New seats and flooring with an improved smell. Popcorn is great and sodas. Free refills on the large selection. What I don't like. They aren't Fandango associated for gift cards and such. So you must stand in line to check in. That often will have you waiting outside in the elements as only three or four people can enter and get tickets. There's no clear line so people are coming and going through the same four doors. Also, the restrooms aren't handicapped or elderly friendly because of the stairs. There's no 3D option or any other appeal than a low price movie. However service is great at the counter. They are friendly and speedy. The restrooms are always clean and easy to access if your not old or handicap. For the most part, it's a great theatre for the room they have available.

I had to lift my feet off the cold concrete floor as they were about to go numb. Just a very poor quality theatre that creates a bad environment for watching movies.

It's wonderful to see how this historic landmark building in downtown Elkin has been so beautifully preserved. The lobby of the old theater is the location of the cafe. You place your order at the bar and it's delivered to your table once it's ready. The lady working at the bar was very nice and helpful. Although the cafe was pretty busy we didn't have to wait long for our order to arrive. They offer a nice selection of sandwiches and sides. The soup of the day was pepperoni pizza soup...didn't give that one a try but it sounded intriguing. The bread used to make the sandwiches was better than most restaurants and the quality of the food was excellent. They have regular events with live performances each week inside the theater.
