We went here recently for drinks and coffee beans. It was difficult to rate this one, as the drinks ordered were decent tasting but there are other less desirable qualities like accessibility, parking, noise level and seating - so I am focusing on my personal experience. We attempted to try this place on several occasions but were unable due to the place being closed when we thought it should be open or encountering parking issues. When we did manage to find parking one day finally AND they were open, it was packed! (on a weekday morning around 11:00 am!) I wouldn't have expected that; I'd say this place definitely already has a following. When you walk up the stairs and into the small shop it is SO NOISY that we couldn't really communicate with the barista very well, which is perhaps why she sold me the wrong coffee beans? I don't know. I asked specifically for a bold spicy chocolatey dark roast (whole bean) but the barista recommended the one pictured below, which I didn't realize was a medium roast until I had already purchased. It was busy and I tried not to hold up the line. I could have asked to exchange but I didn't since she talked it up as the owners absolute favorite, so I decided to try it anyway. It didn't make great espresso at home. (I've never used a medium roast but heard that Italian baristas actually prefer it so thought I'd try. Already missing my old coffee!). That said, I'm sure it would make a good drip coffee. Unfortunately, that's not what I make or particularly enjoy. As espresso, it came off as somewhat flat and lacked texture, depth and character. We were also told we were allowed a free coffee with purchase or beans and would I like to use it on my drink? Yes! But then somehow we wound up with three drinks at the bar, so in the end, I think we paid full price. The third drink was a basic small drip coffee. Neither of us would order this. Is it a free DRIP COFFEE with purchase? This was unclear. I am still confused what the offer is. Since we had already paid and it was so noisy and busy we just went with it, but it was annoying. We got lucky to get comfy chairs but most of the seating was metal barstools and the noise level was crazy. Though the barista helping us definitely steered me wrong and seemed confused overall, she was very friendly and pleasant. The actual drinks were good - as an ex barista I am picky. I ordered an iced mocha and my husband got a latte of some sort. (I don't know exactly because, again, I couldn't hear. Lol). The coffee was smooth and the chocolate was just the right amount of sweetness. (I prefer mine slightly on the bitter side.) The whipped cream was perfect. The beans for sale are roasted on site WITH ROAST DATE. A definite plus. The negative is the lack of proper guidance from the staff. It's important to listen to customers and understand that not everyone makes standard drip coffee. I have a variety of methods that I use including pour over, French press and espresso. (We may be a bit 'country' here in camas but we aren't simple!) Overall I think the shop has potential if you don't mind the parking, accessibility and noise issues, and the fact that the hours of operation are limited. I deducted a star for these things, as well one for my experience with selecting the beans. If I was rating JUST on the drinks alone, it would definitely be a higher rating - perhaps even 5 stars. I think overall the drinks are some of the best in the local area. It was just such a clunky, awkward experience! Despite the negatives, since the drinks are good I probably will try again and get the appropriate beans next time; I will update my review if and when I do. Until then, if I just want a drink, the other local places (Piccolo, Squeeze & Grind) are much more convenient. Squeeze even has a drive through. read more

This is a very nice place with great drinks and food and wonderful service. The folks did this right for sure. Love that they set up the outside for a great sitting area and the bench in front is very cool. The pooch and I enjoyed the sit while Mom and the girls went in to order. Battle Ground location -there was one staff member and they wore a small piece of plastic that hovered over their mouth. It's one of the more ineffective masks I've ever seen , even for this town. There were also 5-6 customers with no masks on. Avoid if you believe COVID -19 exists. read more

Completely unacceptable that the shop wasn't requiring staff or customers to wear masks indoors. No distancing and no ventilation in the building. This practice is dangerous and selfish to the community, as well as a violation of current WA state mandates. We have a responsibility to protect those who are vulnerable. I honestly don't understand how this place has received so many one star reviews for not blindly following draconian mask policies, and allowing their customers to make a choice for themselves. Last I checked, one of the things this country was founded on was FREEDOM OF CHOICE.
