Stopped by here for lunch on a pretty warm day, but sitting on the patio was an absolute dream. It is super shady and the fans kept it completely comfortable! I started with the "Just Peachy" mocktail, which was insanely refreshing and amazing (I will be coming back just for this drink)! For food, I built my own pizza, and it did not disappoint. The toppings were so fresh and flavorful, and the cheese pull was top-tier! Huge shoutout to my server, Phillip! He was so sweet, attentive, and made the experience even better. I came in for my birthday on Wednesday while in Sedona, for happy hour. We asked for the outside patio to have a view for my birthday but we were sat at a corner table. We ordered pizza, three pastas, salad, happy hour margs and sangria, and kids meals. The food was great! Although The margaritas were definitely just sour mix. The sangria was much better. Three of us at the table are servers so the gratuity on 6 tops is no big deal we even tipped extra but the service we received was definitely minimal. Again, the food was great but it felt like we were just left in the corner. They didn't do anything for birthdays neither. With both upper and lower deck seating (in and outdoor) this place truly had it all! The moment you walk in, this cozy lobby area greets you with cute little trinkets to buy and look at while you wait! Now I am gluten intolerant and I'm not 100% sure if the kitchen was cross contamination safe, however their gluten free options were amazing!! Everything we ordered was SO good! Hideaway house was a great restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch/dinner while admiring the scenic view of the red rocks of Sedona. I highly recommend to reserve ahead of time if possible. The wait was manageable but I can imaging it getting quite long during peak times. We were able to be seated on the patio with a great view of the landscape. Our waiter was very kind and helpful. We decided on the Kat's way/green goddess pizza, French onion soup, and the meat lasagna. All three items were delicious! My goodness I get the hype!! The view is breathtaking and the patio seating feels nice and cozy :) The food is classic - really yummy but nothing that I'll find myself craving randomly at 2am. This is an extremely popular restaurant. Be prepared to wait. They have their own parking lot but don't be surprised if it fills up. Parking is almost impossible everywhere in Sedona. You can probably park illegally in someone else's lot but if you do that, good luck to you and don't send me your ticket. The inside is funky and delightfully decorated. If you get really lucky and are able to sit on the deck while you dine, the views of the red rocks are tremendous. The menu is very well written and made me want to try everything. In all honestly, I do not think the food is amazing. The place is as cute as a bug in a rug, but the food is not spectacular. I totally get why the place is so popular because of the location, the great menu, and the overall funkiness. Just know that the food is good but maybe not great. We tried both the onion soup and the sausage soup and they were both solid. The Alfredo with chicken and broccoli was good. The Caesar salad was good. We also tried a "Kat's Way" pizza (half Date Night and half Green Goddess) and it was nice and fresh. Our server was a very nice guy and we could see he was working hard. I would suggest going harder on the drinks here than on the food. The cocktails are very good and they offer a number of mocktails, too. For some reason the Yelp waitlist wasn't working when I first accessed it but after I went to the restaurant, I was put on the list and it worked. I am a huge fan of the Yelp waitlist and recommend it highly, if you can access it. Funky interior, beautiful views, tough parking, and good food. It's worth a visit. read more

The best thing about this place was beautiful views and the cute set up. Otherwise, it was very very mediocre. I get that it's an incredibly busy and touristy spot, so I'll give them credit for that. We got there about 15 mis after it opened on a Thursday morning, was given an attitude for not having a reservation, was told that it would be a 40 mins wait, given a pager, and that if we didn't make it back to the restaurant within 5 mins of our table being ready we would lose our spot. That's fine. I get it. The problem is...the food was not great. It wasn't terrible, but it was not delicious. The gluten-free pizza crust was soggy and tasteless, the cheese was undercooked. My son's shrimp dish was spiced strangely and he couldn't finish it.The kids meals were drenched in butter. No one finished their meals. Everything was overpriced. Again, I understand this often the case for touristy places like this...you are there for the ambiance, not the food. But, I imagined there are other restaurants in the area that have better food and service and similar views. read more

I had heard great things about the peach and prosciutto pizza. That was a definite must. Bonus when we found Kat's Way is half peach and prosciutto and half green goddess, which also sounded yummy. The crust was awesome! We agreed while the peach and prosciutto was unique, we favored the green goddess for the creamy pesto ricotta and fresh, spicy arugula. My friend did not enjoy her French onion soup and left it mostly untouched. It had quite an impressive cheese pull and I personally thought it was decent. She thought there was too much cheese (is there really such a thing?!?), so when it sat for a bit, got too congealed and hard. I had a spoonful and liked the contrasting crispy onions on top combined with the cheese, soggy bread, rich broth and caramelized onion for the perfect bite. The grilled cheese that came with it was not worth the carbs or calories though. I enjoyed the hearty meatballs which had quite a bouncy texture. We did not like the cheesy bread that came with thus dish either. The grilled salmon was cooked nicely and I appreciated the much needed green veggies that came with it. Quite a healthy meal but the portion of the salmon was on the small side.0 We walked in on a Friday evening around 6:30 and got seated right away. Appreciate that. Service was good too, although we kept having to ask for refills on the water since the shared mason jar was small and we kept chugging water. They also tack on a 3% credit card fee. read more

So many good reviews but the food is not it. We got the hummus platter. Not a lot of hummus in the bowl. The wings were good. We got 2 burgers cooked medium, one of them was burnt. We purchased a pre-dinner drink while waiting for our table, and the bartender (possibly new?) seemed unfamiliar with what soda water was and severely under-poured the drink. The entire glass was maybe 70% full--if that. This "well-crafted" cocktail was $16, lol. We were eventually seated downstairs on the patio, directly in front of the kitchen exhaust fan. Not necessarily a huge issue, but certainly another turnoff. Our waitress was friendly enough, but she also came across as somewhat dismissive. Not once did she offer us another cocktail, which I found unusual. I'm not sure what is going on with service these days, but when you add to the check total you build your tip. As for the food, I ordered the mussels, and four or five of them never opened, which obviously means they should not be eaten. I also specifically wanted the appetizer portion rather than the entrée served with pasta. Server mistake. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant. There are far too many great places in Sedona where you can spend your money and actually feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer. read more

Inside is really cute - great seating options inside and out. The food was phenomenal! All of their breads are made in house and you can tell how fresh the they are. The house bread (with dipping sauce) and the foccacia are amazing. We tried the mussels, meatballs, and pizza and everything was great. Mussels in fra diavolo sauce were amazing - I got them extra spicy with more Calabrian chile and they were perfect! We also tried the bbq chicken pizza (thanks to the recommendation from the amazing bartender who was so helpful and friendly!) and it is the best we have had. Stop here for sure! I was so hopeful for this place and it was just ok. We arrived on a busy Thanksgiving weekend without a reservation, so expected quite the wait, but the reviews here guaranteed it would be worth it. We started with the avocado tomato crostini and it was just ok. The avocados were fresh but the tomatoes tasted more like they were out of a can. The soup was good, but for the portion I wouldn't say it's worth the $11. The crispy onions were piled so high and so greasy. We ended with a the peach goat cheese pizza which was good. Overall, the service was ok, we kept having to ask for water refills, and the portions are small for what you pay. Stopped her after our hike in Sedona because of the high reviews and was very disappointed in several things. As always I will highlight the positive first. Lack of parking - we had to circle around the parking lot twice before moving off to another lot to find parking and walk over. You definitely need to plan accordingly if you're coming here. 2. Rude hostess - the hostess sat us on the patio where the table was submerged with in water. There is no possible way to sit without getting our shoes soaked and we had a dog with us. When asked to be moved, she was gave us attitude and told us to move the menus ourselves. 3. Actual Server is not attentive. After sitting for 15 mins, we were finally waited on. When I asked him on a few menu items, he just seems as if he did not want to work there. 4. Food could have been better. Not good and not the worst thing ever. However, if I knew, we should have gone somewhere else. Food we ordered: Calabrian Sausage soup - came out cold. Yes it's cold outside but the soup tasted like it was sitting for awhile Side salad - overpriced. For $9, we got an old Cesar salad that is about to expire. Alfredo with Chicken & Broccoli - this was ok. The pasta was swimming in a deep pool of sauce. Almost tasted like soup pasta. BBQ Bacon Bird pizza - had ok flavor, way too much bbq sauce specifically located in the center of the pizza covered by a mountain of fried onion strings. Kids Mac and cheese. This is the only dish that was good, my kid loved it. This is just disappointing for the amount of time it took us to find parking and wait 30 mins. Service needs to improve. You should not be seating or trying to seat people in a table submerged in water especially when there were several tables available around. On that note, I am not sure why we had to wait so long when there's so many tables available too. There is 2 floors and the bottom floor was pretty open when we had to use the restroom. read more

This is one of those places that you go to truly for the views... which are totally spectacular by the way. The food... meh. That being said, I think it was worth going anyway, just for the experience and the decent service. It also wasn't too over the top expensive or anything, all things considered. Generally speaking, I'm not a huge fan of standard American fare, so nothing to write home about in that regard, but I did enjoy my Chicken Parmesan sandwich nevertheless.
