We had an opportunity to walk the downtown area exploring the shops and dined at one of its many wonderful restaurants with friends. Whether you travel in or out of the area via Routes 321 or 421 brace yourself to experience some extreme grades being this is truly a mountain town. I think most of the trip down the mountain in our Motorhome was in low gear with the jake brake engaged. We had a wonderful visit here and although we knew this trip here would be amazing it exceeded our expectations in every way, if you are traveling anywhere close to Blowing Rock it's definitely worth spending some time here...

I was luckily able to hike most of the streets of the exclusive Mayfield Park neighborhood---all on top of a glorious hill. I sweated my way through various hill streets with exclusive views. Both Westglow resort and spa AND Chetola Resort and spa are in town ( former more private and up a hill) and a refuge for those who crave privacy. Lots and lots of inns and cutesy hotels. A quite small Tanger outlet is also in town. Savings galore for myself at Banana Republic! Lake, waterfall, trails all accessible within the town center. Boone City is but :10 north on the 321. An easy drive a bit more up the mountain. It's the anniversary of my mother's passing. Just want to spend time with God, and her spirit

As I walked around the stadium even the seats that were really high gave a good view of the action. It is a little on the smaller side, if you are used to going to larger stadiums. But sitting in Boone on a sunny afternoon can never be a bad thing! One of the bad things about the place was the really crowded concessions, of course maybe that was the fact that the record was set for attendance that day. All in all i will go back to see a game again.

Once inside Kidd Brewer, the seats are all decent -- not a bad view in the place. Concessions are good -- be sure to grab some cookies from Appalachian Cookie Company!! Plenty of bathrooms and they're always pretty clean, not to mention WARM during those frigid winter games. Fans are always festive yet polite. All in all, a great college football experience for this newbie!

Get there early (it gets going around 8am) to get the good stuff! The tomatoes I bought from a local farm are perfectly delicious! Saturday mornings 8am until around noon or the vendors pack up and head back to the farm.

My husband and I went to see this a few years ago and decided to go again last night. It was the…read moresame story, of course, but presented somewhat differently. That's what keeps shows such as this fresh. The show would have been much more enjoyable if the parents directly behind us had been gracious enough to remove their loud, talkative children to a section where they wouldn't have ruined the experience for me. My husband and I had to move from our seats to another row with less choice seats. They play was great! Inconsiderate parents need lessons in civility, common sense and general consideration for those around you.
