The classes start off with warm up which is meant to get your heart rate up. You can go at your own pace. Then the real fun starts as you start punching and kicking the bag to your heart's content. Music pumps you on throughout. It has the energized feel of a spin class but folks of all ages are participating. I also like that they keep the place clean. Wiping down equipment 2x a day and airing it out by propping the door open. The bathroom/showers are also maintained and the ladies shower has amenities such as shampoo/conditioner and body wash. I LOVE BBB at Bayside because well first of all there is actual parking next door for it. Parking for a classes-only gym... In QUEENS?? Unheard of. But more importantly, everyone is serious about fitness and works really hard exercising, but no one takes themSELVES too seriously. It's not a popularity contest. It's mostly young professionals who are there to do their thing, hype you up if necessary, and peace out. The music pumps you up, and like my favorite instructor Carlos says, this place encourages you to "Eat something healthy and don't be a jerk".

They have a small seating area where you can wait and watch other shoot in the meantime. There's a jacket rack in the hallway and a bathroom available. The staff there was very sweet and welcoming, and our instructor, whose name I didn't catch (tall, long hair), was a great teacher in going through safety and the basics & giving pointers and answering questions! Our lesson just had around 4 people total to begin with, and then 2 joined later, which seemed decent (since you have to wait until the last person clears shooting before we all grab our arrows again). After you're finished, you have the option to take your target sheet with you if you'd like a small momento! It was such a fun experience for me personally and a great date night place. Would definitely do it again and recommend it, especially for anyone who wants to try out archery!

Pro: - You can do make up during the week without telling them ahead. Just show up. They won't turn you down. -great and enthusiastic instructors, especially leading instructor Charles. - kids are always engaged. Also emphasize in eye contacts and concentration. Con: - class size can go up to 15-20 kids in a small space but they have enough instructors/ assistants. Last two sessions I saw have 4 staff each. One session only has 8 kids so ended up 1:2 ratio. - part of the session they will divide the group. With two groups trying to yell loudly, it can be confusing and distracting for the little ones. - limited seating for parents to observe. Sometimes you walk in you don't lie where to stand so you won't block other parents. - Minus one star for small space. Conclusion: Will seriously think of joining long term after my groupon runs out. It will be about $1600 for 12 months for 2 sessions weekly. It is a great sport for kids and more importantly, I want my little girl to be able to defend herself. Tip: they often had introductory Offer on their website of Facebook. First time I see they have Groupon.
