We started with their Italian Salad, ordered the Ortolana Pizza and their Bolognese Special. When I bit into their Bolognese Pasta, I got schooled as to what Bolognese really tastes like. For the Ortolana Pizza, we added the honey chillin sauce to it and also requested for it to be made with their sourdough. Highly recommend both add one. Honestly the best pizza & pasta I've ever had. Since the dinner was beyond, we decided to get their tirimisu dessert, we were surprised at how large the serving was, absolute delicious, not too sweet. Just perfect. Presentation was phenomenal. Great wood fired pizza, locally owned, and fresh ingredient sourced! Our waitress Maria provided excellent service and our pizzas were delicious. You can customize the type of pizza dough you would like such as traditional, sourdough, or black ink dough. We also got the cannoli trio and pistachio tiramisu desserts to take home. They tasted awesome, however the tiramisu did melt a bit, so you may want to get that option for dine-in only. The ambiance for the indoor seating was nice and none of the tables were too close together. Additionally, they have outdoor patio seating that is dog friendly. WOW! This was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. We were looking a pizza place with outdoor dining for dinner so we could bring our dog. Our dog sometimes is reactive to other dogs so we wanted a spot where the tables were pretty spread out. When we arrived, we were promptly seated and the outdoor patio was actually way nicer than we expected. All the heaters were on and it was actually very cozy with the string lights as well. There was a line for inside seating and were surprised not more people opted to sit outside. Our server was great and shared the daily specials with us. We tried the wine and both the Riesling and Moscato were lovely. We shared the Carnivore pizza (12 inches), rigatoni bolognese (special of the day), and a bruschetta (special of the day). The bruschetta was super tasty with prosciutto and arugula. 3 good size pieces as well. The pizza was unsurprisingly fantastic - great char from the wood fire and tasty toppings and crust. The standout was the pasta though. The homemade rigatoni had a nice chew and absorbed the sauce very nicely. For dessert, we shared the creme brulee and it was tasty as well. The moon shaped cookie was cute but very hard to break apart. The table next to us got the brioche bread with strawberries and cream (special of the day) and it looked REALLY good. Easily my best meal in the Sedona area. Highly, highly recommend making a meal stop here. Visiting from Chicago (and very Italian) I had high expectations and they were surpassed. The ingredients are fresh and high quality. I've visited many Neapolitan places in Italy and in Chicago and this is easily top 5 in the mix. Service was kind and attentive, they have some unique ovens explained as part of your dining experience. We started with the calamari which was good - lightly breaded like in Italy. I came here with a group of girls after a long hike in Sedona and let me just say -- I will think about this place forever. It was so good! We sat outside on the patio and the weather was so beautiful in the evening. Our waitress was so kind while she explained the specials and waited for us to think. We got four pizzas. The best one was the mortadella and pesto!!! I want that everyday of my life!! My least favorite was the spicy burrata. Margarita was just like any other. As someone who always enjoys but never seeks out pizza I'm here to say that Gerardo's is a place to seek out. Every pizza lover should be wowed by the pizza offerings but even those who'd generally choose otherwise will be won over here. I was headed someplace else and arrived to find that place closed. Yelp directed me to Gerardo's, which I'd not have otherwise chosen as it's off-the-street-behind-another-building setting wouldn't draw me in. Then you park and go inside and hmmm... this place looks like the real deal: Without going into excruciating detail, know that Gerardo's has the "slow food" seal of approval and that their web site talks of their dough like this: "our dough doesn't just rise--it rests, breathes, and transforms over 72 hours. We treat it like a baby: with patience, consistency, and care". I haven't had pizza like this since my trip to Naples. I sat at the small bar from which I could watch pizzas being placed into the artful oven and observe servers carefully measuring ample wine pours. I was charmed and thrilled to have gotten any seat at all (reservations aren't accepted and the place gets packed). I had some good meals in Sedona but my meal here was the best. read more

We did not have one and waited 30 minutes which wasn't too bad as you can get a drink while you wait. It is a cute restaurant with good service. The pizza was good. Wow! What a wonderful gem in Sedona! A family-run business with a warm atmosphere and awesome food! Due to the high-quality food, the wait was a little long, but darn well worth it! The owner sat us and chatted with us a bit about the restaurant history and his family. We had the Cardini salad with homemade parm crisps (awesome!) and calamari to start. The food is fantastic. My husband had linguine with shrimp. The dish was beautiful. The shrimp was tender and perfectly cooked. Amazing! I had a pizza made in the Woodford oven. It had Italian ham, mushrooms and artichoke hearts. It was cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. We sat at the bar and watched the kitchen staff cook. It was orchestrated efficiently. Our server ,Maria was very attentive and pleasant. Overall, best restaurant in Sedona so far. We have been in this beautiful town 4-5 times in the last couple years. You have to try Geraldos!! All were an explosion of flavor and quality ingredients. To drink we had the limoncello spritz and G's Italian margarita. To end the night we had the cannoli trio and crème brûlée. This is our third time at Gerardo's. We live in California and love to come to Sedona as often as we can. We discovered Gerardo's on Yelp a few years ago and it's one of our first stops when we come to visit. This is the best pizza we've ever had. I had the burrata and prosciutto, hubby had the margarita and added sausage. Both were delicious! Also had a salad that was crisp and fresh. Service was great, all staff were pleasant and attentive. 5 Stars. Fantastic restaurant. One of the Owner's, Gerardo, greeted us as we were sat and pointed out a special Pizza that was a "Sun Devil Special" because I was wearing my ASU quarter zip. He told us all about how their family was a pioneer of the Slow Food movement in Italy and that they brought that same philosophy here to their restaurant in Sedona. His wife, Guadalupe was our server and was amazing - they made sure to give great recommendations and took great care of us. I would 10/10 go back to this restaurant next time we are in Sedona. The wine selection complemented the meal wonderfully, and the overall vibe of the place was warm and inviting. While we couldn't enjoy the patio due to the chilly December evenings, the indoor ambiance was lively and cozy. This was refreshing and love the dressing. We got two pizzas. The with pizza sauce was the Salsiccia and the without pizza sauce the Burrata. The Salsiccia was perfect with the sausage and onions. The Burrata pizza was the best pizza! The Burrata was the perfect combination to the prosciutto, arugula,and balsamic glaze. The crust was made perfectly. Sadly they do not take reservations, so go check in and then go around the area while waiting for the table. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. The service was the only mishap as we had a much older waitress that was seemingly tired, snappy in demeanor and really unhelpful. Had a quick trip to Sedona and gave this place a try. Very mom and pop feel and relatively busy. It appears to be a favorite among locals. We started with the focaccia, which in hindsight turned out to be too much bread for the evening. Seasoned well and had a nice crunch. I ordered the Quattro stagioni and my boyfriend the A.c Milan. The A.C Milan was delightful. Had lots of layers of flavor. Sweet meets savory and very complimentary. The dough in this restaurant is exceptional. However, my pizza was lack luster. They have these place mats that describe the restaurants conception and origin and spotlight ingredients, so naturally, I was excited tot et their sauce. My pizza was sorely lacking sauce. It was quite the disappointment and I even have to ask my server for Marinara. It's not the same as the pizza sauce but it did definitely help the dryness. Their prosciutto was a little thick cut for my liking. Other than that very good. Super casual setting and looks like they have a nice patio. The prices are a little exorbitant for my taste. Not sure where to start. Sooo good. Even though this is a pizzeria the true Italian heritage here enticed me to order the on special pasta. I was so grateful for that decision. The salad was an exceptional classic Cesar with added anchovies. ALL quality ingredients and I highly recommend it. But the special was even better. I had the very basic Rigatoni Bolognese Meat Sauce with homemade pasta. You must have superb chef skills to enable something this basic taste this incredible. Kudos to you! Oaxacan Tiramisu : im a tiramisu fan but this one was a little let down. just a lil tho, mostly because I like my tiramisu's with more of them lady fingers. The dessert was mostly just Oaxacan chocolate cream- WHICH - normally would like but the cream was a dash too sweet. I also will say that the hazelnut spread it came with was soooooo good. My husband and I started with the Cardini Salad which reminded me of a fancy caesar salad. It was absolutely delicious and very unique. I got the margherita pizza as my entree. I could tell immediately how fresh all the ingredients were. The pizza was complemented nicely by the red pepper olive oil that was offered on the side.
