I just returned from a wonderful, 1st time visit. This place offers wine, it doesn't try to sell you. It aims to match your palette. Then you can buy the wine, or not. I regret that I don't remember the host's name, but she was affable, and friendly without going over the top. I had an extensive wine section in my little village store in Vermont, and this was the first time I had the experience that I tried to provide my customers. She aced. Walked away with three bottles. I could see myself spending an afternoon there soon. Definitely a relaxed, quiet vibe. Just what you want in a wine cafe. read more

The staff is always so friendly and fun, with great wine and food recommendations, and always enjoy the weekend local bands/artists they bring in too. We swung in here again after a brisk walk around the Riverwalk trail...where we actually saw a deer at petting distance! Seems some have become domesticated? This time, my Sangria was awesome...meaning, it had a ton of fruit (Mango?), and the Red Wine even had a sweet flavor to it. In the past, it was a fruitless Sangria...which was very disappointing. My husband liked his Pinot Noir too. For appetizer, we tried this small Hummus plate, which came with this Dip and Olives...all of which were amazing, especially for its friendly pricing. The place was also nicely air conditioned, with great overhead music. The only downfall was that there wasn't a waiter/waitress. This bartender had to do it all, it seems. He was friendly, and did it well...but thought they could use a waiter/waitress, given the number of folks waiting to be served. In any case, thought I should bump up the ratings to 4 stars. This place is a Must-Have at this Riverwalk location (a perfect pitstop after a long walk!), so I hope it continues to thrive. read more

Stopped in to pick up some wine as a gift for our nephew and his bride to be. Stopped into the Grapevine after a wonderful dinner at the PumpHouse nearby. It was a Saturday evening so there were folks already enjoying themselves at the bar as well as it looked like a book club meeting. There were still plenty of tables and seats. Charles welcomed us in (looks like he was a one man show) and instructed us to sit wherever we would like and he would bring over menus. We were just there to drink but the food/snack menu looked on point. I guess that means it wasn't a one-man-show since I would assume someone was in back to prepare food. We were wavering on our decision on what to get but Charles made an excellent recommendation for a Pinot Noir bottle and we split it 3 ways. One other party member got a beer. Overall the vibe is super relaxed. The high ceilings and and warm decor makes for a great place to relax, unwind, and enjoy a bevvy with good company. Yes- it's a haul from Charlotte, but definitely worth the drive to check it out if you are in the area. read more

This place has the absolute best selection of craft beer in Rock Hill and even better customer service. 10/10 would recommend!

We come here every so often. It is nice to walk the riverwalk and enjoy a brew afterwards with a view. We were happy that all the brews on the tap list were current. We were bummed when the hazey IPA kicked, but hey, that happens with good beer.. But what we got from tap was still quite tasty. We got two other brews on tap and then decided to put two in the blast chiller from their vast selection. Chose Lenny Boy Citraphilia ($5) and Knee Deep Lupulin River IPA ($3.75). Prices were listed below the beers. We had a lovely stay with good beer. Until the check came. I can appreciate having an additional charge for drinking self purchased beer in house and I would have respected it if it was the same upcharge for both beers. Although our Lenny Boy was .50 more ($5.50), the Knee Deep brew was $2.00 additional ($5.75). That's ridiculous. Nice place to come, but be wary of the upchages of drinking brews from the shelf. read more

This is a local franchise. I can't add a whole lot more than my fellow Yelpers. What makes this place especially different is that it's not crowded like the one in Baxter Village. This is an up and coming neighborhood so it's still growing. The busiest time is Thursday to Saturday, especially in the evening. They have a great selection of wines and craft beers to choose from. They don't serve food but they do have cheese tray. You will want to go here for a quiet evening and enjoy the open air vibe especially when the weather is nice. Very close to the Riverwalk trail so you can stroll along the river before or after and enjoy some nature. Plenty of free parking. read more

I love this little coffee & wine shop! They have the best view and their food /pastries are so much better than the pump house across the way. There is a little cafe patio area where you can hang out with your dog, and they are conveniently located in front of the river access amphitheater and dog shop. Don't sleep on this place. Had a business meeting on a fall afternoon and enjoyed having the doors opened up to look out across the street and open lot to the river and greenway. Plenty of parking behind the building. Cute little spot with a fantastic view!! I love it when the weather permits and they have their garage doors opened! Fantastic craft beer selections. Pretty good wine selection, although at times I wish they had more selections by the bottle, but it seems most people get by the glass there. The staff are always super friendly and helpful if you have any questions or need help making any selections. Their cheese plate is very good, as well as their bread with oil! I live close by, but I wish it was walking distance, and I would be there all of the time!! Each time that we have gone it seems like everyone there knows everyone (in a good way). Fantastic location and one of the best Craft Beer and wine selections around. We love the original Grapevine in Baxter Village, but there is just something special about the setup here. Not only do you have a crazy awesome view of the Catawba River, you feel like your out in the country and away from all the cares in the universe. We often show up here to hike the River walk and then stop in for a Coffee in the morning or a nice Carolina brew after 5. They have a nice selection of cheeses and other fine foods too if you want a nice little snack paired with your fine wines. Just can't beat this joint. Well worth jumping off 77 and relaxing regardless of the weather. Kudos! read more

The Grapevine is a cute little place. There is a bar and a good number of tables inside. Additionally, the outdoor area is lovely when there is nice weather and they lift garage doors, opening and combining the spaces. It is located across from the river, and with the path along the water, this is the perfect location to grab a cup of coffee or a beer after a run or walk (or to simply drink and admire the view). I love to come here on warm afternoons or evenings and share a bottle of wine and cheese/charcuterie plates. There are many options for wine both by the glass and bottle. Additionally, there is a nice draft beer list. The casual environment makes it a comfortable place to sit and talk. My most recent visit was the first time I went to the Grapevine for coffee. I ordered an Americano, which came in a nice "for here" mug, and, though a small detail, the mugs made my experience better (mine said "Rosé is my spirit animal"). The coffee was decent, and the prices were reasonable. However, I think this may be a better place to meet people for coffee or grab a to go cup after a run than come to work or study. They had a mimosa bar available for $5 a glass when I was there with juice options and mix-ins like berries that looked fun - I want to come back to try that one weekend! One note, however, is that parking might be a little difficult to find during busy times, given the limited parking and number of stores/restaurants in the area. read more

My second experience coming here was very unnerving. There's a uncorking fee free night on Mondays and instead of simply stating that it does not extend to non-grapevine bought wines, I was rudely spoken to by a lady who may have been the manager. She, and I quote said, "So you're just going to come in here and drink your wine for free, sit for free, and listen to the music?" with a sarcastic smile. That was not my plan and I intended to buy from the store as well. I have never been treated with this much disrespect. We had my mom's 60th surprise birthday here and the staff was AMAZING! They helped us select wines to have at the event, come up with a catering menu and the ambiance was perfect. Dave and Melanie have done it again! What an awesome addition to Riverwalk. With 13 taps, local coffee, and bottles and cigars for sale, this location will soon become a go-to for neighbors and more. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and there was a diverse crowd of day drinkers, post-run clubbers, writers on their laptops (there's free wi-fi), ladies who lunch, and families with dogs. It was nice enough that people were sitting outside, and the garage doors were up letting in a nice breeze and giving a view of the river. They have some pastries along with light bites including meat and cheese plates, bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, hummus, brownies with gelato, and root beer floats. The bar might be identical to the Baxter location, but there are more tables and a long, comfy-looking bench with additional seats. It definitely feels more open, but it's still intimate and casual. I stopped by one morning, for a post-run snack and coffee. The service was really friendly, my iced coffee was spot on, and the pastry was worth undoing all the calories I'd burned on my run. All that plus a nice, quiet view of the river. This was at 7:30 am on a Sunday morning so it could morph into something else, for better or worse, as the day moves on. Love this place...yelp location is wrong. I don't like drinking at bars because they are expensive....however this place is worth the expense. Relaxing atmosphere and an incredible view. I went here today with a friend. I had a 12 oz hot chocolate. The coffee cup was really cute. The hot chocolate was okay. I had to put a lot of sugar in it to make it sweet.
