Sun was starting to make it hot out there and my server went inside and lowered the power sunshades. Made it perfect. Started with a 16 oz Stella draft. Very fresh. Ordered the Tomato bisque as it's highlighted on the menu. Wow, don't miss trying this. Tasty. The pizza's looked divine, but too much food just for me. Went with the Exotica Beet Salad with grill chicken add. Fresh greens, beets, Marconi almonds and a wonderful lemon vinaigrette mixed in perfectly ... none of this "on-the-side/DIY" stuff, although I'm sure you could get it that way if you wanted. This was a nice little sit down pizza spot within walking distance of my hotel, which was a huge plus. It felt great not having to drive far for good food. All of their pizzas come in one size- 14 inches, which was perfect for sharing. We came in as a party of two and ordered the Au Sauvage (their carnivore pizza) along with the arugula salad, Rucola. Both were great. The pizza was thin with a nice crisp, and the fennel sausage was especially tasty and added a lot of flavor. He also refilled my water bottle and he didn't quite have enough to fill it all the way. I said it was fine but he went and got more water to fill it up all the way, which I appreciated. After a fun hike in Sedona near Cathedral Rock, my group of friends and myself got hungry and decided to get pizza. We saw Pisa Lisa and went to dine in. We sat out on the patio and ordered a delicious Margherita pizza and shared a salad called Extremo- I love olives so this was great for me! It had plenty of Italian dressing on it. The server was great, he never let our glass get half empty, it was always full. The server also talked us into Gelato, which flavors are subject to change bi-weekly. I had Madagascar vanilla bean and Lemon sorbet Gelato combined in a cup. It was so good and refreshing to finish off our hike day. The bigger issue was the food quality for the price. The chopped salad was VERY overdressed and oily, and the pizza was dominated by the cheese to the point that it drowned out the toppings (we had half mushroom and half sausage). It ended up feeling one-note and heavy rather than flavorful. It was also very overpriced for what we got--and that's saying something coming from the Bay Area. Would not eat here again. read more

We did take-out and got Da Herbie and as my issue with the other location was the amount of ingredients on the pizza is skimpy for what you're paying. But the taste was a good as the last time.
