Then I saw a group of 3 people sitting down playing cards, she said hello and that was about it. I couldn't tell who was an employee and who I could ask questions about some items I wanted. Each time I wanted didn't have a price on it. The lamps were way too high to even see. The group of 3 people were more interested in socializing than being helpful. He runs a small store full of usual thrift items but adds his own friendly, "whatever you say" attitude in his dealings which makes it a pleasant overall experience every time. Place is [unfortunately] pretty unkempt & often isn't even open when it says it should be (depends on when he gets there to open shop). Cleanliness is lower end. Prices are reasonable. All in all I don't mind popping in here once in a while to see if there are any cool finds.

Cashier had no qualms about me using a bathroom (ask for a key) and the bathroom didn't stink. I think I am developing an appreciation for clean public and semi-public restrooms as I am getting older. ReStore is literally in a category of its own…read more This is THE largest thrift space I have ever been in. But it isn't the quantity the blows you away. It's the quality. The first sofa that struck my eye was sweetly priced. Alas my small space couldn't handle this piece even if I tossed out 2-3 pieces just to make room. Regret. I shouldn't have sat in it because the instant "OMG, this is so good " just intensified the regret. I just wandered around in a sea of temptation. Every time I turned a corner the space opened up even bigger. The dining section is nothing less than phenomenal. There was classic china both vintage and modern. There were delightful curios for the table and for all your nooks and corners. There were tea and coffee services, punch bowls, complete silver services some clearly heirloom quality. And then there was more! The tool section! Power tools, hand tools, parts, fasteners. And not just random odds and ends but stacks of each item clearly leftover from a major building project. Like the paint section. To my inexpert eye, there's enough to paint a small house. Prices ranged from "they just want to get rid of this" to " I'm pretty sure a big box store somewhere out there might have a better sale" . The latter usually applied to obviously new items still in their original packaging. Some packages were still factory sealed. To be honest, I regretted not eating enough lunch and bringing some water. The size of the store was just wearing me out. I clearly need to come back with a list. It's so big in there, you can't just randomly browse you need to focus. Just off the top of my head, I've been looking for glass dinner plates for ages. It's something I keep an eye out for when I'm shopping, but I just haven't randomly encountered any that I liked. Boom! And just exactly which style would I like? For once too much selection was the problem. Well, that's a great problem for any store to have. When I got a chance to interact with the staff, they were completely delightful. I'd say morale at this location must be extremely high because you can't sustain a mood like that if the workplace is stressed. Well worth going out of your way to visit the store. I'm sure in its life it made many pies, but today it made another for our family. We are so lucky to have fabulous finds in our little town! You guys are the best!

With a sale like this, prices plummet so precipitously that I end up buying oddball items like mason jars just because I want the lid for my much bigger and more useful mason jar at home. I thought I knew the store pretty well, but I was wrong. There were all sorts of little sections that I had overlooked in my previous visits. I found a little set of bins, loaded with useful supplies for some of my favorite but more obscure hobbies. I was really really impressed by the coffee table that was priced at $.85. That is correct cents. This was so unbelievable that I checked the price tags three times. Unfortunately, it didn't fit my car, it doesn't match any of my decor and it doesn't fit my spaces. Oh well There are some sections, such as the stationary area that are so reliably overstocked that I don't even bother to visit office supply stores or check out Amazon before I shop here. In fact when I wanted to measure an item, I wished I had bought a tape measure. But then it occurred to me that the overstocked stationary area would probably have lots of rulers. Problem solved. For once, I arrived early enough that I could donate. I've been diligently collecting my donations and missing the donation times for almost a year. It pays to sign up for the mailing list because they will unexpectedly shut down donations because they no longer have any storage. This has happened to me multiple times until I wised up and got the emails. I rummaged over enough stuff, lost track of time, and finally snapped out of it when my stomach told me to go home. In spite of the attractive sale,, it was not overcrowded. It was still comfortable and gave you plenty of space to look at items and try to figure out what some of the more obscure objects were. I didn't actually end up buying very much. But clearly the fun was in the treasure hunt.

It's a gravel lot with a bunch of potholes, so be prepared. Make sure you use the bathroom before you get there, because the ones they have are SCARY. (Use the one at Wally World aka WalMart). You will pay for parking, but admission is free. So if you need a bargain, fill your car with people and split the parking between everyone (ha, ha). Unlike the Solano Swap Meet in Concord, this one has alot of retailers with new and gently used items, as well as your typical Flea Market items. What can you buy? Better question, what can't you buy. In addition to: -clothing -car parts -tires -cell phone accessories -cd's and dvd's -car sound systems -rugs -furniture -jewelry -jewelry repair -silk plants, flowers and arrangements -plaster statues -handbags You can also get some great "roach coach" food (taco's, burritos, torta's, chinese food), horchata, churro's, garlic fried, chicken, etc. They also sell fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood, eggs, nuts, etc. Make sure you bring cash, most vendors don't accept credit cards or checks. Unless you are buying furniture, you will be expected to carry off your own purchase, so if you need to, drive the truck and bring a friend. The furniture vendors will deliver, for a fee. And with the exception of the new clothes, you can expect to haggle and negotiate a deal. Now how fun is that. You don't have to wait for a manager. You don't have to hold up the line. It's all part of the fun.
