This dentist had to inform me that my daughter is missing 2 permanent teeth that he saw from the panoramic X-rays Shine ortho sent to him. Those x-rays were from LAST JULY and no one from shine orthodontics thought that was important to share with me?????? I'm very upset with that lack of communication. That is terrible. My daughter even won free braces to use when she is older, I see now why they are giving free braces away! No pre-teen gets excited about the prospect of having metal in their mouth for years, but Dr. Suffield diffused all my pre-teen angst with his cheery, positive attitude and bright smile. He was kind, caring, and always had funny jokes to tell me as he was tightening my wires--which turned what otherwise would have been an insufferable ordeal into a really pleasant experience. I cannot thank him enough for being such a wonderful orthodontist and friend to me for the 2.5 years it took to straighten my teeth. Being under his care made all of the difference for me: it helped me stay positive about the whole situation, and also helped me adhere to his guidelines and wear my retainers after my braces were taken off. Now, many years later, I'm about to graduate law school and I feel confident inside and out. Appearance isn't everything in life, but having straight teeth surely helps one feel more beautiful. I had permanent retainers put on my top and bottom teeth. A few years ago, I noticed one of my teeth starting to shift. I called the office, scheduledcan appointment, and they were all still super friendly and talking like old friends with me. I asked Dr. Ison if I could have my permanent retainer removed and just get some clear ones. He had them made (free of charge) and had them adjusted to fit somewhat like invisalign to fix the tooth that shifted.
