We ordered the chicken tenders and fries for our son, buffalo chicken wings that were perfectly tangy and absolutely delicious, and finished with a medium-rare ribeye that was tender and mouthwatering. What really elevated our night, though, was Martin's exceptional service. He was friendly, attentive, and made us feel incredibly welcomed from start to finish. He checked on us throughout the meal without ever being overbearing, and his energy honestly made the whole experience that much better. Walked in around 5:30ish asked the hostess for a table outside for two. She told us it was an hour wait... we laughed because there was no one waiting outside or inside at the restaurant. I don't normally give 5 star reviews to places I have only been to once unless I am blown away. The food here was soooooo freaking good! For starters, the pina colada I had was delicious. Even the salad was amazing - and it's a salad! They had a special that night which came with pasta, lobster tail, crab cakes and garlic bread - one of the best meals I have ever had in my life! I inhaled that food. The pasta sauce was on point and delightful and the lobster tail and crab cakes were chefs kiss. I'm sad I did not get to take a pic of the dessert before me and my girls devoured it. We did wait a little long for our table even though we had reservations and we requested outdoor seating and was put in the corner instead. Oh man! Prepare for parking wars. We loooed around 3 times until we gave up and parked a little over half a mile down and walked over. The restaurant is beautiful. It's cool since it used to be a bank. There's a nice bar in the middle. The outdoor area is beautiful because it looks over the mountain. It's breathtaking. We were late to our reservation, but since I checked in, they held our table for us. All the workers were kind, but the service was super slow since they were busy. Got to try the nachos. Highly recommend! Super packed and delicious. We got the half over and it was a lot. We also got the turkey decker which was stacked with turkey. The turkey had a nice pepper flavor. We showed up to The Vault Uptown with a group of nine, fully expecting at least a little friction. Big parties tend to throw even good restaurants off their game. Not here. The setting does a lot of heavy lifting, but in a good way. You're right there in Sedona with those red rock views staring back at you like a postcard that decided to come to life. We grabbed a table where we could take it all in, and it never got old, even halfway through the meal. The space itself has energy. Not loud for the sake of being loud, just busy in a way that makes you feel like you picked the right place. You can see the bar in motion, the kitchen doing its thing, servers moving with purpose. It feels alive without being chaotic. We ordered all over the menu. A couple steaks, some seafood, a few lighter dishes, and of course drinks to match. Everything came out the way you hope it will but don't always get. Temperatures were right, timing was tight, and nothing felt like an afterthought. Even with nine people, nobody was left sitting there watching others eat. Service was dialed in. Our server kept track of everything without making it feel like a transaction. Drinks refilled without asking, plates cleared at the right time, questions answered without a script. It felt natural, which is harder to pull off than people think. Here's the honest takeaway. A lot of places in Sedona lean hard on the view and forget the rest. This isn't one of them. The view is incredible, sure, but the food and service actually hold up their end of the deal. We came here a little after noon and were seated immediately. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and we chose a shaded table outside. The view from the patio is absolutely beautiful and makes the whole experience even better. We ordered: * Smashburger: I wouldn't necessarily consider this a traditional smashburger, but it was absolutely huge with two large patties. It also came with the best french fries. They're very thin, crispy, and honestly delicious. The portion is big enough that it could easily feed two people. * Ribs: these were amazing. The meat literally slid right off the bone and was cooked perfectly. They also came with the same delicious fries. They also have a great alcoholic beverage selection. We ordered IPAs. We asked to be seated on the patio and got the perfect corner spot with an amazing view (as seen in my photo!). We made reservations ahead of time because all the videos I saw suggested we do that. Good thing we did because it was very busy when we got there. I wanted to sit outside because of the view. It had been raining earlier but luckily it wasn't when we got there or I don't know what would have happened because part of the outside is uncovered. The view is beautiful though! That's mostly what we went there for. We got the Caesar salad that had one huge crouton. Definitely something different! It was tasty though. My creamy Tuscan pasta was super rich. I entered sometime after 1pm and was seated promptly (I requested outside seating. Glasses are already on the table - they looked a bit spotted but the server replaced the glass upon request. Evelyn was my waitress. She was so nice. I ordered the Lamb Lollipops (lamb rib chops) and Trash Can Nachos (1/2 order - thank you Evelyn for suggesting the half order). When they state 'Shareable' thats not an understatement. The portion size was really shareable - even the half order. The food was delicious! See pictures. This was our first night in Sedona and we had reserved The Vault Uptown a week prior before coming into town. I am very picky with my salmon so I LOVED the blackened salmon with the poblano cream and chimichurri - it had a nice spicy kick to it! My cousins shared the Smashburger (and they should've honestly each gotten their own because it was so good) and the fries were so amazing and crispy!! We also shared the elote arancini, which is basically a rice and corn deep fried ball (hella good) and the burrata is probably hands down one of the best with the crispy kale and rosemary focaccia. Our waiter was awesome and gave us some good recommendations for a hike the next day plus nearby places to see the vortex. We got there around 4:45 with the patio half open, and they hinted we'd have to buy an appetizer to be able to sit out on the patio which left an iffy taste in my mouth. For the price of the cocktail (I'm from Denver and these prices surprised me), I would've expected a little more refined cocktail. For an app, we ordered the Vault Bruschetta which was definitely disappointing - $18 for three small slices. The toppings were tasty, but the bread wasn't crisp or anything, and just didn't taste great. After tax and tip, it just didn't seem like the $80+ check was worth it. Although we would've preferred the bread toasted for the bruschetta plate, all three were good, the salmon would be my favorite. The ahi wonton tacos were the perfect appetizer. They are kinda small though for the price. The sirloin was ordered medium rare. We waiting a pretty long time and were patient. When we got the steak the first time around it wasn't medium rare. We informed our waiter and they fix it right away. The second round, the sirloin was perfect! The flavor and sear were all there! Worth the money after fixing it. The staff were friendly and the service was pretty timely. I ordered the Ahi Wonton Tacos... 10/10 and the Brown Butter Cake (without the banana)... also 10/10. This was my first time trying Ahi so I didn't know what to expect. It was such a pleasant surprise. The Vault Uptown has one big thing going for it: the view. If you can, sit outside and soak in the red rocks because that's the highlight. I started with their Red Pill, Blue Pill cocktail, an old fashioned twist with your choice of whiskey or mezcal. I went with WhistlePig, but my glass came out visibly dirty, so back it went for a remake. Not the smoothest start. Service was inconsistent. It took a while to be greeted, my table wasn't very clean, and while my server did the bare minimum, I noticed other tables getting a much fuller experience. One server explained the dinner specials in detail, while mine skipped over them completely. Luckily I already knew what I wanted. The Creamy Tuscan Pasta with shrimp saved the night. Flavorful, hearty, and a huge portion that doubled as leftovers. I wrapped things up with an espresso martini, which was solid. Overall, this spot is more about the view than the service.
