The bar is split into this super-basic, blah area (inside bar), and the semi-patio/rooftop area, where they made some efforts to be fancy...alternating colors of flashing neons, heater lamps, and a fancy fire pit. Some of the couches looked super retro though...something you'd expect from the 1980's? Not quite metro...but a good attempt. I also don't understand why the patio/rooftop area is totally enclosed in (with open windows, yes, but enclosed). I just felt this could have been a much sleeker, much more open "skybar". Again, that super-basic inside area needed some work. It had absolutely zilch decor! My husband and I wondered why they spent so much effort into one half, but zilch on the other. Just weird. The bar service was really bad. We stood waiting to order our drinks for minutes on end...and it wasn't even all that crowded really. I got a Moscow Mule...in a basic drinking cup (not the typical Mule cup), with mostly ice...and ridiculously overpriced! I didn't even bother to snap a pic of that basic, overpriced drink. Guess I'm glad Rock Hill has a "skybar" of sorts now...but sadly, disappointing.

This was the first bar I have ever been too in South Carolina, I did a little search for bars close by after getting into town for a few days and finally was rested from driving 1,300 miles for 4 days, and decided to explore! Very cool atmosphere even with it being crowded the place was still cozy and comfortable. Other than I guess Tuesday it's pretty chill, the crowds come and go as any good ol boy bar. Also I must say I am a black woman, but I am country as hell and love country music and rock music, hahaha so rest assured, I haven't gotten any nasty looks whenever I go here , and everyone shows recognition to any gestures and voicing something out loud. Both the bartenders I have encountered were very laid back and non judgmental. Also just for notes sake, I do go out by myself so I'm never in a crowd. I might go on a tinder date or something with a guy and go bar hopping but 99% when I go places I go alone. Much easier that way if you ask me. Anywho! One of our party ordered a stuffed leeks and it was so salty it was inedible. They did fix it and admitted it should have never left the kitchen. By the time the replacement came out it was after 6:05 (and they had to leave at 6:15). So they didn't get to eat their celebratory meal with the rest of us. Not the memory you want for a meal. Desserts were good. Tort was dense - honestly not sure if that's normal. Crème brûlée was very good. For a $400+ experience and our history with Pump House, I expected more.
