The area is sketchy but what part of Oakland isn't. Upon entering you get a rift of smelly clothes and not enough ventilation. Store was busy so I made my way to the less crowded area and moved along. As I had filled my buggy up, I was waiting for the cashier when I glanced and saw some Alexander Mcqueen shoes in my size. I said to myself, today is my lucky day. I did knock off a star as no on greets or acknowledges you and probably they are used to people just chilling doing nothing in the store. The store could be a little organized with the shoes and general nic nacks they have on the shelves. If you looking for a bargain and things that can be washed and disaffected then don't judge and make your way over here.

I have been shopping there for 3 years. Great deals great selection makes me overlook the…read moresystematically hostile cashier.(older lady) That lady always types prices instead of scanning labels and consistently overcharges you. Today there was a different cashier who charged me 4 items when I had 3 and told me she cannot refund me despite her mistake. She was the store manager, nice, but still. This is done purposefully. It has happened too many times to be a coincidence. Another way to boost revenue is to charge men prices for kids items. I don't have to be treated that way. I am a custimer and I have donated dozen of bags of items over the years. Will go to Savers instead.

The selection is VERY limited and it feels kind of dirty and disorganized in here, despite the usual items being organized by category and size. Staff helping me at the register was friendly. Fortunately, it didn't take Pat and Jane long to secure this new spot down the street. What they gave up in square footage they gained in foot traffic. It's a bummer that they lost the separate furniture showroom they had at the former location, though. They do still bring in pieces, albeit on a much smaller scale. They already had pretty good turnover of goods in the old space so they should do even better here. Even when they get high-end or collectible items in, they mark them reasonably. One of my favorite scores so far has been my 4-quart Corningware casserole (Country Festival pattern) for $11 (goes for up to 3x that amount on eBay/Etsy, not counting shipping). No matter where Adobe lives, it's always worth dropping in.

I got their info from the Lindsey Museum website and called over a week ago. After an extremely long time on hold, they took all my info, and all the info about my car, and said someone would call me back. It's been almost a week and no-one ever called. When I called them back today to tell them that I'd need to move on, if someone wasn't going to come get the car ... all the girl on the other end said was, "Sorry, m'am." I asked if someone was planning to come or did they have a reason, etc.? Again, she just said, "Sorry." That was the end. We hung up. She didn't ask me for any info., or offer any reasons, nor try to save the donation. It was a very strange and disappointing experience. So, unfortunately, Lindsey Museum lost out.

I truly hope they stay in business for a very long time because so many fabric stores have closed, including Joann's. It's becoming harder and harder to find sewing supplies, especially patterns. Many patterns have to be ordered online, and that can take a while to arrive. Sometimes you want to start a project right away, so waiting for a pattern can be a real bummer. Having a store like this is such a blessing, and I hope it will be around for many years to come.

First off I walked in there feeling inspired already because of all the different materials to choose from. They got beading, fabric, cute paper for scrapbooking, wood work and etc. They got refurbished sewing machines for sale as well. Also, if you have any questions the ladies are pretty helpful.
