We enjoyed our cabin and the host, John, was very friendly and helpful. We were there in chilly weather so our cabin's gas fireplace was delightful. There was also a private deck where we were able to sit out for our cocktail hour. John provides breakfast that we found to be delicious and filling. He was also able to meet our gluten free request. John the owner is very accommodating and super nice! I asked for a small cake and some bubbly to celebrate our 16th anniversary and he made it happen! (SeePics) He was very helpful with suggestions as to where to eat. He told us the places that had takeout service. Our suite the Hillside was clean and the breakfast delivered to your door at our selected time was delicious and perfect. He showed us how to operate the heaters and the gas fireplace so our suite was warm and cozy. My only suggestions to make a stay at the Hillside even better would be to add glass to the corner shower to keep the water from dripping onto the floor as the curtains did not prevent that. Turn the bed to face the fireplace, put two floating shelves next to the bed for nightstands, put two slipper chairs on either side of the bed, and hang the TV over the fireplace. The room was lovely but the only place to sit was on the bed or the dining chairs from the bistro set. We will definitely come and visit the Hidden Springs Bed and Breakfast again. read more

Our stay at Hidden Springs was amazing. We rented the single carriage house cottage, and it was so quaint and charming. First off I was impressed with the way we felt at home, the main house is open for everyone at anytime and upon entering we immediately felt this. We helped ourselves to fruit and drinks. And used the fridge multiple times for our own wine/food. The owner, John was so kind and helpful with tips/being available when we needed/and checking in on us. Second, the cleanliness of everything was superb, so nice. Even though we stayed two nights, John was amazing enough to re-clean and set up our cottage for us each night. I also have to say that the breakfast that was brought to us (at whatever time we requested!) was 5 star in itself, homeade, delicious, and hot! We will be back! It was so lovely!! read more

We stayed for a night and wished we could have stayed more! John the host is super attentive and Explained history of the house and gave us a tour. Granted the house is old but it is charming! Hot breakfast of sausage and eggs and fruits is so good and coffee served to you the exact perfect time you want it. The homemade bread John baked is so good!!! This was our third time staying here, and every time is better than the last. We have stayed in 2 different suites and both are beautifully furnished and very clean every single visit. John, the owner, is incredibly attentive and does everything he can to make you feel right at home. His breakfasts are AMAZING! We had a wonderful weekend! John was incredibly hospitable and made sure we had absolutely everything we needed. we stayed in the Spring Gate suite. It was small but very cozy and just what we needed. The suite was right next to the shared space that includes a refrigerator and full kitchen. John prices himself on the cleanliness of the accommodations and I had a lovely bath in the squeaky clean jacuzzi tub. The breakfast was hot, delicious and delivered at the time we wanted it, and John brews a mean cup of coffee. We will absolutely be back! read more

I will never stay anywhere else in Eureka Springs. John made us fabulous dinner reservations at the Grand Central. Told us about the shortcut to the Passion Play and the historic downtown area. The room was super clean and wonderfully appointed. We even saw one of the white squirrels. As a native Arkansan I have stayed in lots of places here. I've finally found the best! This lovely B&B in Eureka Springs would be a gem on its own merit being nestled cozily in the mountains of the Ozarks with its nineteenth century charm and comfortable access to the town. The owner, John, however, is what sets this place apart from its competitors. From the moment we arrived he was informative and attentive, conscientious and gracious. He works tirelessly on site, and when he's not seeing to each of his arriving guests personally, he is keeping the property clean and constantly tidying the suites and public areas. The breakfasts are sumptuous and prepared with care. He, like an excellent waiter, checks up on his guests just enough without being intrusive. When we arrived yesterday afternoon. The innkeeper promptly met us. John showed us to the common area and our suite. John was very hospitable and caring. He is there to answer all your question or if you need something the room doesn't have. He'll get it for you. We liked that they weren't intrusive but there if needed. We felt very comfortable at the bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Spring Gate suite right off the main entrance. The bed was very comfortable, the jacuzzi tub was relaxing. He brought us breakfast at our selected time. He served 3 cheese scrabbled eggs, ham and cheese pastries, fruit and juice. The breakfast was good. We will definitely will be back. Wow...what a delightful experience! I found this place while price comparing to a couple other B&B's in Eureka Springs and picked it because it was the lowest cost. However, turns out it was actually perfect! John (the owner) took care of all of our needs completely, provided a delicious breakfast (the locally sourced breakfast pastries were amazing!), helped us with rides as necessary, and genuinely shows a true passion for hospitality. Also, the location makes it super easy to walk to all the night life/food/bars in the town so we never took our car (there is not much parking available downtown). What a hidden jewel in Eureka Springs! We are here for the Eurekan Sporting event. Not only did John allow us to check in early before the triathlon on Friday, he was up at 4:30 am on Saturday cooking us breakfast before the 100 mile bike ride! We both got poison ivy rashes from hiking and he gave us his personal aloe Vera to use and told us to keep it! So helpful, such a yummy breakfast, not one bad thing to say about this place! We came with a group to stay with John at this lovely B & B for an event we were at near by. We stayed in the deluxe cottage for 5 days. We were thrilled to wake up to the sun coming through the blinds into the room in the morning as well as the view of the lush green trees filling our view. The room has its own private deck and is a stand alone building. John brings breakfast in the morning or you can use the main house deck if you have a group to be with staying in other rooms. The weather was awesome on our trip but there is a nice air conditioner so if too hot you are fine. There is a cute gas fire too if it were a colder time of year. Coffee, tea, and a fridge are in the room. There is a very clean jacuzzi tub in the room if you need to soak after a long day. THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED I'VE EVER SLEPT IN!!! The owner/innkeeper John Speed will go out of his way from the second you call to your last departing minute to make sure you have the time of your life in this adorable little town. He takes his time to talk with you, provide incredibly helpful tips, and even find you alternative lodging if his establishment is full. He offers easy parking even after you've checked out so you can walk the short distance to town and save yourself any hassle. Plus he can offer discount spa treatments in town. Lastly, the breakfast was divine! Do yourself a favor and stay here for at least a night...or better yet two or three! read more
