They'll accept and file noise complaints flippantly, which happened to me when my insane upstairs neighbor falsely accused me of a noise violation after harassing me daily with her own constant noise since moving in. Considering noise complaints result in a hefty fine after the initial warning, this seems like something that should be investigated and followed up on. HOA negligence aside, the area is gorgeous, the courtyard is spacious and green, and the fees are low. I recommend to the HOA, firstly, to more consistently enforce its bylaws, and secondly, to require evidence of rule breaking from accusers to protect innocent homeowners from false accusations.

Our building caught fire and while they opened up the clubhouse for us the day of, since then they have done nothing but be unreasonable and unaccommodating. The fire left 60+ people suddenly homeless and a fence was quickly erected around the building and padlocks placed on the doors so you can only get in to get your belongings when the association lets you (which I understand is for safety because parts of the building have been condemned and they don't want people squatting, so that part is understandable). The problem is that they are only letting people in between 8am and 4pm during the week, which is when most people are at work. On top if it, the first couple of days they came over late, letting us freeze in the cold November air waiting for them to let us in the building. They gave preferential treatment to tenants who were friends, letting them have access outside the allotted hours, but not other owners' tenants. They gave us only two days' notice to move out things and couldnt be bothered to spend one weekend at the condo building so people could finish packing and moving their things out. They've stuck to their business hours. Keep in mind, this is how they're treating people who are currently HOMELESS due to a fire that started in a vacant apartment in THEIR building. Their communication with the building owners has been atrocious. We've been finding out things from the maintenance guy. Even worse, the whole reason we can't live in our apartment (which was practically untouched by the fire) is because they cheaped out and didn't separate the utilities between the buildings and so we have no heat or water. If they'd done this when they were supposed to, five fewer families would be homeless right now. Speaking of heat, several tenants have had to buy space heaters because the association often doesn't turn the heat on until December. Once it was 54 degrees in my apartment! The clubhouse is anything but. It's basically the storage and office for the association, even the "common" area. There is a sauna, but it's being used as a storage closet. There are quite a few nice working-class families that live here but also some seriously shady folks. Not a week after I moved in I had a gift waiting on my doorstep from some guy in the next building who had taken a fancy to me and must've followed me to see what apartment I lived in, and then somehow got access to my building while I was asleep. I was scared to go out by myself for weeks afterwards. We've had our building graffitied several times, including once across the entrance with all sorts of sexist slurs that I won't repeat here. Previously there was a guy who lived at the other end of the building who would randomly pull the fire alarm. And of course, the (real) fire started in a recently-vacated apartment and we are still waiting to find out if arson has been ruled out.

I…read morebeen having an ongoing issue since May, 2025 with the neighbors that moved in next door to us. we been having ongoing issues with them for 7 months now from them burning allot of incense smoke, and aroma smell coming from a powerful HVAC diffuser. The scent diffuser was most likely hooked up wrong! It's getting allot worse too. It's causing nuisance, and allot of health issues for us. I had multiple asthma attacks from them! The scent is going through our vents, and shared walls. It's very strong and overpowering! we can't even enjoy being in our own home anymore without smelling it, or getting sick from it. My girlfriend is coughing too. Everyone is not only coughing, but also sneezing. I have to wear a face mask in my own home! My rights have been ignored and violated! The HOA has done absolutely nothing to address this issue. They are allowing it to continue. I also think the HVAC unit was hooked up wrong. Could be a leak. You have to drill a hole into the air ducks are at to stick the hose into. Supposed to be properly insulated. Could of put in in the wrong vent too. It all started when a hole was brought to our attention outside which is right where their living room is, in our back yard. There were birds living in the hole for 3 months before the finally fixed it. The birds could of caused more damage to the insulation. Most likely was not properly insulated. Between that and the diffuser, something is way wrong for that amount of scents to be going into our place! It's hazardous to our health! Now the HOA is telling me that I have no rights to file complaints because I'm not the homeowner? My girlfriend is the homeowner and she put me on the account. As a resident, I still have rights to file these type of complaints! They have done absolutely nothing! They sent 2 unprofessionals over one time that did absolutely nothing. Did not do a proper inspection! The smell is now getting even stronger with winter coming because the higher you put the thermostat on, the more scents come out of the vents! I am being forced to move! Is that fair to me??? I now have the city involved. Everytime they go over there when the smell is going on, they don't answer the door. Go figure. They are doing it on purpose. For the HOA to send my girlfriend a cease and assist letter is BS! I'm still a resident and still have rights! I just filed a new complaint with the BBB, which gives me the option to share my review with the news media. I'm not just gonna sit here and smell their disgusting scents from incense smoke, and aroma. I can't breathe in this house anymore! How is this even legal??? I'm planning to go to the consumer fin protection bureau, the FTC, and the consumer affairs as well. I'm not stopping protecting my rights just because the manager doesn't believe me. They made a mistake on sending us parking stickers and when I didn't get mine I was threatened to be towed. I have moved out and have been out for two months now and I was told I would receive my deposit back. Every time I try to get an update I'm given excuses. I'm seriously debating taking legal action here because that's a lot of money. I haven't received a single thing back. They were unhelpful about any issues or maintenance that needed to be addressed. The parking lot is a constant mess and a majority of the residents double park because there are no clear parking lines. One of the heads of the "Association" threatened to not give me a vehicle sticker because he didn't understand that my vehicle is covered under my dad's insurance (Which he somehow thought was illegal, I was 23 at the time) meaning they were going to tow. Now I might understand a negative attitude towards me if I was a bad Tennant. But the thing is, is that I never once had a noise complaint, was never late on rent, followed the rules, kept a clean space, etc. Last but not least, safety. It does not feel safe here. They fail to take the tenants' complaints and opinions into consideration. If you look at the reviews currently on Yelp, the only good ones refer to previous management before 2020. There is only one recent review referring to new management and that reviewer had nothing but bad things to say about this management, and rightfully so. I agree with absolutely everything they had to say. It is an absolute terrible building to live in and is going downhill fast. Not worth paying for. Do yourself a favor and look else where if you plan on purchasing a Condo or renting. My family and I plan on moving very soon.
