Be aware if you are a party of 2 that Oscars will seat you with another couple at the same table. Our table mates were lovely, so I wasn't sad at all. Food: My husband ordered the salad (great dressing), shrimp, and crème brulé. I ordered the Szechuan green beans, streak with mushroom sauce, and crème brulé. Dinner was outstanding! We each had martinis and wine. Hubs also had a margarita. Great all around. The food did not disappoint. Show: Freaking amazing!!! I've been to more cabarets than I can count, and this show left me more impressed than I've ever been. Makeup, costumes, and abilities on pointe. The MC was hilarious and what an astounding background in comedy and acting. It was an honor and a privilege to watch. Then they gave a meet and greet outside. Love. Sad Part: It was my birthday. When Gypsy started reading people off, I was excited because I saw my name second from the top. I run a gay straight alliance at my middle school and hubs was filming so we could show the kids. But. He read the first name then skipped mine. Then he read the rest. We all saw the paper at our table because it was right in front of us. I'm sure he just got caught up or maybe couldn't pronounce my name. It made me a bit sad though. Nothing like having your husband film your excitement only to...well...When the couple you don't know gives you pitying looks. Ah well. Still an awesome show with amazing impersonators! What talent!

The 2nd time we stayed here was in the winter. It was a cozy, much smaller room. The pouring rain brought out the best feature. A cannonball like fireplace which radiated the warmth of your best dreams. Texted the staff requesting it be turned on. Ah, it kept us warm all night long. So peaceful & cozy. We slept deeply & soundly. The beds in both rooms were A+. The complimentary breakfast included fresh berries, granola, bagels & other selections such as hard boiled eggs, lox & juices. We ordered food one afternoon from the onsite pool menu for our friends who visited for a couple hours. The staff set up a lovely table spread in the breakfast lounge patio. It came from the restaurant on site "Del Rey." Hummus with grilled pita & veggies. Also the veggie ice bucket & 2 salads. There's Mimosas in the evening. Also "freshly baked cookies from 8-10 pm." They were oatmeal chocolate chip which the cookie monster in me happily indulged in, though not every night. Unfortunately there were a couple safety issues in the smaller room's bathroom. As a cautionary tale, beware. One was the added wooden shelf above the toilet in the smaller room. My boyfriend who is on the taller side bumped his head into it the first day. Hard enough to make a laceration of about 1 cm. bleed. Second the window was sealed shut. Looks like someone had tried very hard to open it in the past because one of the slats was broken. At least the bedroom French door windows opened onto the patio. There were 3 pools. What made me happy is there are sun protection lotions provided. Along with complimentary water. The main pool was heated & open until midnight. The 2 smaller ones were referred to as "cold plunge pools." Seeing dog people here, as a former dog owner I would only bring my dog here in the winter. The weather seems too hot & intolerable for dogs in the summer. To end on a cheery note, another great discovery was made. About a 15 minute leisurely stroll away are fantastic walking/bike paths next to a bridge/creek. Many locals up and about in the morning hours here. Being a fan of microwaves they were absent in the rooms. When I mentioned this concern to the staff they said if needed they would heat items up in their employee break room lounge microwave At least there were no insects! Truly impressive. The icing on the cake was being able to read The Desert Sun & New York Times newspapers daily. How relaxing & what a treat.

They have great employees and a good online shop, though nothing compared to what's in stock. It is more boutique style (which feels more inviting though slightly hard to navigate during weekends and peak hours with more bodies in the store shopping away) in size but very long in layout with clothing, swimwear, accessories, socks, and underwear on every wall and rack visible. Great novelty items, t-shirts, and even some adult toys as well making it a very well-rounded shop. I think they had a lot of new items in and wanted to super stock for the weekend I came in, which is great but in a smaller space... It definitely felt even smaller. Made a small purchase that was very easy. Everyone was super welcoming and provided good service.

My stay was negatively impacted by the hotel sprinklers spraying my vehicle overnight. The water…read moreleft severe hard-water spots across the top surfaces of my car, and after washing the vehicle multiple times, the marks are still visible and feel rough to the touch. This appears to be more than normal water spotting and may require professional detailing or paint correction. I expected my vehicle to be safe while parked at the property, and this caused avoidable damage and stress during/after my stay. I would like Hyatt Desert Oasis to take responsibility and contact me about compensation, including reimbursement for a professional detail/paint correction or an appropriate credit/refund for the inconvenience and damage. To improve, please inspect and adjust the sprinkler coverage near guest parking so vehicles are not sprayed, and block affected spaces.

Plenty of space to spread out! Cons: despite ample counter space, there's only one, regularly sized sink in the bathroom--if I were in charge of remodeling, I'd make it a pair or an oversized one... While perfectly adequate, the furnishings are rather dated in general, and the property overall could definitely benefit from a refresh.
