I Having kids now and looking at gyms for them - i think back to how awesome Butch's gym was - focused on the community and creating community - and wish there was a place like Butch's where i lived. I am naturally a shy person so it's hard for me to make friends people at this gym. Make assumptions way too quickly especially the coaches and the veterans that go there like I said my favorite gym I've ever been to I will never come back to you guys again or recommend you very disappointing

I LOVE BBB at Bayside because well first of all there is actual parking next door for it. Parking for a classes-only gym... In QUEENS?? Unheard of. But more importantly, everyone is serious about fitness and works really hard exercising, but no one takes themSELVES too seriously. It's not a popularity contest. It's mostly young professionals who are there to do their thing, hype you up if necessary, and peace out. They have a small seating area where you can wait and watch other shoot in the meantime. There's a jacket rack in the hallway and a bathroom available. The staff there was very sweet and welcoming, and our instructor, whose name I didn't catch (tall, long hair), was a great teacher in going through safety and the basics & giving pointers and answering questions! Our lesson just had around 4 people total to begin with, and then 2 joined later, which seemed decent (since you have to wait until the last person clears shooting before we all grab our arrows again). After you're finished, you have the option to take your target sheet with you if you'd like a small momento! It was such a fun experience for me personally and a great date night place. Would definitely do it again and recommend it, especially for anyone who wants to try out archery!

Nkem is really more than a personal trainer but also a fitness coach, checking in to see what his clients are up to to ensure healthy habits outside of his training sessions. I didn't realize how much I needed Nkem until he went on a short (well deserved) vacation and I didn't see him for a week. Even while he was away, he still made time to check in on me to ensure I was staying on track while holding me accountable for the gaps in my progress. When I lack motivation, he keeps me persistent.
