AMAZING! We were visiting from out of town and decided to stop in for lunch! The food was INCREDIBLE and the service was the best I've ever had! Highly recommend!

These servers here are super friendly and really happy to serve us! Love to see a small business thriving! Honestly there were a lot of Latino patrons which I think speaks miles to the authenticity of the food here! Honestly I loved my dish! Super affordable prices! Will definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful meal at Hidalgo's kitchen. Our favorites were the fried fish with garlic sauce and loroco y queso pupusa. We thought that the birria was just okay, a bit underflavored but it was nice with the hot oil. Rice and beans were nice as well. Our server was awesome and she gave us some quality recommendations.

Great food and service! The birria pupusa was stuffed to the brim and delicious! Definitely worth your time if you're in the area for lunch!

We were in Colorado for a weekend trip. We went here because my husband was craving chilaquiles. So they pulled up as a good brunch spot for chilaquiles. So we went here, let me start off by it was a very welcoming, homey little spot. The workers were just amazing and very attentive and took care of us right away. So service was amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's definitely a good little spot to take a few kids with you and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now let's talk about the food.... The menudo was spot on amazing and I would definitely get it again if we went here again. The chilaquiles my husband was disappointed since they were dry and didn't have a lot of sauce on them. He said the taste was all there but didn't like how they were served. I got huevos divorciados. I got a medium hot. They were extremely tasty, the only thing I was disappointed with was that my tortillas were served under my eggs an they were alittle undercooked. I've never had eggs served on top of the tortilla, it was definitely different. I didn't take a picture but my kids got some carne asada tacos... an well let's just say you can never go wrong with those. Perfect serving portions and they were very very tasty. Overall, I rate this place a 4 only because of the disappointment with the chilaquiles and my eggs. Oh yeah the price was let's just say alittle pricey.

Outstanding Salvadoran and Mexican food. Amazing and friendly customer service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean and inviting environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] First time having Papusa and was not disappointed. Ordered the Pork Papusa, Carne Asada Tacos, and Birria Tacos. All were presented wonderfully and very delicious. Will definitely come again and recommend to others.

I grew up eating tamales from Grandma Carrillo. The town grandma. The food here was different than I've ever had. It was good, hot and well presented. BUT, We asked about the green chili there and got a sample to try. My brother and I know our stuff about green chili. We've never had green chili like theirs. It wasn't green chili in our sense of the word. It was more like tons of sour cream with flavorings in it. No heat and (in my opinion) kind of blah. The Chipotle sauce on the enchiladas was very different as well. Same sort cream base. When my brother and I first asked about the chili, in all honesty the waitress had no clue what we meant by green chili. I'm thinking that their versions are related to different recipes from different parts of Mexico. If that makes sense. but.. don't get me wrong, it was very good. Nice place to eat.. but give me some more common Mexican food. There was not ONE TAMALE in the menu. No sopapillas. No vermicelli. No chili con carne. Of your looking to try a different type of Mexican food, go here because it is tasty. I can NOT say I had a bad meal..... it was just something different.

Upon quick search online, this restaurant was only a stone's throw from the very food hall. And placing my order online was quite easy although since it was through a 3rd party app, for the restaurant to recognize my order took a minute (I called them after 10-15 minutes after I had placed my order and they fortunately had it in their system where they had already been working on it.) By the time I walked up to it, everything (two fish tacos, refried bean and elotes) were all nicely bagged and ready to go. Inside: Quite the ambience. What was most intriguing were the swing seats at the garage door that opens up at the street side (looking over Tejon Street. See photo I uploaded.) They are perfect place for kids to sit (although they might be (at the same time) dangerous if they are not careful as they can easily fall from them.) Spaciousness with lots of wooden feel. The lightings and tables/chairs all match to be harmonious. Employees/service: Friendlily greeted me upon approaching the kitchen entrance. One of them immediately handed me the food so there was absolutely no wait. Food: Quite good. Pescado tacos (2), refried beans (looked soupy at first and yet I realized that it was the perfect runny-ness when I took a bite and elotes with lots of flavors. All of them are good portions and the price points were at par. Whereas many will agree with me that this is not the most authentic Mexican place, decent/solid service, fun ambience and good/solid food are three main elements that make me say that I was quite happy that I got some food from Zocalo to satisfy my hangry-ness.
