn't the standard Belk locations I was used to. Upon entry you are immediately overwhelmed by the amount of goods on the floor, racks, shelves and literally everywhere it can fit. The shelves and racks were so packed, and not good packed or organized, they were just haphazardly jammed with clothing making browsing difficult. This was echoed all around the store from kitchenware to bedding and beyond. The shelves were so packed, that the merchandise, boxes and all, were on the floor. Once you got off the main aisles, you could barely maneuver without running into or bumping something off a shelf or rack...and help you both if someone was trying to pass you. In addition to the unorganized chaos that was the stock, I was shocked at the condition of the store. Carpets were stained, ceilings were equally stained and dirty, shelving was old and worn...just sad. Additionally, I am used to Belk having some of the best prices and sales in the retail space. This store offered very few sales and good priced items. To be fair, there were A LOT of shelves and racks with no price tags, so you assume the price on the item is the going rate. Service matched the feeling of the store. I walked by numerous associates, and not once was I greeted or assisted. When I did ask an associate a question on pricing, their response was lacking any positivity or helpfulness. Overall, awful Belk location. Breaks my heart to say that, but I prefer to forget this location exists for the brand.

Lands End you buy at Belks is not the same as the Lands End you buy online yet Belks doesn't tell you that. This Fleet Feet location sits inside of The Streets of Indian Lake in Hendersonville and is a well stocked, clean and welcoming spot for all your running needs and wants. This was my first visit to a Fleet Feet, and after sharing what I was after, Logan, who was the Specialist who assisted me, walked me through their process, which started with a full foot scan. Based on this scan, the system recommends different shoes and wildly enough, the shoes it recommended were the ones I had been scoping online based on my foot issues. Logan pulled a few pair of shoes, let me try them on, walk around, even go outside. He also educated me on the feel of each, plus pulled a few options of insoles that would best support my feet. The process was comprehensive and factual without being overwhelming, pushy or timely. I ended up walking out with a new pair of Asics and nice insoles, running me around $250 out the door. Expensive in general, yup...but these prices are standard and I feel the value was a bit more there considering the process. Overall, I will certainly be back to this location. Academy Sports is situated on Gallatin Road just beyond or before the Walmart shopping center…read more While I have no certainly loyalty to a big box sporting goods store, I will say that if I had to commit to one, after my recent visit to Academy...it probably would not be them. Popped in on a Saturday morning after shopping online. Figured be best to look in store before purchasing. The store is large and laid out well from a section standpoint. Everything is labeled, easy to find and easy to navigate. The store has seen better days. After walking around, some sections of the store give off "closing" vibes with empty or disheveled shelves and displays, or products on display that definitely need to be replaced. To go along with that, the floors are worn and stained in multiple places, shelving units are in disrepair, ceilings are stained, and more. The store needs some TLC. While I was in store to look at very specific items, I decided to wander the aisles and look for any deals or items of interest. I walked around the store and through each section for over 15 minutes, and passed by no fewer than 12 Associates and not one time was acknowledged or spoken to. Not that I needed help, but it is wild that no one took one moment to greet a customer, not even when I was leaving the store and passed by 4 Associates huddled by the registers. Overall, the store is not a good representation of Academy, or at least the Academy Sports I remember visiting. From condition of the store to service, or lack thereof, this location did not show well. Selection if solid and prices are not the worst, but without that, this would have certainly been a one star review.

Came back in town for a visit, looking for some fishing line and see things haven't changed at all. Older gentlemen employee holding 3 brand new fishing rods in his hand, using them to cram garbage down in a can.....yep....no surprise to me either.
