I discovered Khoa shortly after I got engaged in 2019. I was scrolling through Facebook & saw on my…read morefeed that a college friend had posted some engagement photos. I saw Khoa was located in SoCal, but I was located in NorCal. I emailed him inquiring about his accessibility to the DLR (we are huge fans). He responded quickly and scheduled a video consultation. Meeting Khoa in person for the first time on the day of my engagement shoot was absolutely perfect. My then fiancé and I basically spent the entire time riding rides, eating, laughing, and having a good time. We felt so comfortable around Khoa and I couldn't believe how well we all got along. I hired Khoa this year to do my "minimony" aka small wedding ceremony photos. I remember as I sat in the chair for my hair & makeup, he brought us all some food in case we were hungry. Super thoughtful and sweet. We did encounter a few hiccups in the engagement & minimony shoots, but they shouldn't be a focal point of this review because Khoa DELIVERED. He created beautiful memories with amazing quality. We even ordered a 40" x 60" HD sublimation print of one of his shots and hung it up in our living room. It is absolutely breathtaking. Art. It's taken me so long to write this review because I can't really put into words how much I've enjoyed Khoa's work professionally, and most importantly, how well my husband and I connected with him!!! Khoa is everything I've hoped and dreamed of in a photographer. He is compassionate, hard-working, and creative. He's quirky, friendly, funny, stylish, and reminds me of an Asian Johnny Depp. Don't hesitate to hire him - you'll be in good hands. And if you're lucky like me, you'll also gain a good friend.

He is such a…read moreprofessional, enthusiastic and good natured that I felt he was part of our family and not just someone we hired. You could tell instantly when someone is obsessive and passionate about their work and Huy epitomizes that. He knows lighting, areas and poses that give a timelessness to the images and will bring them to life. My wife and I could not believe some of the shots he took of us. He made us look way better than we thought we could ever look. One thing he did was fight to shoot us in a closed area and was given 5 minutes to do so. 5 minutes. In that time, he took some of our favorite and best photos that will be framed. Thank you Huy for your hard work and dedication to your craft. We love you and you truly made our wedding special by capturing the memories of a lifetime.

Huy Khiem went above and beyond his photography services. Huy Khiem has the talent to capture the exact emotions and moments you want and deliver phenomenal photos. Everyone love the photos captured by him that we display in our home and share on media. Went went thought many different photographers the past eight years. You name it, engagement, wedding, maternity, newborn, annual holiday family pictures...all of those we only used their service once, but we definitely making Huy Khiem our go to photographer for all future events.

From the very beginning, Meg was our point of contact. She was very professional and incredibly quick to respond to any questions we had. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Every question we had was answered quickly and clearly, which made planning so much less stressful. Our lead photographer was Kevin. We met at our engagement shoot where he made us feel completely comfortable (we can be quite awkward!). The engagement photos came out beautiful and people loved our save-the-date photos! The wedding day was super hectic but Kevin was super PRO with handling the chaos. Dan was also great as our second photographer -he is always smiley! They were calm, reassuring, and knew exactly what they were doing. The photos are absolutely stunning, beautiful, light and airy. The lighting, composition, and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations. Looking through our gallery felt like reliving the entire day all over again, from the big moments to the small candid ones we didn't even realize were happening. We cannot recommend them enough!

I am so grateful that we got to work with KLV and they captured our wedding day so beautifully. When looking into a photography team, I was a bit picky about how I wanted our photos to look. Their photos have a warmth to them, they're bright, and great composition. When I looked at their profile and Instagram, there was just a sense of joy and emotions that I could feel from them. Reading other reviews from couples, they really enjoyed working with the team and how KLV makes them feel comfortable. And they were not wrong! I got to work with Jenna during our engagement photoshoot and let me tell you, we were having such a fun time. She is so fun (and funny), but also very professional and has great expertise in guiding us. It wasn't awkward for us at all. She brought this into our wedding day! The portraits, romantic photos, and family photos turned out so great. In addition, the more candid photos were perfect. We hardly knew they were there and were just going about our scheduled day. The edits came out absolutely beautiful. There a soft tone to them that I really love. I can't wait to look at these photos every year and re-live the day! Thank you so much, KLV for all of your support and perfectly capturing the best day ever! Put your trust in them, y'all! You won't regret it!

Truth be told....I write this with a bit of a tear in my eye....not to get too melodramatic over a…read moreyelp review....but pictures...when done perfect and if your in a particular sentimental mood....can have that effect. Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look
