We ended up having a last-minute venue change to Ladder, and I am so happy that the prior venue fell through. I worked directly with the owner, who was awesome! He was able to work with what we wanted/needed to be covid friendly during an event, and he was always accessible. I had preselected appetizers for everyone, and I did drink tickets. We ended up taking The Jake lounge, which worked out perfect for us. We had our own bathrooms and had our own bartender and servers. Highly recommend it if you are throwing an event!

For food, we went with the Korean Chicken Sando, which was excellent, and caught a half-priced Steak Skewers appetizer that was a perfectly cooked medium-rare and honestly fantastic. A great deal on top of a great dish. Glad we gave The Red Door another shot. This visit showed the real potential of the place. Will definitely be back.

It took a little while for the bartender to make our drinks, but once ready, we decided to bring them over to the lower table area. Once we were finished and walking out, the bartender asked us to bring up all of our glasses and napkins to the bar. I thought bussing our own table was a little odd too. Really didn't like it, didn't taste balanced and it looked different than someone else's who ordered the same thing, not sure if the bartender forgot an ingredient. The bartender also wasn't tasting the drinks which I usually see to ensure it was made correctly. This one had curry in it as a listed ingredient and it was just way too strong a flavor. It was a rum drink with some mezcal but it just tastes like mezcal and curry powder. The place was pretty busy but people were coming and going frequently. There's only one bathroom which really isn't enough for a bar. Seems like there's potential here but I didn't like the menu offerings and the sanitary concerns leave me with no desire to come back here.
