This gym has the oldest equipment of any planet fitness. And some of its been broken for a long…read moretime. The place is clean just like most Planet Fitness are so that's a good thing. The bathroom and the shower areas are clean and orderly. There is not many free weights and the bench press machines are very few. All the machines for all of the normal stuff like leg presses and curls and bench press and the like are all very very old. Most of them are broken or have the weight machine broken to the point where if you put her on 20 pounds it actually has a force of about 100 or more making the machine totally useless. If you go to any other Planet Fitness, you'll find many machines this place has only one of each so if someone is using the deltoid machine, it's the only one around. The same with the leg press machine and the ab machine. I go there in the mornings because I get there early, but you have to be choosy on which machines that you will use.

This is definitely the smallest location I've been to in terms of square footage and equipment, but it didn't feel too crowded. I feel like equipment is limited for weightlifting machines, but I was here for cardio so there were sufficient machines for that purpose. Also just as an observation, the cardio machines here do not have individual tv screens compared to other locations. They do have large tv screens with a few channels to watch. Plenty of clean up stations for you to wipe down the machines you use. Planet Fitness frowns upon the grunting and bro-intimidation, but this location had some dudes grunting and being loud and obnoxious with their work out. I would have liked if staff said something to them. I would only come back here if I'm already at Club Pilates and I wanted to further my work out. If I was going to a Planet Fitness for a full work out, I would want to go to a location with more equipment so I don't have to wait on others for the machines I like.

However before getting to the facility we were in touch with the owner, but the follow-up wasn't clear. We were supposed to be sent waivers and that didn't happen. We had to go up to one of the trainers so sign a waiver and no one was able to tell us the pricing which was strange. Part of me felt like we were being excluded for some reason and we ended up going somewhere else. The workout itself was great and the facility was clean and organized. I just won't be returning personally, but others should give it a try. It looks like they may be looking for a specific type of person to join and that wasn't us.

They know how to push without being overly pushy but I think they roughly adapt to each person as much as they can. There's a great emphasis on form for all the weightlifting motions. Didn't think CrossFit would be the fix to all my joint and overuse issues but it's absolutely working. It's getting me back into the all the other sports I used to do. Definitely looking forward to staying on the journey with them but just wanted to give them a great rating. It's a fun and welcoming community also. I had this notion that a CrossFit cult would be pushy because I did have a few previous experiences of studios/gyms being like that but this place is absolutely wonderful. The equipment is the best, well- maintained, modern and incredibly reliable. Cleanliness stands out as a constant priority. You will always see Maria daily keeping the gym up to par. Even during peak times. What truly makes the gym special are the people I have met. The staff are all very friendly. Kevin is always polite and greets everyone by 1st name on a daily basis. Zac is beyond knowledgeable and always ready to help with form tips or equipment proper use and has become part of my family. Brian the owner has always been super helpful and friendly to me. I have been a member of pickup for almost a decade. Since 2015 if my memory serves me correct…read more Back then they only had one location but have now multiplied into more locations. I have always played basketball. I have always preferred organized basketball opposed to pickup street ball at the park or the gym. When I go to other gyms I'll wait up to 2 hours for a single game. Or when I go to the gym during rush hour I can never hop on a free treadmill. Here at pickup it solves all those problems. There's rarely people working out at this gym but if there is it's only about two or three people using the area. It's always clean, always smells good, always the perfect temperature in the facility. But the pride and joy of this gym is the Pick up basketball games. From 6-9pm during the week and early mornings on the weekends there are pick up games with referees and practice jerseys for everyone. Each game is ten minutes and sudden death overtime usually caused by a free throw. Yes there are free throws. Last ten seconds of the game every foul sends you to the line. It really is the best gym money has to offer if your a basketball player. If your a parent with kids wanting to join the game. They now have a youth league from 6-13 years old. They have skills camp for the kids and personal one on one training as well.
