I will even say that it's better than Disneyland because you don't have to wait in line and you get just about the same ride time as a whole day at the park. I've watched Avatar and now Spiderman in 4DX and it's just so much fun. The seats move, there's air effects, smoke effects, and strobe lights throughout the theatre. It's really next level movie viewing experience. Parking is validated with a stamp at the theatre for 4 hours or if you forget, you can show them your ticket stub at the exit. Only thing is that I wish they had the customizable soda machines that they have at other movie theatres.

If you didn't have your normal "crowd" with you this time to eat everything in one sitting, and if you didn't bring your own plastic bag, forget it. You just paid a lot for that one serving. So a tad loss of a "benefit" (which could be construed as rip off #1). I understand, it's a benefit, they have the right. It just gives off that yucky vibe. After the movie, my friend wanted to buy the Moana Glitter Cups which include the drinks. However, you need to put the drinks in the cups - which 1) are out in the public, unsanitary, touched and opened by interested children and customers, and yes, they were already sticky (ewww!); and 2) they sure aren't washing it for you, but 3) Yay, you do get the straw in a sealed wrapper at the cashier. Clean straws don't help if the cups are not . So she bought two beverages/cups without the paid benefit of two beverages. Which can be construed as loss of a "benefit", or rip off #2. The cashier said this new policy recently went into effect a few months ago. So sad to hear this, it's extremely unsanitary - and not a great welcoming look, vibe, or customer experience. Last time I came here, they were sanitary enough about the fancy buckets we paid extra for...? Again, those were all out in the open and touched by many as well. I'm thinking Regal at Dole, please do better. I was so disappointed today. Spent a lot and was told no to everything. Not one "yes" for a positive customer service experience. (Hope no one gets sick from this, because the cups are pretty, customers are interested, and seriously, one of her lids had also been unscrewed.) The movie was good, though.

The nearest theater to us was Consolidated Theaters, located at the Kahala Mall! If I'm being honest, this theatre is pretty old and dilapidated! There was a funky smell in the air as soon as you walked into the theater (old and moldy). The paint on the railings as you walked up the stairs to the theaters was peeling off and rusty (not aesthetically appealing at all). Service was quick and easy. Prices were reasonable ($15 per adult). And the popcorn was about the only thing that was fresh and good, sadly! I will say, the seats were very comfortable! We had leather seats that reclined and personal cup holders to place our beverages (that was pretty awesome). The movie itself was the real highlight of our experience. Spider-Man Brand New Day was the best one ever! Can't wait for the sequel... oopsy! Spoiler alert!

2/18/26 Review Update:…read more Today I celebrated my anniversary with my partner and we went to watch Send Help. Lately when I go to the movies, there's never a lot of people. It's always just me and my significant other or myself and another couple. Kind of crazy to me because when I was younger, the movies would always be packed. Now here I am with my unlimited movies experience from Groupon ($21 for three months unlimited), and an empty room. I like to sit at the accessible area where the two seats are isolated and closer to the screen. I also purchased a snack saver coupon that will last all year. It allows me to have 50% off on a large popcorn and a large soda every time I visit. These two items cost about $21 so it basically pays for two visits worth which is not bad considering the savings you get all year, It's worth it if you go to the movies often. I enjoyed my experience at this location. Bathrooms are also very clean and inviting. Seats are recline-able. My only family would be that there wasn't a table like they have in Regal Kapolei Commons. What a great movie night! ---- I woke up bright and early today to catch the 7:30 AM premiere of Wicked: For Good at Regal, and it was absolutely worth it! I had 24,000 points saved on the Regal app, so I redeemed a free slushy and upgraded to a large for just a dollar. After rounding up for donation, they surprised me with a free pair of pink Wicked 3-D glasses. The theater itself was peaceful and almost empty, just our party of two and one other group. Every Tuesday, they have a really great deal where movies are half price, so you only end up spending around $7! That's extremely affordable, especially when you want to see a movie that just came out. I came here today hoping to find a popcorn bucket that might be on sale, but unfortunately, they didn't have any selections today. I'll definitely be coming back for another discounted Tuesday movie! I got lucky last time and found the Freakier Friday popcorn buckets. Now I'm on the hunt for the One Wish Willow popcorn bucket. Crossing my fingers! It actually was much cooler outside in the lobby and in the mall than it was inside the theater; at least in #5. Also, during the movie, Mortal Kombat 2 (don't judge lol), there was an issue with one of the speakers. There was a loud "banging" noise that I thought was part of the fight sequence soundtrack, but then the level didn't change, and it interfered with hearing the actors dialog... pretty annoying. It lasted for about 5 minutes, then it finally stopped. With the staffing cutbacks (self ticketing, no greeter or ushers, limited concession staff), I know it must be difficult to manage the bldg, but the uncomfortable conditions and sound issue, it certainly doesn't make it enticing to return. The overall movie was okay, notwithstanding the issue, but it's been better.

Still want to go? Bring your own box for the popcorn, bring your own seat covers, and wear your level 1 hazmat suit for the restrooms.
