Great bartender, Steve - very personable and knowledgeable about the spirits. Great environment. We will be back again

Not the kind of place I really want to sit in and enjoy a cocktail. Dungeon like. The music is loud hip hop, not something I mind, but worth noting if thats not for you. I sat at the bar, and honestly didn't feel like it was super clean. I don't think the counter had been wiped down for a while. Staff were doing their best but seemed overwhelmed on a Saturday night. I was watching them make the cocktails and did not feel like it was very sanitary. They've got one small sink they're rinsing everything in, they were chucking stuff, literally chucking and slamming metal. They were dumping out people's drinks into the same side of the sink and then rinsing in the other side. But stuff was splashing into what should be the clean side. It's not a good setup for a cocktail bar. The cocktail menu had 8 drinks on it, 2 they were out of. Nothing had whiskey in it. I got a drink called Darjeeling something. Really didn't like it, didn't taste balanced and it looked different than someone else's who ordered the same thing, not sure if the bartender forgot an ingredient. The bartender also wasn't tasting the drinks which I usually see to ensure it was made correctly. This one had curry in it as a listed ingredient and it was just way too strong a flavor. It was a rum drink with some mezcal but it just tastes like mezcal and curry powder. The place was pretty busy but people were coming and going frequently. There's only one bathroom which really isn't enough for a bar. Seems like there's potential here but I didn't like the menu offerings and the sanitary concerns leave me with no desire to come back here.

A lovely woman in the restroom overheard my friend and I unsure on where to venture, and she suggested this place! Moody and welcoming. Absolutely loved it. We went in ~10:45 on a Wednesday pm. Apparently they do live jazz weekly as well, but we'd come too late. A handful of bar patrons, a couple making out in the back of the dining room at their cute table, a lovely bartender, me& my bff. We really hit the jackpot for ambiance last night. Decor in there is so cute. I wish I took a picture of the table lamp on the bar. It was embellished with beads hanging on the rim of the shade. Our drinks were top notch. Mine was a citrus vanilla profile and hers was a savory martini. The sandwich, I had one bite of it was yummy. I don't like imitation lunch meats though. CATFISH was breaded and fried fabulously. Not oily. Crispy and crunchy. So happy to have discovered this place! The bartender told us they just celebrated 6 years of business!

Turns out they had almost all high top tables, however we were able to be seated at the low table that seats 8. Other members of our party were able to be seated at 2 comfy chairs and a few nearby high tops. Food: excellent! Service:: excellent Ambiance: excellent So good that my husband requested to return for his birthday the next month. Only glitch was they had double booked. However we were still able to be seated in "our" spot

The herb ranch sauce would taste good on a flip-flop and the tofu was so tender & tasty. I love the shiitake bacon also. The PC Reuben was very good, but the Reuben sandwich at Garden Grille is a better. The seitan texture in Plant City's sandwich was really moist, but the "meat"could've used more flavor. I also couldn't taste the sauce, it needed much more. It needed cheese too, which Garden Grille has. $16 is about $3 too much for the sandwich. The espresso martini was okay ($14). There are way better ones in the state and Plant City's tasted watered down. Friendly staff, but service can be slow. It wasn't that busy, but I had to wait 10-15 minutes for my pizza after I finished eating my Reuben sandwich.

I opted for their wrap. It was well stuffed with a chickpea "tuna" salad. I found it substantial and filling; the taste and texture were excellent, and I was sated and ready for my drive to the city. Unfortunately, I don't expect to be back to Providence any time soon. I'd love to come again when the restaurant is open -- good vegan/plant based food isn't always easy to find.
